Great utilization of Ray's lyrics on this one bro. It sounds absolutely perfect. Not a piece out of place. Lol this is definately gettin fav'd. Great job and keep up the good work.
-Gabe
actually I had nothing to do with the lyrics or vocal structure in this one. I just suggested turning up his effects at one point and that was about it. He did them and I left them exactly how he did it. He did a fabulous job.
Haha better than the punk song i did with Ray Koefoed's lyrics. I thoroughly enjoyed this man. It was truly fantastic. At times the lyrics sound slightly off, but the one i made is much worse in that aspect so great job! -Gabe
yeah I completely cut up the vocal track and used it a lot differently than originally done in empty summer nights. I kept in all in the same order but I did create a different chorus which I really like the way that worked. I also didn't want the vocals completely inline so some of those off parts may have been intentional to preserve a "rawer" feel. thanx for the revue dude. peace love and jesus for everyone
Hey man im not sure if you like ICP but this song to me sounded like them and I thought it was truly excellent. The beginning is truly epic with the guitar and once the drums kicked in I cried from hearing the beauty. Then the singing kicked in. I was a little scared at first. But then it started getting better and better and by about 1:30 my mind was blown (that’s about when it starts reminding me of ICP) and I couldn’t get enough of it. Fav’d for sure homie. Great job keep up the good work. -Gabe
THANKS FOR THE REVIEW!!! The influence of this track was not ICP but I thank you for your reference, They are a very popular & famous group and if I can create anything that sounds like material that sells millions of copies like theirs does then I am happy about that. Thanks for the support and listen, be sure to check out my other tracks. ~SteveDro
Alright that settles it. We need to collab sometime. Truly magnificent. This reminds me of a band called Under Midnight (dont try looking them up, you wont find them anywhere) and they were a fantastic 90's industrial Christian band. The lyrics sound just like them and you have all the same elements. Which is a great compliment. This is truly fantastic. Fav'd. -Gabe
hey, Gabe, check your email, i already tagged a couple of your tracks for some overhauls, haha... great minds and all=) it means alot to me that you responded well to this one, since it's an older track, very early draft, roughly done, and it's just now seeing the light of day. happy to have made your fav list again=) i'll keep posting if you'll keep listening! seriously, check your mail and get back to me on those tracks!
If i could listen to your stuff all day i would man. Another great heavy track. I could not for the life of me get enough of this one. I think that you would definately be great for my upcoming mixtape that ima make, ya know its gonna be experimental primarily, but i will be accepting a pretty wide range. This is definately one of my favorite tracks on here man, the sounds fit together so perfectly. Great freakin job man.
-Gabe
damn, Gabe, i've got enough tunes laying around to grant your request, and i'm honored that i've inspired some addiction=) and if that's the case, don't worry, i think i've got enough supply til you decide to kick the habit=) i'm always flattered when i make an impression on the more eclectic and experimental types just as much as sonic peers. it makes me think i'm finding my proper voice in composition and the song stands for itself just as much as it does in its genre. i'm glad i'm making a fan outta ya=) thanks for helping make making music worthwhile.
Well for one i love the names of your tracks. People usually dont say much about it but if i like a title im gonna tell ya. And all your titles really make me want to listen to it. Now back to the music. I was a little afraid in the beginning, wondering if it was gonna be like that the whole time. And dont get me wrong it was good but not something that could stay that way. Once it kicked in i was very pleased. Then it slowed back down and so on and so forth. It was excellent. Great job and keep up the good work! -Gabe
ya know, you're right, no one really mentions things like song titles. i do try to give the songs interesting names and i'm glad that they've had an effect. i guess deep down, i title tracks in a way that i'd like to see and get drawn in by. that's cool that you were surprised in how the song evolved, it wasn't a conscience thought. yeah, i was really happy how the ebb and flow in this song brought itself to the fore. i'm glad you like where it's at right now, hopefully you'll find the finished version just as kickass=)
Lol you gave me ten freakin reviews so i figured id review every track you had no matter what the genre. Starting with the genres i like the most. And i was not dissapointed. This is truly fantastic, i honestly cant put into words how much i loved it. You know Psyclon 9? You definately have a very similar sound, and its excellent. Fav'd for sure homie, great job. -Gabe
hey, man, i dig your sound, thought i'd show some appreciation and respect by putting down some reviews for ya. in fact, i shot you a couple PMs regarding a couple of your tracks, if i recall correctly. thanks for the reciprocation, i'm glad i've not let ya down. especially with this project, since it's my main focus most of the time. hopefully other songs i've done under this name will engender similar enthusiasm=) i've heard of Psyclon 9, but i don't think i've heard any of their work. any albums or tracks you'd recommend? thanks for marking 'infected' as a fav, i appreciate it=) i'll get some more wraith tracks online asap and see how they strick you. thanks again!
Wow. Excellent job here, cant place my finger on what the sound is...it reminds me of something...but i cant remember...well it was a compliment. You have a lot of different sounds in there, its got some electronic, techno, dubstep, dance, and the one i cant think of thats my favorite part of all of it lol. Was wonderin if you used loops or made it all yourself. great overall track, lov'd every second. -Gabe
Thanks for your review...yes I use mostly loops in my work but do add to the beats and bass myself. I also use a lot of plug ins for filtering and distorting.
Cheers,
Trax
The lyrics are hard hitting and great, but im not fond of the minimalistic approach. I think at the minimum there should be some synths in the back, and with those kind of lyics id pump up the drums a bit. -Gabe
I know that a lot of people say to turn up the vocals but i disagree. Some songs sound good with low volume vocals, and personally i love it the way it is. Not really too rough, interesting sounds. An interesting mix of heavy and light sounds, pieces together perfectly though. A few seconds after the 3 minute mark it gets a tad repetitive, i would switch the drums up during that part. overall excellent track. -Gabe
thanks for the review, Gabe. i'm glad i'm not the only one that prefers my vocals a bit more in the mix, heh. but i do think that with some eq trickery, i can add some more clarity to them, giving the illusion of more volume, but without sacrificing my mix. at least in theory=) it's been suggested by RawHead that i ramp up the finale of the song and i'm in agreement, so that 3min mark of repetition won't be in the next revision=) thanks for the listen and your thoughts, i appreciate it.
Hey man this is truly excellent. Great usage of your external metal sounds (things other than guitar, drums, and bass, like your synth and such) it sounded really nice. Great beat, the synths fit in really nicely. Great job and keep up the good work. -Gabe
Hmmm. Everytime i review a hip hop track i tell the person that i dont listen to much hip hop but i like this one. But this is definately one of the best hip hop songs ive listened to on here. I thought the lyrics sounded excellent, loved the drums, loved the piano, loved the synth, and i loved when the lyrics stopped and the girl started talking about how kids make money. Truly excellent. The end was fantastic as well. Overall an excellent track. Great job man! And tell your stepson great job too lol. -Gabe
Wow!!! are you serious??? That is the best review ever! Man SERIOUSLY you have made my day today:)
I appreciate the uplifting and positive review bro... I really like this track and so does my stepson. He will be pleased on the good word my friend... Also thanx for favin it too. I really appreciate that... I will be sure to stop on by and hit ur list up...
Wow this is very excellent. I thought the sounds were excellent, it was produced well, and the ending was great. Keep puttin out tracks like this and you'll be famous in no time lol. Great job! -Gabe
Hey man you've been reviewing my stuff and answering my posts and etc, and i thought "Holy crap i havent even listened to one of his songs!" So, Ste, my turn. This track is fantastic, and i agree it could use some lyrics but its still excellent as is. I think i might try to implement some lyrics that are here on looperman for this song for ya and email it to ya! Anyways the sound is excellent, i love how the volume will sortof lower and get more bassy and then build back up it sounds really good. hope ya come out with some more music gold soon! -Gabe
Did I review? I'm uncertain if I actually had. I'll review anyway (man I owe a lot of reviews :P) I'm glad that you liked the track, sadly I don't have many of the sounds used in it any more thanks to my terrible laptop messing up Nexus. But if I was to do anything then I'd remake this track.
Wow excellent track friend. Usually dont listen to Hip Hop that much on here but this excellent. Truly fantastic. Pretty epic bassline, great synths and fx's. I like the lyrics too. I think the reason i like it so much is because its kindof all over the place and i dig it. Great Job! -Gabe
thnx gabe, was just grabbing some loops for a house track (it's 3.20am here) and decided to say thnx, appreciated :) now as an amateur i hope i can top that sometime in the future, peace
I love the bass in this one Mr. Twizted Tranziztor. Excellently produced, love the synths, just an overall great sound. Personally i would've just put it under Techno or Trance, something like that. But wutever you put it under, its still excellent. Lol fav'd for sure holmes. -Gabe
First of all, your name is freaking hilarious. I love it. Secondly, great track. Sortof reminds me of Royksopp. Excellent job on this one friend! -Gabe
Great piano piece man, i think if you were to make another version of this song with some orchestrael pieces in the background it would be fantastic (not saying its not great as it is, because its still excellent) just a thought. -Gabe
Great song, theres just a bit of problem with the sound balance. The synth is louder than everything else and it kindof takes away fromt the lyrics and the guitar. Drums could be up a bit too. 1:11 kicks sum serious butt though. Great track overall.
-Gabe
Well, i can tell you right now that the sound is excellent, the guitar is epic. The only problem with it is some of the sound balance. The drums and the electric guitar seem a bit too quiet the acoustic guitar that starts in the beginning and goes all the way through seems a tad bit too loud. -Gabe
