You do it well Static...so thought It was time I stopped by for a listen to what you have been up to....and I see/hear you have that cello creativity on a roll and it sounds damn good...sorry, no deep observations from me tonight (is there ever)...just that I enjoyed the listen...flows like a deep river.....cheers...Ed
What I have been up to for the last 8 months or so is mostly cello playing and making tracks out of that cello playing as I try to learn a new and difficult instrument. I've played very little guitar (or other instruments) all year.
"no deep observations from me tonight (is there ever)"
No, there probably aren't often many but that's up to you. People only give what they want to give and are capable of giving.
I am morally/ethically compelled to give comprehensive reviews as that's what I hope for from others so it would be hypocritical to expect/hope for that but not do the same myself. Do as you would be done by.
Good to hear you liked it and enjoyed the flowing river of cello.
classic topvega...you are true to and one with the style man..and as always sounding like the seasoned rovcker you apparently are...nice thick distortion & some cool riffing on them power chords...all is well with the rock world..got my rock fix for the day...cheers...Ed
You have a great track going on here surya...its different in a very good way...and credit to you for doing it your own way...I do agree with the earlier comments on the pitched vocal....I think if you can get that working a bit better this has to be a winner...well done to you...Ed
hey ed
im glad u liked the track and thanx for the feedback.
im working on the vocals part nd i hope ill be up with the track shortly.
Have a great day.
This is well done so far Gipish...really like the instrumentation (has a little bit of an R&B vibe to it)...It was a short sample but I`m betting you will have no trouble getting vocals...your own sounds fine by the way....keep it going...Ed
That is some mighty fine noodling Nodog...the expressiveness of the playing and the flowing backing music just carries the whole thing along perfectly....doesn`t need another thing...Love the clean tone you are getting from that Tele...I have an old bandmate/friend who now lives more than 1000 miles away from here that would totally love this (I do too)...He has been into Teles since the 60s and owns/loves a couple of dozen of them (plus damn near every amp model Fender has ever made).....Fab bit of tasty playing...much ebjoyed & big fav....Ed
I see you have feedback from some of the artists here that know of what they speak...and I think you know that I can`t really claim much knowledge of the genre...but I certainly can appreciate the work you did on the mix and the thought that went into the arrangement...and most importantly,..it is good listening music (I have been getting a bit of education here on LM).....great job Wobbin...you rock...Ed
Had my undivided attention from guitar note 1...thought I caught a wee touch of Spanish in the guitar but that bass walking along with everybody was just taking us on a trip...hard to avoid noticing the little embellishments that cast additional interest into the music...very cool work on the keys...it would fit perfectly in the "Thinking Persons Music" if there were such a genre....a treat for the musical mind and ears Dave...not a surprise when PJB is the artist....Bravo......Ed
Hey Ed thanks buddy your comments on the piano playing made my day!..man I wish I had of taken it up seriously when I was a kid!!! I have been practising quite a bit of late and intend to utilise it more and more within my tracks, my old collab partner Zappo has disappeared unfortunately, he had a serious turn of bad health awhile back and repeated efforts on my part to contact him have failed, quite worrying but it makes me get off my arse keyboard wise I guess...thanks again mate! cheers Dave :)
If I had heard this on my radio I would have been looking for the album by whoever did it....Patricia at her usual best and Brado...man you did one superb job on the accompaniment...this is just so damn good...you set the bar high for the rest of us..fab collab.....Ed
Oh thanks Ed, it's so good to see a familiar face! :-) Brado's work is awesome! I was over at your place for a visit, but you weren't home, all I saw through the window was one couch, door was locked so I couldn't even leave a note. But I do hope all is well!! :-)
You are getting some absolutely great sounds out of those cg guitars my friend...this is great stuff...gotta go have a look at your pics..but I`m thinking the great sound going on has more than a little to do with the talented player.....right on...Ed
Everyone of them has a unique sound, this one is one of my fav's http://imgur.com/gallery/QZBjOoT That's just a few. I made 2 out of Altoids breath mint tins they're so tiny hahaha I have a coors beer minikeg I was challenged to make one with, maybe I'll have some time this weekend to do that one. I'll try and get more pics up and leave a link on my pg or if you find me on FB I have a bunch of pics there. Made a few with cookie tins, werthers original tins, got another 3 stringer fretted this time just waiting on a nut and strings. So much soul in such simple instruments B-) I have a bread loaf pan with a fat dowel for a neck, one stringer. I think that's going to a guy that comes in to the dump every saturday, he's been asking me for one. I'm even considering a contest on here where the prize is a cbg, I build them for next to nothing, only thing shipping may be expensive outside the US. Thanks Ed
Tracks like this make me glad I didn`t get stuck (as most of my bandmates and their generation did) it the musical groove we spent our youths in...there is just so much good music all over this planet...I find it a pleasure to set my own limitations aside and just listen to, and admire the feelings conveyed by this kind of music...thanks for posting this one Mahloo...damn...I enjoyed it a lot.....cheers...Ed
I should have listened to this before I got farting around playing the one I just posted...but I went mellow before I even got the old Strat picked up...like the classic funk guitar stuff of course and with the cool drum kit & your synth elements it makes for a totally awesome parade...even us living could enjoy it enough to take a chance of joining in (I aint got much brain left anyway)....Fab stuff Steve my man...as always...great listening out this way......Ed
Thanks Ed, join the black parade of the half brained zombie like voodoo encrusted soldiers of funk as we give it to you dark like on this spookiest of spooky nights yet to come. (sic. queue the evil laughter, maniacally)and if you don´t have much brain left, then your safe from the brain eating zombies. As they won touch your brain, but they will devour your soul. (ooh that went all dark, didn´t it) Anyhow, glad u enjoyed this one.
Steve
Really enjoyed listening to this one yampaja...good to hear acoustic instruments and something different from the usual commercial stuff..very cool jazzy mix in that main section...good job on the production....nicely done...Ed
Thank you sir.

I'm trying to build a presence for my up coming 808 bass library. What better way to get exposer then to make hot, "make you want more" audio examples of what you can do with the bass.
Great job on the mix Fiz...I think you have a good one going..really like the intro .I would take some of the highs out of the vocal to warm it up a touch so its a bit less like a whistle sound...but thats just personal taste...I was just getting into it when it was done...keep it going its going to be a supe track...well done.....Ed
Just have to add my 2 bits to the good words already said J...I like the smooth vibe of your accompaniment but your vocal is def the star here...well done....Ed
Man..you do those keys well...a nice bouncy vibe to this one..good vibes for a fav season for me...like the arrangement & the thought you obviously put into the composition...including the cool guitar bit..big well done to you midiman...enjoyed the listen...Ed
You`ve got a few sounds in there that set this one aside from the usual Bindanok...kind of a neat trippy vibe...wel done man...keep doing it different...Ed
I think Pete has said pretty much the same as my head tells me...love it Brado...and you already have that acoustic recording thing down pat I think....look forward to hearing the final....I`v e been trying to record acoustic in various ways for a long tome but seems like just sticking a mic (or 2) in the right spot works best....Cheers...Ed
Howdy Tumbleweed, glad to see you grace me with a comment! I just happened to position the mic perfectly, and the compressor took it to another level. Glad you liked it, I might make a acoustic recording tutorial video one of these days if I have the time.
Emotions and talent have a way of producing great music...moving lyrics, perfectly delivered with heart and in my opinion perfectly accompanied...there is something special about a good song and acoustic guitar so while its good of you to offer the tracks up for remix etc I like this just the way you have done it.....definite fav austinmusic...well done...Ed
Thank you so much, Ed. Really appreciate the kind words. I like this original, of course, and this version isn't going anywhere. It's been out for almost a year now, and I've been putting out new versions of every song from its parent EP. While the other ones lent themselves better to a more stripped back working, I think this one could make a really cool electronic track as well.
My compliments on the arrangement Nate...obviously a lot of thought went into it & it shows in the overall flow and interest right through the whole mix..nice uplifting kind of vibe. No suggestions from me...I like it just the way you have done it and its damn good....Ed
Good to see the Trance Master back at it...those unique sounds you are using really do give this an amazing uplifting vibe (and we can always use more of that)...I hadn`t listened to much Trance until I got my ears into LM Mos so I tend to listen from a view of music I like and I really like this....this just makes you want to dance...but at my age I am happy to just sit here and smile.....fab job mate...standing ovation from an old guy up on the prairies....Ed
Thank you for the review and your very kind words, very pleased you enjoyed the trance piece, will have more coming in the near future so stay tuned, I think we must be a pair oldies lol...This one from OZ...Peace n respect friend...mosaic...
I see I`m the first to stop by...always a pleasure to have some music fun with you Pat...thanks much for letting me tag along with your great tune...you do it well my friend...much respect...Ed
I imagine it is not particularly easy to write a song to music that is already composed...must say your vocal delivery really fits the overall vibe of the musical composition...a bit dark & perhaps a touch of the majestic...powerful delivery...The music is really good/rich...but your vocal is the star mildperil....big round of applause from an old guy across the water....well done mate...Ed
I think half the battle is to find a track that feels right. I was in the process of writing a couple of other songs, but they both were hitting the ceiling, and then I stumbled across the instrumental for this one and it just seemed to work.
And thank you for such kind comments, much appreciated :)
Great job Larry...you have the right voice/vocal style for R&B...really nice expressive delivery & the accompaniment sounds good....finish this one...its well done...enjoyed what you have so far...Ed
