This a great tune with tons of potential. I agree with Wayne, check out the volumes – the distorted chorus is not working for me. With lower levels you can use the dynamics in your voice even better.
Keep on keeping on, bro!
This is cool, i like the chord progression and I realise this is a first cut. When you orchestrate it further you will lift this one off the ground. I find it very promising.
/pmk
Yeah, I like this. Very much. You've got a good voice, the song's got a great melody and nice progression. Have you made a fully orchestrated version too? It's a fav.
/pmk
Hi! Thank you very much for the feedback!!! ((:
I've been working on it for completion actually...the final version is going to have an overall more accurate sound and a more complete orchestration...I hope to release it very soon....I need some label to like my music and I'm going to work hard for it...!!! ((;
Hey Vicen, yet another great track. The production is excellent, your voice work great together with Allens guitar. And that flute is a really nice touch. Actually it's an all time high!
/pmk
Thank you very much mate. In truth I was shocked when I heard the shot that Allen sent me with his guitar playing on my song. It was the nicest thing happened to me writing this song.
I've smell the sweat from my shirt and I feel the hot desert breeze in my face as I light up my thin cigar – let the bull come...
You are a master in making the scenes, there should be a Wayne category. Splendid, my friend.
/pmk
Love the harmonies – you've got a nice voice and this collaboration is really great, the chorus blows me away. (Somehow this reminds of Kate Bush and Tori Amos at the same time, two artist I have the deepest respect for.) It's a fav and a dl. I can only say: fantastiskt!
Hey!
I like this track, you have a good voice.
That's the reason why I think you could let your voice get more in front. In the beginning the vocals drowns in the guitar, towards the end it sounds a bit distorted.
When I record I set the gain when I sing the loudest to avoid that kind of distortion and then use compression in the mix to even out the dynamics (if needed).
This might seem as a lot of critique, it really isn't. This track is a really good performance and I think you have an excellent voics.
Peace
/pmk
Update: the more knobs and slides, the merrier. I usually concentrate on the gain setting, the compression and very litte equalization (I almost always overdo it so it sounds like crap... oh, that's my crappy voice. hehe)
hehe thanks.
I just recorded it for reference. It clips bad towards the end even though I was about 20 inches from the mic lol. My mic cant handle my early morning phlegmy awesomeness. Thanks for the tips. I'm hoping to track this one for real soon and I was wondering about levels. I've got more knobs and sliders than I know what to do with. :(
I'm still working out the kinks. I wanna do some harmonies and then sit down and tinker with the rest. I've barely got the hang up "Arm", "Record" lol
Thanks for stopping by and listening/reviewing this tune of mine. I appreciate the kind words. Sorry that I haven't made any songs since April, but I just had too much overtime at work....usually working a month straight before having any days off.
Now things have slowed way down and I am also going to retire at the end of this year. So I'll have more time for music.
I am putting together a classic type rock tune that you'll probably enjoy. Won't be ready till next month probably.
I think that this is one of the best tracks I've heard in a while. It's a great song and love it.
I think it would be a bit better if you checked the volumes on the vocals, I think it is a bit to uneven (a bit compression might take care of that).
Having said that, this is absolutely and definately a dl and fav!
/pmk
This is a really amazing track, love the way you work through the tune. If I would have to label it, I'd go for fusion or progressive. Just because the ideas reminds me of the progressive rock way back when. Almost expecting Eddie Jobsons violin to break in.
/pmk
I'm glad you enjoyed it. The first version of this song lasted 6 minutes. I had qualms with the chorus too ... But this weekend could see the light and leave it as it is now. I'm glad I did.
I deeply appreciate your words.
PD.: I was about to send it to you, because there was a time that was a bit "naked" in the first stanza and did not know how to fix it.
I write this as the music plays. I've heard a minute so far. I'm going to download and fav.
I hear influenses of the progressive rock band era (oddly enough a german band called Eloy comes to mind), wonderful sounding synths.
You have a rare quality in your work and I am full of admiration. A truly wonderful piece, even more so than expected. And that is actually saying quite a lot.
/pmk
Ps check out the album Silent Cries and mighty echoes, you'll find it on spotify. In spite of their heavy german accent it's a really good album.
You've created a perfectly beutiful song out of few chords. It's a wonderful production with really nice lyrics and meloy. I really like this a lot.

Wow, a masterpiece that brings me back to the theme songs of seventies crime shows like Baretta and Kojak... and I totally love it. Very, very nice. Wonderful tone and excellent musicianship.
I'll need to listen again.

Hi Kikajon, I'm pleased you like the track, I love those funky cop themes also. Maybe that's where the inspiration is coming from, way back when I was a small boy watching The Streets of San Francisco, Kojak, Starsky & Hutch etc.. Now I look like bloody Kojak lol..
Cheers, Slap...
Nice work, great piano. Think the strings are a bit too up front, would love the kick hit bit lounder though. (I've listened on my laptop so it might been lost in my poor speakers).
Take care

I still have it. Try to create a broad amalgam of music, in music that I like to me and putting a bit of my style.
Thank you for having heard it. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
