Thanks a lot Kyle,
for your friendly words about this little tune.Good to know that you liked it.
And also thanks for the "ideas" to fill it a bit up. I will do a test to hear how it works (for me)
Hey its been a while.. there's alot going on, plenty variation, nice drums but I'd say add a harder deeper kick also I really liked the second half it sounded like a new song starting you should try a new version starting from 3 min
not listened to edm for a while when i seen the EDM tag i assumed it would be an overly epic generic tune but its not its really good unique and love the deep pumping bass and drums good work
Yeah, I know what you mean. I wish we could add more than one tag. I wasn't sure how this would be categorized and I felt like EDM was the most inclusive. Thank you for your feedback.
I had written a nice lengthy response to your post, but something went “wrong” and it didn’t post. Lost the whole thing.
So, here is another go at it. I’ve got tinnitus, probably from spending too many years in front of loud guitar amps, a long time ago. Anyway, that apparently means that I probably have hearing loss for high frequencies. Consequently, I probably tend to set those parts a bit higher in the mix than I should. I think things are in balance, but they really aren’t. Anybody with normal hearing would hear the track as being out of balance. That’s not an excuse for how this track sounds, but it might be the explanation.
I actually had NO bass part on this track at all, but added a couple of layered bass tracks to the project pretty much at the last minute. I really never found bass sounds that I thought worked perfectly. The track got buddy real quick, even with compression. I ended up EQing the bass parts a lot to keep them focused and to keep the mix as clean as possible. But, it still was muddier than I had wanted. Clearly, I need to spend more time finding the right bass sounds.
Thanks again for the feedback. I really do appreciate it.
good production quality but i dont like the synth that comes in at 1:16 should have been some pure sub bass or something not as high pitched just my opinion but good track
good main synth i like the phase something you dont hear often i think the song sounds like old tranc bt also sounds up to date a few synths seem very high pitched could try lower sounds but overall good selection of sounds :)
i dont really listen to this kind of music much so im struggling to give feedback its nice gentle sounding piano i like the beat but think the kick could use more oomf and think you shoud drop the reverb or delay on the vocals but thats just imo
I like the melody the beat and bass has a really good sound but I think you should down octave and get a lower tone for the high synth that starts at 0:17 :) good tune
I agree! I was running short on time with this one and decided to go ahead and throw it up on here anyways :P I may very well end up adding more to the end, or even changing it completely.
I like the horror feel and that sound at 1:00 is really nice.. You should have just kept this as a sound design and not add the music in near the end I didn't think it fit but it's still a good production just think it could be its own creation :)
