Interesting ideas Arbus. Really enjoying the crazy licks and the effects. As far as mixing goes, it just seems that the levels are softer in the first two thirds than in the last. Perhaps you did two different sessions? I have been there (electronically - not live). Best wishes. Dan

These are surely desperate times, and then the po po's and admins wonder why people are acting out in desperation! It is one of the few medicines left for a sick society. I had no idea this song would get played this much, since it's over 700 now! Soundcloud is so pathetic now... this song has 13 plays there... just sayin'! thank you. the video was fun to make. some of the videos were stock videos and 2 were on you tube. I put credits to the producers on you tube. when I created the piece I felt I needed to put a visual to it.

rich image-conjuring work. the arabic chant style of the vocal sets it on the backstreets of Cairo or even something scarier, like Alepo. Many stories could be told on this one. Great work mindhiest. Look forward to hearing more. Dan

crazy effective into! i guess that constant hard hitting beat is the rave genre. it adds to the terror of the track. cool distorted quality to the track which creates that unstable, frightening feeling also. nice work

I like the groove you get going by :45 secs in. Very tense. Nice use of thunderstorm and rain effects. Really creating that suspenseful mood. Nice work.

Thanks Dan, i made loops of the original songs (cd), balancing the instruments is all The cure work :) Although i must say, making the loops and balancing them took me a while because i didn't change anything from the original songs.

vocal clip is classic spivkurl angst and well mixed into the track. i heard from Alex (promenade) recently. He is experimenting a lot with MicroKorg. I thought about your unique sound creations, well evidenced here, when reviewing Alex's samples. All inpsiring me to journey out into less familiar soundscapes. Regards.

Thanks for stopping by to listen! The vocal clip was all live, but each track was recorded individually so that I could do a subtle final mix. I also just received a communication from Alex where he mentioned his microkorg... I do like that synth despite it's shortcomings. Been using it since 2002 or so, about the time it came out. I think it is still the only synth that I've ever purchased new. The DWGS waveforms (a'la DX7 and other FM synths) on it are a nice touch, which expand the vintage vibes and can give a reasonable organ sound. I'm happy that you enjoyed listening to this one! I am working hard to hone my live skills again, and hope to do more in this vein once I finish my new instrument build... you know me, I'm easily distracted by hands on stuff. Thanks buddy!
