Hey, this a future Kikajon classic to my ears! Very cool walking beat feel, and that telecaster sounds very sweet! I've always wanted to jam with one of those, but then I think about the effect it had on my first three piece band back around 1994... I still have the epiphone les paul that my friend smashed so his parents would buy him a tele, ha ha! Always liked the sound we had before that better. I guess I got a free damaged guitar out of the deal. The Tele's do have a killer pop-rock sound to them though. Impressive that the vocals were improvised. I always find that hard to do, especially without a bunch of chopping and editing later. Totally cool track! Fave!
Hey Spiv! It's kind of fun how a guitar can change the way you play. I would never have made this song on my stratocaster. I've never used a les paul, I were more into explorer or the flying v.

Hey Kika, great rockin tune man!..You wouldn't be the recently reincarnated soul of Herman Brood by any chance? haha....apart from an excellent downbeat and solid rock guitar with a great live feel,I love it that your singing in your native tongue!!..all too often European musicians feel compelled to adapt to English to get wider appeal or fit into the Western world's ingrained music industry template...sounds awesome mate keep it going man,big thumbs up!..cheers Dave :)
Thanks pjb! I can't imagine how swedish sounds for you – but it's som much simpler for me to ad-lib in swedish. Still the words come out making no sense - but I kind of like it doing it this way. Again, thank you for listening and commenting – much appreciated. /pmk
Nice to see you back around Brosef. This has a Lou Reed vibe for me. At least music wise. Vocally I wish they were louder in the mix. Dig the Guitar lead at the end alot.
Nice job. I would flesh out the vocals and boost them in the mix.
Thanks for the feedback, I tend to mix the vocals low, probably a confidence issue. Anyway, I'm glad you took your time listening and I will try to punch up the vocals. Again, thank you.
i may not know the language but i do understand great rock n roll when i hear it....ive been waiting for you to record again..and im never disappointed...clean, crisp, spot on...cheers!
Thank you, Joe. It was a fun thing to do a saturday evening. And the vocals hardly makes sense to a swede either – even I don't understand the lyrics but that's improvisation for you. Take care.

Hey man, good to see ya! This mix is sounding pretty clear and punchy, nice job! Nice easy tempo to rock out to, can't stop my foot from tapping. Great guitar tracks, well played and the tone is nice and thick, gotta love those Fender Tele's! Reminds me a bit of Lou Reed.
I just did an update on garageband and played with it for a few minutes. There are some nice sounds in there, loved the stand up bass plugin they have.
Aw, thanks Wayne. It was nice to get inspired. Got a few tunes in my head and somehow they might just pop out some days soon. Just to keep your feet tappin'. Cheers.

Thank you. The song was recorded in my bedroom, on my laptop using only Garageband, a Yamaha soundcard, my Telecaster and my Iphone handsfree as a microphone. Final touch in Adobe Audition. It's fun to be sort of minimalistic.
Hey Kikajon, man I really enjoyed your track bro.
Reminds me a lot of Dire Straits or Mark Knophler.
Very cool slide too, that was a bit of a surprise. Your vocals are quite distinct and despite my lack of understanding Swedish I thought you did a great job. Drums and bass are really strong in here too.
I like your style man, I will be checking out some more of your material soon.
Thanks mate for the kind words. I was a couple of months since I recorded anything but hopefully it will happen again soon. Again, thank you for listening and commenting.
Oh yeah, this is groovy! I was happy to see one of your tracks show up on the thread I started! We share initials as well as a love for music. Very pleasing sound to this song, and the sax is a really nice addition to this sort of style. Can't believe I never heard this one. Hope some time you can return to the loop to hang out with us! Fave!
Good tune. Vocals could be a bit louder, especially on the chorus. Look into the vst called GGate or Izotope 5, they'll help your voice become a bit more crisp. Overall a good production. -Peace
Hey PM, how it going? Great track, like the sound of the guitars. I think another mix could allow the vocals to come out a little more. Sounds like the rhythm guitars might be a bit too loud, just my opinion.
Have you ever tried Logic Pro? I bought it when I got my imac. Huge step above Garageband and it's relatively inexpensive and not too hard to figure out. I am not using it as my main daw but I will use some of the great synths and sounds and export tracks into Ableton.
Thanks for the feedback, Wayne. I've not gotten around to buy the Logic Pro X yet … but I have used the older version of Logic quite a bit. Loved it then so I guess I'll love it now. Once you get to know GB inside out it's a really powerful app, at least the older version.
Take care

The songwriting is solid. Recording has some unneeded static and fuzz, possibly from the guitar, and things are not as clear as they should be, but it was a solid song. Vocals sound best when they are not straining, in the verse parts. Good song, keep it up!
Thanks for listening and för your feedback. Still trying to learn how to use the new version of GB. noise gating guitar is hard to find. Thank you for taking the time and reviewing.

Nice to hear a track from you again my friend. Been a long time. This has a nice old school 70's vibe to it. Nice guitar tone and production. Nice job.
Thank you. I've been busy making music but I've used other forums – there seems to be a compability problem when using Macs. Anyway, it's great to be beck here, recieving kind words like yours makes it even better. Thanks for listening an reviewing, much appreciated.

Hey Par-Magnus! Well it's been a while since I've seen you here, good to see you my friend, hope you are well!
Great song, it has a great solid rock vibe. Love the guitar hook, very catchy. Always good to hear your music, especially that guitar tone. Nice mix, sounds good!
Thanks, I'm fine. I've been working, sailing, skiing and frustrated over the fact that the looperman site isn't totally compatible with my computer – hence the absence. Again, thank you for dropping by, listening and sharing your thoughts – I'm much obliged. /pmk
Kikajon, let me introduce myself as you are one of the biggest age here...:-) My name is Attila (Danke) from Hungary. I'm on the site till 2 years and this is fun...because I could (can) meet people like you, whose music is so close to me...this song is great...that main riff is outstanding...the groovy you took into the song is headbanging...feelgood one...love it...thanx for sharing with us...regards, Danke
Thank you, and nice to make your acquaintance. I truly appreciate you taking the time, listening and sharing your thoughts. Again, thanks for the very nice review.

Thanks for the nice comment Vicen. When I had recorded the first take I thought it should be a TAE song, but I listened to it, changed my mind and made up some harmonies and lyrics. And I'm actually quite happy how it turned out.
/pmk
Thank you. I cannot imagine how odd swedish sounds to you but the sound of a telecaster is breaks all language barriers, doesn't it? Thanks again for listening and reviewing.

The environment and the sound you've created here, reminds me of my very young years (65/70) .... with The Kinks, The Birds, The Troyes .... etc ....
Very good moment to remember, thanks to you. Merci!
