wow ur pretty good at making FL Slayer sound good...nice and djenty, a little too much distortion maybe, that or the levels need some slight adjusting. I love how the intro (and outro) is hip hop like, and the BAM, Avant Garde Metal!
cool voice panning fx, nice mellow track to listen to, love the reverbed guitar. unless you're doing it for a noise effect, which I'm assuming cuz it got all Daydream Nation at the end, I wouldn't have the bass distorted.
thx dude im glad you dug it,dude you know your sonic youth..that distorted bass is actually my acoustic guitar haha.hey i heard that free download thats some sick stuff man.maybe you should send it to ipecac..who knows he might take under his wing!!
Ha you should have told me about this! Love the heavy use of reverb. Really creepy song you put together here, digging the ambient/drone aspects. I like the part @ 1:54 when the tribal drums come in. What program do you use, we should collaborate some time.
Kevin
P.S. I recommend changing the genre to something else, I've noticed I get less listens when I used weird and fusion genres.
awesome fx on that piano, did you make it yourself or sample it? Sounds like this could be used for an epic video game or a movie. Reminds me of cold winter day, well up north at least...
Scary? sounds kinda upbeat to me... Digging the industrial aspects here, I like the whole "textures in sounds" sorta thing you get from the genre. Very creative piece of music you have here.
Yeah, I thought it was a little upbeat too, glad you agree! "Textures in sounds"... I like the sound of that! Thanks so much for listening and reviewing!
ha fruityloops! love how you layered that beat over the bongos. a cool thing you could do is pan the bongos left and right, and maybe have more variations of that background beat(?)
Nice, this isn't exactly my thing when it comes to music, but I dig it. Its mario samples or something, whatever that is you sampled, it sounds badass.
Thanks, at that time I really ran out of ideas like i barely knew what i was doing i just lost the feeling to it so yeah. Thanks for telling me you like how its "all over the place" I'll go make something similar now.
grunge feel eh...this is noise rock buddy. you're style reminds me so much of the vocalist of the old band I was in, called Nova Crime. lol look em up on myspace if you want. I love the whole shoegaze thing you got going on here, and the alienating vocal fx are awesome.
well im relieved you didnt hate it...wait you didnt right?jajaja im still gonna try to get some parts better.thx for letting do this man i appreciate it......peace.
Nice soundscapes you've created here, definitely hearing more of the sonic youth inflence here, reminds me a bit of animal collective too. I love the vocal fx, real unconventional, I dig it.
love that trebley glitchy beat, did you use a squeeze filter on it? This actually reminds me a lot of the residents! Definitely something you don't hear everyday!
Thanks for stopping by! No, that glitchy beat didn't use a squeeze filter. All drum sounds were individually programmed on my microkorg and used raw. I haven't heard much of the residents, maybe I'll have to look them up! Thank you for your kind comments and the fave!
Hey thanks man.. I appreciate the listen and great review. I will be sure to let my buddy know as well!!! He will be pleased and keep a look out for hime soon. He might be joining us...
Sounded like you sorta did a Drum n' Bass IDM fusion here, that is until the glitch and noise elements came about. I'm a noise freak, so I'm definitely faving this!
Hmm Autechre... now that you mention it, there's certainly an influence here... maybe not directly, but stood as a state beyond consciousness while making the track. Actually, it started as a test of some vsts, but in the end I really liked where it was going, so decided to finish it and post it to get some reactions.
Seems like a positive experience!
Thanks again for taking the time to listen and review Kevin!
Wow, first of, I'd like to say I love the atmosphere thats going on in this track, I love the percussion, this has a latin feel, yet also a western feel to it. This is an amazing track, sounds like it could be used for a movie! Thanks for uploading this, I'm definitely faving this one.
this is sick dude! Makes me want to try this for myself. love all the fx you did with the vocals, and of course halfway through the track when it goes into the jungle breakdown.
Nice!!! You should definitely try that... I would like to hear what you create... If you do, def hit me up or drop me a link... I appreciate you havin a listen man... Glad you liked it!!!
