Paz y salud.
Nice work - a little less on the edge but still very fresh and original, great vocal performance and lyric and wonderful synth lines in a rhythm that has slow tango kind of swing to it. I'd like to experiment with some glitch on the bongo/ congo drums that come in but that might mess it up. Love everything I am hearing from you : )
thank you very much for the idea. Last track i really liked your glitch stuff, but i dont know how. I tried to used some gates and filters with lfo, but sounded like garbage. I would like to hear a glitched thing. I dont know how to do. Maybe you could glitched some things :)
Nice dark track - Great sound with to my ears spot on control of the distortion, and I love the break it provides a nice contrast between the vocal parts.
You've matched the tone and feel of the acapella really nicely here - rich, soft and gently melodic, as usual fantastic keys - beautiful sound production too
Nice start and interesting treatment - I used to hit my turntable gently on the side when this happened to my old vinyls though that was before scratching etc became a thing - always weirdly engaging
Stellar track - I wouldnt say I usually have much love the genre but this track is such quality, so well done - the vox, the groove, the sound production ... thanks guys
This is great - I might mix it a little different but maybe not too (I mean at the start some of synths are very up in the mix) I especially love the part from about 130 on, that's really flying, and the overall the sound production and general glitchy-ness is terrific
Hey there - just returning your listen - this track builds nicely - I'd go somewhere different with that bass at the end though, maybe write a different line that might give a stronger platform to keep building and layering - Nice start though : )
Woo Hoo Fa Fa funky - great start that really draws you in and then a brilliant musicianship and jazz funk masterfully mixed and with spot on production sound. The transitions and features from guitar and keys and sax are all superb : )
Thanks. Jazz/funk is about the only place where I can find musicians that don't mind when I flex my music theory muscles. The song is called "tricky business" for several technical reasons, a kind of inside joke.
Hey Wayne - what a lot of fun, great punk vibe, favourite phrase "They will make a real diamond
When they stick a lump of coal up your butt
You're such a fuckin' tightwad"
This is a different kind of jewel : )
Wow,Adrian Belew and Nile Rodgers? In a way i think you have a point there. I really wanted to make a song that is kinda weird, and i think it got it right, heheh.
And best of all,i got to play some guitar for a change too :D
Nice main and backing vox well cradled by warm (simulated?) guitar sound creating a rhythm which is then picked up/ built on by well chosen drums and percussion. Could easily handle some other instrumentation - horns? Synth? without killing the pop sensibility. Good work.
Love the glitch and the quirky vox and the various gorgeous very musical interludes and variety of instruments and sounds, amazingly it all holds together very well despite the disparate elements - masterful work
I was waiting for the 808's to come in! This is a good start a simple and repetitive synth pluck and some nice percussion with some suggestions of something more building or coming - then it stops. Keep going : )
Nice work mate - I think we are on a similar learning curve - except you are ahead of me! - I hear many of the things I like and some of the same questions I have ...I mean questions around how to introduce a little more variety and structure but how in doing so not loose the edge or sense of novelty in the track
ian, you are too kind to give these tracks a listen and comment, mate! this one especially is calling me back to it … whether to sharpen or blur remains to be seen! i would kill to get the space and definition of your sounds!
Wow - masterful in every way - gorgeous stereo sound and every instrument is crystal clear (nothing lofi about this) and its a beautiful evocative track somewhat melancholic but equally lifting / triumphant. Not surprised it has so many plays, fav, downloads and comments. There is a world of amazing music and absorbing listening on LM and this a great example of that
