This is a lovely piece of music, I can picture an orchestra on a stage playing this and there was a tiny snippet in the vocals in the beginning that reminded me of Kate Bush. Can't wait to hear it finished.

Thank-you Carrol. I really like Kate Bush's work, so there probably was an influence from her coming out in the track unbeknownst to me. I constantly worry that something I compose is actually a copy of some song I've heard in the distant, or not too distant, past. I actually played the track for my granddaughter, who plays cello in the Ottawa Junior Youth Orchestra. She agreed that her friends probably could play the piece. It's actually not too complex. But, I don't think she really was impressed by it, so no live orchestra is likely in my future anytime soon! :)

Not to rehash my life but I couldn't walk or talk for five months and had to go a year worth of therapy to gain function back .. I did do a concept version but a fellow looperman off here (Boston area) jacked my equipment along with my file storage so .. It's like I have to start from scratch .. I will be posting newer stuff as well but since you gave a shout out on this beat along with the comments I am reading and catching up on .. I'll revamp the concept i came up with ..

Thanks for posting and you'll see something after the Holidays I'm sure ..

And for real this time .. I ain't letting life drag me down, you know?

Hi Twanna, thanks for comments. I love this track, your songs are touching, personal, beautiful and your voice is amazing. Your father is a true legend and it's wonderful you are keeping him alive through your music. I also am mad about in your words "Fonk". I was in love with Michael Jackson when he was in the Jackson Five and then I heard Marvin Gaye and that was it...I've never been the same since. I remember dancing so much to Ike and Tina we had great times growing up with all that wonderful music. I got to see one of my fav bands last year Earth Wind and Fire, Philip Bailey is still incredible. I"m also a mad fan of Maxwell too gorgeous for words and Aretha Franklin, MJ Blige, Erykah Badu, etc etc,,, the list is too long. I hope you tour Australia...I"m still trying to get to the States and really want to go to New Orleans.
I hope to see you tour!!!
