on Operaish by Jynxz
This is exactly as you describe it in your description with on exception it's not wired, it's wonderful, that guitar is the standout for sure, the whole piece was great and kept me fully engaged but the git took me on a journey, this is a lesson to anyone on how the simplest of lyrics and a chant placed properly have a huge impact on a track well done mate faced, real nice listen

What's up Paul,

I'm glad you enjoyed the content.

I'm not a big fan of my Mastering on this track.

I appreciate your listen and encouraging comments
on this track. Perhaps I should Re-Mix and Re-post it.

PEACE... From the West...:-)

on Chill Baby Chill by crucethus
Hey Cru I was gonna ask the same as Chris, you are bringing delicate gentle masterpieces to the table, consistently. Even your experiments work some kind of whodoo voodoo you have, this is chillout but it got a funky edge the intro was beautiful the beat coming in a 26 and the funky keys are fantastic, I loved the drop out and repeat with its variation and percs charms used at 1.26 another great listen keep up this great work and vibe bro
crucethus
crucethus replied 24th Jan 2022 - 4 years ago
Thanks, Mate. The difference between this tune in juxtaposition to my more experimental work is that I need that experimental stuff to make something like this exist, that will ultimately just sound smooth and silky. The most interesting part is at 1:53 where I do something like a rondo. It makes it sound different and interesting and yet it still follows the same musical pathway I laid out in the beginning. This was one of my more consistent works. I am gladf U enjoyed it mate, take care and stay safe!

on I Keep Waking Up by TRAPDOC by ProdTRAPDOC
Nice track bro, welcome back to LM, the vocal is cool, fresh and current, nice beat and melody. Yes it's hip-hop-ish :)) with a dollop of pop though. Ended abruptly, maybe let it run a little longer and fade. Another 14 seconds and you got yourself a good 3 min track then
ProdTRAPDOC
ProdTRAPDOC replied 22nd Jan 2022 - 4 years ago
Thanks for the feedback! I've been dabbling in making alot hip hop and pop so sometimes they both mix together and I think this time it turned out well. And for the album version I'll probably take your advice and have a longer ending with maybe a guitar solo or some other kinda solo and that would be pretty cool. Thanks!

on the ballad by bringerofDOOM
Doom I obviously missed this first time round, this is a ballad to my ears and senses the guitar work is stunning the acoustic, bass, and the star of the show the electric lead the 808 is bone shaking with dissedence and reverb and the beautiful keys sing to my heart along side that stunning solo guitar this is a masterpiece in sound exceptional listen and a fav

kingmt77 replied 16th Jan 2022 - 4 years ago
Paul, thanks again for listening and pointing out the differences that you noticed. I'm taking note of the instruments that hit just right for you and we are one and the same when it comes to funk-jazz-fusion instrumentation. I'm working on new material. Stay tuned. Be safe Paul and kiss the grandbaby for Uncle M.T.

on CaLIcOs JoURNeY by cLEVELANDcALICO
11 years between uploads, wow, that's for the commitment to LM bro, your obviously known to familiars I'm Paul been here just over a year and looking forward to hearing more of this, great track the intro was sick, love the vocal giggle under the synth, so relaxing the vibe, it's got a modern fresh feel, love the risers, like shooting stars, great melody and beat the pace is perfect, welcome back, hope you get the best Collab a vocal would elevate this, but it's got to be standout the music deserves it. You get a fave cc the outro matching the intro :))

on somthing in the way nirvana cover first try by rockoff
Not bad at all bro, the guitar playing is great and the vox is cool, it's definitely worth adding to this a good drum beat and some bass to add a bit of variety, maybe a couple of percs too, but I like what you've got I think a vocal and acoustic guitar are the perfect match delivered right, keep up the work

Hi Modnex nice to see you about again this is another good track from you, I like your house and pop, this is like electri pop with a liquid drum and base stamp on it. The vocal is great, iwas just thinking this needs a vocal 5 seconds later it dropped :)) good return it's a footstomper bro

Sounds absolutely great Mark lovely intro love the backing vocal wicked beat and cymbal love the 2 second bass drop 34 to 36 secs, I was waiting for it to come in,it didn't, then the keys. The sax is phenomenal, this is packed already and you wanna add more, amazing. Nice soft outro too M.T.

kingmt77 replied 13th Jan 2022 - 4 years ago
Paul, oh yes bringing that bass aggression. I've been working on bolstering up the areas that I can greatly improve upon, Vocals. Every time I try to run from the sax man he just keeps popping up in my compositions! Anyway, your listening and comments help a great deal. Be on the lookout for round 2.

on adrift by Zootman
Well that was well worth 5.06 mins of my time, agree with cyber it's got an indie feel within a soft rock track. Been waiting for you to sing again Chris. The guitars are great the bass is hard the drums are staged really good beat kick and snare, but the star of this piece is your vocal mate, very very cool, it's fresh, you impressed me, original creative and exceptionally good. Great job faved
Zootman
Zootman replied 11th Jan 2022 - 4 years ago
Kia ora Paul, thanks so much. I must be a poor judge of my own stuff cause I thought the vox were the week point! It was improv and one take but still, you should have heard what I cut out, warbling all over the place trying to find melody and words. Och aye

on Valley of giants by bringerofDOOM
Valley of Giants, Well Doom I was not expecting that beautiful intro and then that kick arse beat. The strings in this are fantastic the double bass, you build some much tension and release it with a drop in to beautiful melody, great mix and sound production the outro a beautiful match to the intro, really good listen and fav
bringerofDOOM
bringerofDOOM replied 11th Jan 2022 - 4 years ago
Yeah the bass in the strings part is pretty intense. I figured the frequencies in those ranged are often overlooked, shelved, or avoided in some way. It's unfortunate. There are no rules. It's what classical would've sounded like if they had amps.

Thanks for the listen and comment.

on I want to by Transcontinental
Hey TCT, not bad mate, industrial, it's also got a feel of dudstep, I'm a streetdancer so could bot to this :) great beat nice percs and cymbals hi hats atmospheric sound outro was cool. Great first solo attempt, the only critique would be the first vocal it's very repetitive, you could drop a few, space it out or even better replace them with other quotes from orators, the music and sound production are spot on. Welcome to the community my friend, critique is an important part within our huge circle, it is always constructive and we offer an abundance of help to everyone that plays their part because it's the right thing to do, can't wait to here some punk from you, well done bro...Paul

on Every Inch Featuring SmC by doofus
Real nice track doofus great vocal and melody it's very soft and easy listening as it is and like Ian said maybe a sax/horn/trumpet maybe with strings guitar or violin, they'd all go but I'm sure a talent like you could do that anyway but good luck with what you decide.....Paul
doofus
doofus replied 3rd Jan 2022 - 4 years ago
Talent is a very gracious term to use here Paul, I'm just screwing around. I struggled with the chord structure on this one and debated going with a more lo-fi approach, but the 5 plus decades I spent on this earth automatically gravitate me back towards a simpler, softer, easy listening FM sound. Go figure.
