An intriguing experimentation. Very glitchy, sounds like i'm being sucked into the deepest depths of a very dark abyss in the cyberworld. If there is such a place. spiv has always been one of favs since i've been on here, and i think you did his style justice. if that's what you were going for. Keep at it brudda. peace
That beginning synth is very mysterious, gave off an ol skool playstation vibe or something. Remnant of a FF game almost. The pad is pretty nice, and the drums make a good touch. i recognize some of the loops too. I also thought the pad could of used a tad more reverb for depth and more "ambient" feeling. maybe a slight chorus for thickening. but otherwise a great balance of instruments and a solid track brudda. keep it cool. peace
Thanks much for you words InPSYcle.
I'll try what you feel when I'll have a moment.
I only ply the organ line and the choir in the background, but the loops come from Looperman site and from Sony Music collections.
I would to try a slow melody based on something like a Madison dance (the Drums play).
Soon.
This is pretty sick, i like it. the wobble bass is pretty static. that crazy laugh is a nice touch too hehe pretty clean mix as well. well done. regards
Cute lol of course like always, your voice is great. i should of listened to this before christmas, it would made my day. not to say i didn't have a good christmas. but a great mix and overall great track. see you around. peace
This track is all over the place man. honestly the mix is pretty bad, and the wobble bass is detatched and kind of dull. there's a lot of low end frequencies as well that brings this track down and clobbers the overall clarity and audible-ness of each individual instrument. i was suggest getting into side chaining your bass. and even the drum line. one or the other. it also sounds out of time too. i would suggest going a little bit slower when making a track, especially dubstep as it is not an easy genre. i wish i could say something good, hmm i'm just giving your some honest critique. i would work on mixing alot too, as this doesn't sound like you did any panning at all either. but just work at it man, you'll get there. peace
Hm, i don't think it sounds off time or off key. what's the time signature? pretty banger indeed actually. at the same time though this isn't the best i've heard from you. i could definitely zone out this though. not half bad S & N! peace
I'll be the first to comment then. definitely dig the string loop from HMNN. i think have that one too. anyways this is haven't half bad. smooth reverses and transitions. the breaks could roll just a tad more in my opinion. this is definitely an improvement though from what i've heard form you in the past. keep working at it brudda! we all have a hidden potential, just have to find and master the craft! peace
Hm the stereo imaging on this so far is really good. and the sounds are pretty high quality. i'm liking where this is going man. and i don't mean to bash on the title, but maybe another title would fit, something that isn't as generic sounding. because let's face it i've just heard at least like the 100th song that has to do with the "world." whether it was on top of the world, around the world, all over the world. it just gets repetitive ya know? when i make a track i try really hard to give it the most obscure title lol and just typing "into the night" on youtube theres a handful of these songs with your same title. sorry for jabbering, it's just one of those things. and i'm usually pretty decent with titles, how about calling instead of "into the night" you consider "Crystal in the Ruff" hmm that's not actually halfbad..well that's just my suggestion. don't have to use it! sweet job so far brudda
Most people just comment on the music rather than write a whole paragraph about how lame the title is? lol
The title to me is far less important than the actual music content - I barely even take track names in to account when I listen to other members songs (or mainstream for that matter). You on the other hand, take titles far more seriously I see..
Thanks for the suggestions and the thorough review of my title :)
You are dubstep to the core brudda. i can imagine you spent probably a couple of months on this or so, that's alot going with the wobble bass. kind of reminds me of this for some reason http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=50m9KAoRjR4
great job
A monstrous melody bro. taking your time on this really paid off. solid mix as well. i cant tell if the bass drop is really heavy since i'm listening on headphones, i'll try listening on some monitors in my school later. but great work, not too much to complain about. peace
Glitcyhness indeed. how goes it ALX? Been a while eh. i wish i could have something to show for since the loop shut down. but i have learning a great and considerable amount of skills and techniques that i'm also spending months on end to perfect even just "one" of new tracks. i'm planning a major comeback my friend, in the genres of cinematic, dubstep, drum and bass, hip hop, techno, electronic and so much more. i got so many new projects started and progressed but i'm not going to rush anything. anyways this is great work right here ALX. you should be a full time glitch artist you really know how to make it glitch hehe peace out
Hey dude good to see you! Thanks for checking this tune.
I hope you're learning plenty of cool stuffs and am looking forward to hearing the results on the loop.
Cheers!
Good to see you still making cinematic music thyroid. I don't know if you remember me, it's been quite a while since the site was shut down. but allow me to share some imagery with you like i usually do for a heavy cinematic track. i invision a long dark winding path, with many trees following along the path. They're bark is pale and dying, peeling off from the very shaft like scabs. The branches frail with withered to almost no healthy leaves and pointy at the tips making them look like needles. the vision moves forward down the winding path, still mores trees and a whisper. nature and a voice. moving forward and moving forward, the trees seem to twist and curl like they have sprung to life the more you pass by them. The voice grows fainter in it's whisper. The vision then grows even closer, only for everything to poof into a massive black fog the size of a black hole. nothingness remains. an illusion perhaps. or maybe an act of nature. we shall never know for sure.
Offcourse i remember you, good to hear from you, and i hope you are doing well. Thank you ever so much for your imagenary pictures. I am gratefull to read this and knowing you are not far off of how i saw this period. Your revieuw is a song in its self.
Agian thank you so much.
Stay safe and i will hear from you
Nice one bro! i'm working on a couple dubstep tracks like i said. one of aiming for the more "old school" dubstep. like digital mystiks. but yea good use of automation and crazy modulation. ill! peace
Not a bad track. definitely dig the wobble synth. and what's this business about "320"? is that a DnB thing where someone want's the wav version maybe? i dunno. regards
Thanks man, i just mean if anyone wants a 320 mp3 version to let me know. Looperman only lets you upload 128 mp3's. So a 320 sounds much better on a good sound system.
Cool man i love anime, japan, and fallout 3! (fallout 3 is fu***in long as hell! still haven't beat it lol) anyways like the vibe of this track, nice synths placed and the chinese or japanese percussion works quite well. although i do not understand the title ttthdjmdmd??? lol that's just me typing geberish, does it stand for something or is that really what it's called? anyways a cool track man, regards and respect
Strange to hear you make something other dark, ambient, glitched up dubstep cyber! but this is great and i think the simplicity works well. I dunno why, but lately all i've been doing is comparing alotta of music to game music soundtracks. lol everything is just sounding like it could work well in some sort of game. just picturing alot of crazy imagery. this one in particular gives me a "Dot hack" vibe for some reason. (i dunno why no one likes that game that much, it's a great rpg) lol nerd side a little. anyways, the beginning synth gives a very nostalgic feeling for me as well, kind of takes me back to a place i know, but is unknown to me for some odd reason...i like the suttle use of the "yea" vox as well..hmm yes i do like that. indeed. lol great track brudda!
regards
InPSYcLe
P.S. i dunno if neo works for me anymore, i'm not feeling like the "ONE" you know? lol or maybe i could...
LOL with phyruis post, i'm not seeing in the description that you said it was even a drum and bass track. don't worry about him being a genre nazi though. make music how YOU invision it. not by industry standards and LONG overdue traditions. the traditions are good. and the classics will always be respected. as i respect every traditional song in every traditional genre. but were on the verge of a complete new age, and it's time for change. anyways man sheesh i like this track though, i agree with the last dude it does give off this kirby vibe. some strange dreamworld level or something. a great theme for game. i like that constant chirping sound as well. keep making music. regards
-oh okay man, i thought as much afterwards. still good track though
Thanks a lot InPSYcle.
The original genre on this song was Drum and Bass, but since a few people didn't agree, I changed it to Electronic. =]
Making it sound like something Kirby-ish was not my original intention, but I'm glad that people can relate it to Kirby. I like the chirping sound as well.
I'll keep making music man. I'm working on an EP actually. It'll be released later this month.
Your really into DnB. i've recently gotten into DnB and i'm pretty addicted. my fav genre is still cinematic music though. but this genre is really appealing. already started to listen to some known artists like netsky, sub focus, and goldie. this genre is crazy! another hit brudda! keep with the pace. regards
Yep, I love all kinds of D and B, why not checkout Roni Size,Drumsound and Bassline Smith, Bad Company,Dj Fresh,Technical Itch and maybe a bit of Calibre for good measure, I'm pretty sure you'll find some good tunes by all of the above on u tube.
Regards,
Sn 76 ,
Nice, i'd imagine those are acid loops right? because i have acid music studio and acid pro 7. and i have all those loops. at least those guitar loops. sounds like you used the chopper a little as well. nice use of it if you did. great job man. it would of been nice if you were in time for the challenge! but regardless this is nice for a couple hours work like john said. regards my friend
tyvm and acid 8 for sure its ghetto but we all start somewhere lol, cheaper than ableton and no chopper actually, variations with tempo and a simple reverse, with an amplitude modulation filter
Jeez i will admit Muzicizme does sound "sooooo daggone #####" lol this is really nice though. the instrumentation goes perfectly with her vocal. very calming and relaxing. great collab. regards
When you say you "wrote" the song i'm assuming you draw the ALL the notes in for every instrument then? that's insane if you do. unless you just not music theory. which i do not lol i just go off instinct, passion, and inspiration. but this is really nice man. definitely chills back like you imply. faved. regards
Yep! I wrote every part for every instrument. I do know music theory too though, but it's not like it makes writing easier, it just tells you why something works.
