Hi Kerry. Wonderful piece, indeed a sad song.
Sounds like you have to be careful with the gain settings when you record (on the "gooo away"), the sound begins to distort. But as I said it's a good song and the voice is nice.

Raw and nice. And even if I sometimes feel you're slightly off the beat with the guitar, I really dig the musical ideas and the intro is rippin. Heavy.

Man, I love the way you sing the chorus, the harmonies are spot on. If anything, think you could lower the volume on distorted guitar just a notch. Having said that Ã¢â‚¬â€œ Great work.

Yes, the bass is beautiful, and as I answered to SPD2, you can read the name of threee real famous bassists in the 70 and 80's, I love much, for they technics and theyre melodies at the bass.

Although I did'nt consciously write this with him in mind - this reminds me of Al DI Meola too! The reasons are probably because I used my Les Paul to record it and for the hook I used a hungarian scale (which he uses extensively) to imply that eastern sound. Glad you liked it.

Seriously, I like this. A lot. You've got a great voice. If i could make a suggestion it would be adding compression to your voice, to keep vocals more even but with power.

I've actually been adding more songs from said album but since I can only upload a few at a time, it's slow going. I also re-recorded a lot of them before I finished it.

As for the compressor, I use one whereever possible but depending on what I have my microphone volume set at, it can cause a really annoying 'hiss' throughout the entire song. I have a decent mic and can use it on most tracks but since I have the mic volume as high as it can go without picking up the hissing, adding a compressor only caused problems with this track. But maybe I can find a way around it.

Woa, instant fav!
I liked the drums very much up to 1:35, I'd like a better flow in the chorus (?). And the guitar sometimes sounds a little dull Ã¢â‚¬â€œ like old strings. A bit more sparkle would do the trick.
It sounds a like a bunch of negative critique, it isn't. The track is beautiful and well composed.
