awww *blushes*, lol. i'm truly glad you're liking what you're heard so far. with all the garbage that inexpensive technology has allowed to happen, i'm just happy to be part of the solution and not the problem. conversely, it's finally great to be part of an online community with people that not only kickass, but are a cool group of people. don't worry, man, i'm sure i'll be posting crap soon enough. it's just the law of averages, right? haha.
i'm not sure i've ever recieved such praise=) thanks! i was really surprised how well this one turned out myself. hopefully someday i'll be the one to call for the soundtrack for the zombie apocalypse=)
Wake up your vocalist, this song kicks ass!
The synth sound and the e-guitar are a very good match.
I have following idea to this song: The synths an the e-guitar are fighting a duel... artifical sound(synths) versus "natural" sound(guitar)... so there could be a dark robotic voice(vocoder) representing the synth side(artificial intelligence), versus the human voice of your vocalist representing the natural/human side(natural intelligence), doing a battle with appropriate lyrics.
Maybe a strange idea :D.
man, you're preaching to the choir, but you know how singers are, haha. that's a really interesting idea you got about the vocals. we've titled the song 'rehab' and so the i'm pretty sure the lyrics while be a layered mix revolving around addiction and unrequited love, so i think your suggestion just take root here. i try to treat vocals like another instrument adding to the mix and movement of the song as a whole, so i'm not opposed to just processing the hell out of a few takes, heh. neither is my vocalist, we're fx junkies, lol, so i'm sure he'll love this idea too. thanks, man, you'll definitely know how the whole experiment turns out!
Wow, this sledgehammer bass drum blows me away!
Very well done! After listening to some of your tracks, I recognized, that you're somebody who composes his tracks using his brain, developing thoughts.
thanks for the compliment, man! ya know, one of the things i love about composing, especially electronic based music, is you can find a balance between thinking through what works for a track and just letting go and letting the music work itself out. then at the end of the day, you take the whole thing and try to piece it together to maximum effect. i believe in emotional music and it's no use trying to force it, you'll just end up with mush. i really appreciate the compliments, man, i'm gonna work on getting some more tracks finished and online.
What a voluminous sound!
I agree with RawHead... the bass synth right from the start is essential, the whole track.
I want to hear the final version...NOW!!

Ahh..and hey... turn up the volume of the vocals ;).
thanks for the enthusiasm!! i'll do what i can to get this one finished and up asap. or at least a closer to finished version, heh. i'm really glad you're digging on it=)
This is really good! The sound reminds me to early 90's, like from Bigod 20, or early Assemblage 23 and others. Within the long 5 minutes I'd like to hear a refrain with some chord changes.
thanks for the review, i appreciate someone breaking the ice on a fresh upload. man, those are some bands i haven't thought about it ages! but if i take a step back, i can see where you'd draw the comparison, so thanks for the compliment. while i was in the revision mode for this song, i experimented with some chord changes, but i felt like everything i tried broke the flow or just didn't feel right. but that was easily 7 or 8 years ago, so maybe it's an idea that i'll approach again and see if time has put enough distance in me to come at it from a new angle. thanks for the suggestion!
hi, and thx a lot for taking the time for a close listen!!
well, you're right, there are no chord changes in this track .... that's part of my personal style, I like to keep it very simple with the chords, instead of making changes I love to build up a track with many different parts and melodies ... sometimes though I write tracks with a more complex chord structure, it depends on my mood I guess ....
First thx for taking time and listening to my tune : )
Yeah it is very important to have a strong beat. I started with Danny Byrd's Drum and Bass samples 2 and the vengeance essential club sounds 3 sample pack. U can make some really nice beats with those packs.
Yeah, sounds really good! Well, it's not my favourite genre, so I can't say at all, but I think, it's too repetetive. Needs a refrain with a female voice, I would say. Maybe yours?
Thx. Appreciate it. Well I am no poet, and Martin The Writers Poet has a hella sexy voice, I am just sayin froma girls perspective. So thats what this beat was for was his pellas. Maybe one day Ill record my voice , but his is better.
Very well done. Especially I like it the intro. But then it lacks of a dark-sounding wobbling, sweeping, pumping synth bassline, IMO. Just an idea.
Keep the good work. cheers
Prech the feedback mate. That's actually a pretty solid idea. Maybe I could go back n tweak 1 of the 3 basslines I used for this track (subbing it out with one more on the mark with what you were talkin about). Glad ya dug it. Later on!
hey thanks man! :) Yeah its diffcult recording in a bedroom with one mic haha but i think i did ok considering i had one mic, Terrible headphones, a noisy house, a piss poor laptop and no mic stand haha.

My first thoughts when listening to this track were:
Staggering zombies... coming towards to me... I raise my shotgung... an BAAMM.. BAM BAM!
Maybe you should call Paul W. S. Anderson for the next Resident Evil movie.
