i like your beat. we don't hear too much reggaeton in the Harrisburg, PA mix. This inspires me to write something also. Nice work. Dan

love the energy of your track. love the fusion of sounds from different styles. I would say in another iteration to focus on one style and develop your special flavors in that style, but this is fun! Regards - Dan

on WSKooper - To The Moon by Perko93
i enjoy (and am challenged) by the groove in this one. A lot of energy on off-beats. i think it is innovative work you do here and you have a nice feel for mix. Would be cool to have live sax laying stuff down for this. Enjoyed it very much. Regards - Dan

Thanks for the kind words Dan. The live saxophone idea sounds great, it could add a lot to the song, I wish I knew how to play it myself. Cheers!

great atmosphere created here Bleep. Interesting sounds and great to hear the organ. Never heard of Nyctalope until now. Apparently he has great night vision. I noticed some little timing issue with the vocs around 4:00 minutes in. Neat work. transported me. Regards - Dan

Thanks for the vote of confidence, Dan. I am on a quest to get more vocalists on to Looperman. There must be thousands, literally thousands of decent singers out there who could join our community if only they knew how much we would appreciate them! I'd settle for just a dozen or so.

Hey Dan,

if you see things which need changes in the track don't hesitate to tell me! even if it's not on the "artistic aspect" there's always somthing wrong with the technical approach ;)

thanks for listening :)

I am amazed at how much you produce my friend. And the production is always at a high level. This one achieves a brooding, introspective ambience with beautiful colors and combination of sound.

I will be answering your recent email shortly.

I think you have done a great job of capturing a particular pop feel from the 80s. Where did you get the vocal for this one?

Listening to this makes me realize that I need updated synths. I love what you are doing with the Dune. Are you playing the parts on the keyboard? Regards - Dan
Nodog
Nodog replied 3rd Nov 2017 - 8 years ago
Hi Dan,
I just had another look at that this track there was more work in it than i remember i used 2 tracks which were dune 1 the first synth they made and one dune 2.5 . I also used massive and Papens Blade synth. I used the keybopard for the pipes which was from massive but i created the pipes sound from inside the synth using some wind instrument i think it was. It is not a preset. Synapse did a deal on the two dune synths they included dune1 cheaper if bought as a pair. I think dune 2.5 is on of the best sounding synth vst out there. best regards Robbie.
