Hey, this is great!. I am so happy to hear track like these. We need more! Excellent collaboration. The backing track is awesome, but I would have preferred to hear you growl and scream the words “the fear of death” with a distortion filter. But, that does not take away from the brilliant collab this is. Well done, and much respect.
I, personally, can't do the scream thing although to get it as rough sounding as I could was my intention. I suppose I could have added some kind of distortion.
Mr. Axel is just stopping by. Cheers mate, I hope all is good. Me, better now. So I see that you are still at it with some very top-notch producers. Again, you are a top guy, doing phenomenal work. You never disappoint.
Great delivery on an extraordinary track. I pray that you have continued success because you are a global superstar sensation!
hi Mr Axel im so happy to read that your all good, i know we'll probably never meet but you have been a good long time friend here and its great to here your good, thats not sentimental tosh either its genuine, you have supported me when your here with positives, some people you just attach to you are one
your music appealed to me and i found the nicest man behind the artist
when ever i see your name it makes me smile, similar to Dubjoka his profile pic always makes me smile too, it may sound a little silly but it works for me.
to have the opportunity to work with producer the calibre of Oli is mind blowing for me, yes i act confident here , but in real life im less so, dimestop is the devil in me and for us oldies having a bit of devil is great, but it is nice to put on my cardigan and comfy slippers and try and act my age, thankyou for the wonderful comment my friend
Paul, how are you, mate? I decide to peak my head back in here for a minute. I now see that you are now the top hip-hop artist here. Well done, my good sir!
This is why people love you man, you are a constant performer, who is always innovating, reinvigorating, but never imitating the other blokes on this site.
You got all your lyrics on time like fine wine. You are a real professional, because I see no slowdown with you. I hope by this summer I can get that Tracy Chapman song up for you.
My hope for you is to keep that fire burning about a thousand degrees. Then turn it up higher with every song you do, like this one, mate. Me, Im stayin' alive, with a small detour that is.
hi MrAxel comments like this give me all the inspiration i need. i try to be as original as i possibly can, do it my way because it makes me happy. its always good to see you about, if you do a Tracey Chapman track i will definitely sing on it for you if you like, shes not everyone's cup of tea but i like her work.
the fire is still burning in me i only found music production 3 years ago and singing for 2 years now. i never ever thought i would get in this deep, i admit this place captured my heart and the people within it and i just can't stop now, i might be 58 but i feel young again, what a feeling that is
Nice preview! I might put some Rock music to some of your acapellas and share it here on this site. A different edge to it, like when Michael Jackson got Eddie Van Halen's guitars on one of his song.
Cheers Mate! You always surprise me. Very youthful song. I did not know you could do it like this. I wish I had something like this in song basket of skills.
You are a rapper now. There used to be forum posts looking for rappers like you, and here you go all on your own. So what was your inspiration? Great tune Paul! Cheers from New England, US.
wow to see your name up on my track is all the inspiration i need Mr Axel, its a pleasure it really is last time we spoke your studies were your focus hope you achieved what you wanted, ive learnt an immense amount since and try to reflect that in my work i flip genres but mainly in the hip-hop field although i done a great rock collab with Danke,
to here your tune and receive a comment brings a smile to my face, im just about to start celebrating, happy new year to you and all New England from England
PS my inspiration comes comes from the loop and the talent we have here, we all grow together
Great song man. Sounds really smooth. Just one problem my good sir. The autotune is quite irritating. Having heard your other songs, vocally, you can carry a song naturally, bro! Put up the unprocessed vocals please. Well done, though. Cheers!
Wow! This is outstanding. You brought it really hard. You got a lot of talent. Likewise, you are so smooth and powerful all at the same time. Keep up the outstanding work. I have an unreleased Madonna cover instrumental completed if you would like to sing on that. We'll give it some promo here if you like. Holla!
Very masterfully done. This is what a real instrumental should sound like. It stands up on its own as an in-depth nonsystematic musical masterpiece, meaning there is righteous and adept order in the chaos of the arrangement. The Vox brings the whole thing front and center. Great fxs work too. Saturation/Distortion parts are perfect. Great final Master. Well done!
Greetings and thanks for your lovely comment. I couldn't decide on a structure for this but in the end went for a devolution into chaos as you eloquently point out. As for the guitar fx, I recently sprung the cash for the full version of guitar rig pro, glad I did as the fx bank is superb and will keep me busy for years I think! Cheers from down under.
Very funky! It sounds like you but a lot of time and effort to make this funky song. It's like a funk salad. You got a lot of cool funky things in this one like the Rhodes and the Clav, or was the clav a funky guitar? Anyway, it's funky. Well done.
The bass is two types of Reese synths with saturation provided By Izotope Trash 2 saturation & distortion. Some time ago I bought a huge package of Izotope plugins for like five bucks each. They were having some sort of one day flash sale. Maybe they needed money for weed.
Very very good! What stands out is you achieved a big sound under -0db thus not driving things into clipping. I can listen to songs like these all day because you took the time in post-production and in your mix to get things balanced and right while still having a huge sound. Not my particular genre but you made this very easy to listen to and to enjoy. Great job!
Thanks a lot MrAxel and nice that you noticed that! There is a lot too learn as suggested in the post below, but its always nice to hear some positive feedback. I spent some hours boosting the sound without getting over the top. Starting at -12Db and listening to a mix on low volume really helped me get a few steps ahead. Thanks again and cheers!
