I'd completely forgotten about this track so the reply was a surprise.
I wrote quite a detailed review, which seemed to have been ingored so I think really need to reconsider and write a lot less. Maybe save the longer reviews for people who I know will appreciate them.
I see someone else has also pointed out the problem of the gap between the first and second lines.
Aha - I now see you've fixed the intro so I will listen again when I'm able and maybe comment again.
I appreciate your review! I'm sorry for that late reply.
The intro really was crap.I tried some fancy stuff for both the intro and outro, I tried different instruments and rhythmic variatons for the middle part, but it changed the nature of the song.
So I ended up to keep it clean and simple, just fixed the intro and added a new and proper voice snippet of JJWeekz to the outro. Now the track is how it was meant to be, matching my initial idea. Song finished!
However, songs are never really finished, are they? :)
very special style, kind of hard-synth-pop. Somehow there's no proper intro, maybe just start with drums only? Some of vocal manipulations were too sweet!
I don't like that space at the begining just doesn't time right.
But fantastic and very commercial sounding piece to my ears.
Full of joy and youth and sunshine.
Sounds very clean cut and neat.
Sounds fun sounds positive sounds fantastic.
Interesting style here! For some reason this puts me in mind of the first ghostbusters movie... I seem to have a flashback to telling you this before on another song, but maybe that was someone else. It's just got the ethereal early digital feel to it. Love it! The bass line is pretty sweet! Excellent work! Fave!
I really love this! The only thing i would change is adding something to the first bit before the full beat comes in. Maybe add a reverb or delay to the first vocals and your track would be a great one!
Just coming across your tracks. I very much enjoyed this one, as the rest of your list as well. The music brings out something, wonderful lyrics as well.
Yes, this is good and the "Millions of stars" is a nice little line. But my first problem was the gap between the first line and the second, which is just too long.
Also, that first line cuts off too awkwardly so you perhaps need to try something like fading down the volume more smoothly.
I generally don't like very dry vocals (I'm a bit obsessed with far out sounds ie delay and reverb) but this one sounds really good. Also, it makes those bits of reverb and delay you add very effective and noticeable.
The drop back down on 0:48 to the dry vocal of "alone" works really well.
I suppose maybe there is a little bit of Blondie in this - something to do with the drums and bass.
I think this works well as a sparse track - bass, drums, a bit of other synth, vocals plus vocal FX is probably enough.
I tend to say to people whose tracks are good but only a couple of minutes that they should extend it. But I think this one is about the right length.
You might consider a more definitive ending though the fade on this isn't bad. Maybe some interesting blend of different vocals and vocal FX reaching some sort of peak and then fading away with the delay ringing out.
I would spend ages trying out all sorts of permutations for the ending as I think these vocals would be fun to play with.
now this is different...and when it sounds like this..thats a good thing...maybe electronica with a splash of some old motown and a sprinkle of Blondie......neat track hirogenium...enjoyed the listen big time....Ed
Hey this is really cool!!! Has a bit of that Beatles happy sound to it! I'm very pleased to hear you being so creative in the delivery of this and it's obvious you spent some time putting together the music as well as mixing the vocals in (you mixed them like a pro!!).
Hiro my friend you have made a classic with this my friend. Blues/Jazz fusion. I love the bass line running through, excellent use of the guitar & brilliant choice & use of vocal. Great mix and this is faultless mate. I've downloaded to enjoy again & again. Awesome track.
