Nothing makes me happier than seeing stuff like this, Darren is a pretty humble guy, his work is deserving of projects like this. The original has an identity of its own, but that the point of this sort of collaboration. I love the cinematic elements, I use those kind of themes in my own work. A good length as well, good work. And Thanks for shining some light on Darren's work. - Aaron aka PNNYWZE
@Pnnywze Yeah Darren is indeed a interesting and good fella. And i loved tinkering with his idea. And luckily with succes. In the end thats all that matters to me. But it was a joy to work on his idea. And i was glad he accepted my proposal in doing so. Besides loving making music myself. I also love to help other music artists from time to time. To boost there ideas and creations. And make them come more into fluition. Anyway thank you for your visit and comment. Have a good one. Verdi
Theres a distinct lack of songs like this playing at clubs rn, so there is a market for it. I could see it even being extended, with some more vocalists in the mix. The only thing id maybe do is add some slight saturation to the drums and/or bass, & up the warmth just a little bit in small ways, as Oli suggested. All in all, nice work. - Aaron
Well if that works for u, then wat can i say? Advice can be accepted or rejected. I like people to find success tho, and thats alot more possible with less avoidable obstacles. That name WILL become an obstacle, my friend. Good luck.
My 1st thought was that youre from Houston, and ur name is Flip713....cmon bruh u know u cant use that name, especially if ur from the purple city. Lil Flip is still active these days, and has been for 20 years or more, so Id avoid the legal headache that is in ur future if u ever want monetization. Sorry man, but the best advice is direct advice.
That being said, theres a hispanic vibe and flavor, for sure, Is that your heritage? If so, thats awesome, esp to be in the same area with legends like SPM and Aztek. Houston Rap was a massive influence on me back in my DJing days, epscially DJ Screw. And this did kinda remind me of the sound that the early Htown stuff, like lil Troy and Scarface had. Well done overall.
track = 8.2/10 name = 1 lawsuit in the making outta ten lol
Hello there. My friend Aaron aka Valvedriver is mf awesome, and he knows his stuff when it comes to guitar. His advice is invaluable. Youve got some skill. Im currently looking for some guitar riffs and/or pieces for my current project, If youd be down to collaborate on it, shot me an email. Many of us in the community here have a discord server we use for collabs n such, youre welcome to join there, as well. Id like to hear from u.
The tracks solid overall, The pace is slower than i expected, but i have no idea why i expected it lol. As VT mentioned, the only real issue is the quieter vocals in places, but that can fixed before release. Other than that, youre good to go. good luck to u :)
I did try making the pace faster to give it that something-you-can-dance-to vibe but I'm in conflict in letting the elements breathe vs. making the listener bop his head haha but both of your inputs are noted. Thanks!
Im finally out of the dungeon for a bit, ive been working on so many things. Taking a breather and catching up now. of course this was going to be a natural thing. Im surprised u 2 havent done this before. Im a little biased since youre 2 of my favorite people, but i dont have to be here. you both did wonderful man. bravo. - Aaron
hi Aaron thanks for checking it, it was about time for me and Rita to do a track together, Lu was supposed to join us on it too, but he must have other things going on as he never got back which is fine, so we went ahead and it turned out nice anyway:))
Man, Howd I miss this? A sign of excellent production work is the crystal clear sound that is on display here. Not everyone hits that pinnacle, I strive for it in all my works but dont always achieve it. Im sure i could hear a pin dropping in the background if were there, amongst everything else. Only sonic Mastery allows that, Hats off to you all. The melody will likely be stuck in my head, as well. Beautiful work. - Aaron
Hello, my friend. I joined LM back in 2019, which seems like 100 years ago. But I didn't realize the amount of real talent here for quite awhile. Even then, it never occurred to me that I'd find works like yours here, for whatever reason. But I'm sure as hell glad I did. Among the heaps of praise I pile on, I realized that I haven't mentioned this - u always achieve as clean a sonic mix as it gets, one of the things I take pride in myself. It's an underrated feature, I'll tell u that. Because it's not a walk in the park to achieve that sometimes. The little things definitely do not go unnoticed by me. Like everything I've heard from u, this is mf superb dude. I'm glad I came across your work, you've inspired me to take that step and make my current project happen. I promise it wouldn't have otherwise. So my thanks really means something here. I'm still waiting to collaborate with u in some way before I'll consider the project truly completed, it wouldn't seem right otherwise.
Aaron, how ya doin?
I'm glad I could inspire you. It's always good to know that what you do makes others want to do bigger and better. For that, I thank you.
It took a lot of bad tracks to get to these good ones, as I'm sure you know. When I joined in 2012 I had some real ugly ones. But it was because the crowd back then were full of people who weren't afraid to leave constructive criticism. I'd say about 80% of what I know now, is because of those back then. I learned so much. I wish more members still did that. I mention it because, to me, that in itself is a great form of inspiration.
As far as collaborating on M. Squadd, get ahold of me over on Discord. Let me know exactly what you're looking for. We can discuss it over there.
Until then, take care.
Aaron.
This has that classic sound that all tracks in this genre need to have, but I can also hear nuances here and there that are your own fingerprints. I am a fan of music, and of the awesome and talented people who make it alongside me. I also had my own adventures in the club and rave scene, and this brought those memories back beautifully. Well done.
Don't let the time it took u on this discourage u, sometimes our best ideas take awhile to cook, sometimes it's done in the blink of an eye. Stay the course, man. I wish u the best.
This reminds me of a milder Bullet for my Valentine song, Bring me the Horizon, and to a lesser degree, Asking Alexandria. Im trying to discern whether youre a singer or a musician involved in the instrumental....because Im in the midst of a project that involves...some elements that this track has, I cant really explain here, but i could shoot u an email? I dont think itd interfere with your main project etc. But im getting ahead of myself. Im mainly known for my trap instrumentals, but this project is something else entirely. if u go to my profile and listen to the track "Dazed & Abused", well thats a finished track for the project, for my group The Monzderr Squadd. Ive got 3 vocalists, but one of them is MIA, so Im looking for some vocals on the remaining tracks. but again, I could send u email with more details, if thats cool. cant hurt. - PNNYWZE
Hello, my friend, this song is just as well done as the others Ive heard, with the same distinctive voice. I respect everyone who creates music - music's purpose is to move others, make them feel something that we, as the authors, might feel, and so, even if just for a few moments, brings us all closer together. kowing that, one can see how that might go a long way toward healing the world of some of its suffering. I have suffered my share, and I struggle everyday with a leg injury that has altered the course of my life, and sometimes its hard to maintain faith. But the Big Guy Above always sends something my way to comfort me when I need it most. Your last song was exactly that for me, so Im now thanking u properlyanyway, i sent u an email. Please keep ur music and its message coming, its important that we have folks like u among us. Thank u for sharing. - Aaron
Thank you so much for your heartfelt message and for taking the time to listen to "The Light of My Soul." Your kind words truly mean a lot to me. Its always a humbling experience to know that the music resonates with others on a deep level, and Im grateful to hear that it has brought you comfort.
I am sorry to hear about your struggles with your leg injury. Its inspiring to see how your faith remains strong through it all. I believe music can indeed help us feel closer to one another and, more importantly, to the One who guides us through lifes challenges. Ill continue to do my best to keep sharing messages of hope and faith through my music.
I received your email and will respond shortly. Thank you again for your encouragement and supportit truly helps keep me going
I know Ive mentioned the Discord, Itd be a benefit to u. Anyway, about this track - Firstly, This reminds alot of the stuff I was hearing around 2011-2013, when it all had a much better melodic and sometimes ethereal quality, even dark at times. And dark is food for my soul. also, the bell. (or possibly vibraphone?) I fcking love bells, and this melody wouldnt have been the same without it. Its good work, man. I think our styles would blend well. Im down for that collab while i have some downtime, just get at me. - Aaron
All right, man, I see u. U have a good voice, much better than I have, I must admit. And u can tell youre having fun, which is an important aspect of creating music that some seem to forget over time. Nice work, man. I hope Your enthusiasm always stays strong enough to match your talent.
Yes, I had a lot of fun with that, which is probably why it was finished so unusually quickly... Thanks for listening and for the kind words.
Cheers,
Micky
The way music brings souls together in new and unexpected ways is a beautiful thing, and our Discord has proven to be a great thing and then some. I think that once more people get used to the interface and how it works, it'll be even better. I also Want to take a min to praise Cyber's growth, he continues to get better and is comfortable with more elements due to his experimentation. And you're becoming a master and passing your techniques on to others. I'm glad to be a part of it, in my own way. I hope to see even more works of art like this. Good Freakin work, my friends.
Btw, I'm sorry for being late to the party guys, I've had a lot on my plate over the last week. But some new stuff from The Monzder Squadd is in the works, as well. Let's get it, my friends. - Aaron
Aaron i just put a message up on structure your idea was a good call for the commercial tracks share posts,
and yeah Robin came back a different artist from the one that took a break, he stretches himself, is drum tracks are becoming increasingly more powerful and like me he is not afraid to experiment, he's a great lad to work with too, the old Scotch get, yeah thats a great name for a bottle too, that one was Cybers, im not claiming it, Robin.
your never late to the party bro, you will always get there eventually, i do my post in blocks so i might be late on a few but i usually listen to it a couple times before commenting especially close mates because their stuff means a lot to me too, i want it to be the best it can. Discord collabs are thriving Me Rita and Lu are on one, lol, and Oli has a vocal off me he starting next month, its the place to be for collabs
That's the crunch I covet man. Jeez I could go crazy with some of the elements In this, especially with the project I've been focusing on. This is so dope man.
Thanks, man. I'm glad you like it. Now that I've finished this, I can focus more on building a few riffs and whatnots for you to use in your projects. I was, as the cool kids these days say, hyper-focused on this bad-boy for a few weeks.
I just wanted to say that if you're not very familiar with game music, than you're a natural at it, because this piece really could fit in a multitude of games. It's really good.
I've used zenbeats, it's not bad. It's old school synth sounds definitely suit u. If ur still thinking about that video game music, this would be a perfect piece to showcase, dude. It's good, you're definitely ready. - Aaron
Hello Aaron.
As a non professional I have purchased the less capable versions of Cubase, like Cubase studio and Cubase Elements. I met Roland cloud and I wanted to check this out. Zenbeats I would say is not inferior to the above DAWs. Making music is very interesting and sometimes it gets to be difficult, it is fascinating and can be introspective. The right of it are welcomed and amusing. I really am jealous of those composers who master so well their music and are able to create various atmospheres like sadness, happiness, agony, fear, hope, rashness, laziness, you name it. Actually I admire their capabilities.
About games music I know nada. I have watched my son playing, and that was some years ago. He grew up. I do remember though that each game was a whole story. With various scenes like in the movies. I remember the music was sophisticated enough to put the player into the role the scenario predicted for him.
Thank you so much for your kind approach
Best wishes, Anthony
And Ambient Indie it is lol. Man the whole team seems to be on fire lately. I think this is leagues ahead of what I last heard from u. I feel like I'm at a show like Farm-Aid or something lol. Thanks for taking me there bro. Lovely work. - Aaron
hey brother, how in the FK did i miss this? I was always thrilled whenever u desired to use my work for your poetry. I think, just as a thank u, That Ill take your vocals and do a little tweaking and throw them back on for u. Its the least I can do, my friend.
Man, I was late to this one. I always enjoy what you share man, it has this human element, garage-band like elements that are endearing. I wish I had better words for it, your work is comfortable, like a blanket. Thanks for sharing! - Aaron
