Well, the good news is I think it all sounds pretty good; one point you can work a bit more is that it's of course a bit repetitive, but that might be your intention if you want it to be used as a beat for rapping, so that might be fine.
Have you thought about taking a rap from the acapella section and see if you can make that work? That would be really interesting I think!

It's interesting. The other one is slower; I think the slightly faster tempo works better for me. I also like the unprocessed vocals better; but the key you used in the newer version is a bit closer to the key of the vocal (although neither fit).
All in all I still think the original is more compelling.

Lovely psychedelic track. So much to hear and so much going on, great stuff Robert!! Those keys at 1:17 are straight out of a Jazz festival. Brilliant.

Oh and Qwerty... I had a colleague named "Bert" who had an interesting way of typing his name by running his finger along the top row of the keyboard. I saw him do this and he joked that if he would have a son, he would call him Qwerty, for that reason. He would be crazy enough to do it too, so yeah, maybe it's a name by now ;)

Gave it another listen:
- love the guitar and clap
- the vocal untl 0:36 is partially offbeat and that's perfect and very cool
- then in 0:37 I first felt it went into a different tempo but I think you skipped or inserted a beat
- then at 0:44 there's a sudden change, especially in loudness, but here it really goes into a lower tempo
- the change at 1:24 I liked, and again back to the original tempo/rhythm
- Then at 2:00 and 2:07 something similar happens as above which I don't fully understand with my tiny brain.

I suspect all of this might be fine, but it would help me if the transitions are either more gradual, or possibly "announced" in advance, so I understand what's going on.

Or not, and that's also fine, I'm just trying to explain what I heard and meant :) Oh and btw lovely clear production!

Good track if a bit much vocal processing for my taste (no doubt in the acapella) ;) but that's the cool thing about Looperman; we all have a different taste and style and your is undoubtably more 2023.

Not bad for 15 min! Of course most of it is repetition and after a minute I'd had enough; so maybe you can invest a couple hours and make something more interesting that will keep people's attention long?

I'm sorry if my comment was harsh! I'm also sorry it was the first comment you received; but I see to some extent you've been doing similar things in your older tracks.

Here's a bit of explanation and hopefully that'll help you more.

When we make music, whether it's in a DAW, or jamming with friends, or singing together, or just clapping a rhythm, it's important you all more or less sing the same song. A song has a melody, and the melody then fits a certain "key", meaning all the notes more or less go together. You can change key within a song, but that's something we hear, and if for instance you sing one key but your friend sings a different key, that sounds chaotic and generally unpleasant to human ears.

The same goes for the BPM, the "beats per minute", say the speed of the song. If I clap once every second, and you clap twice every second, that goes together well. But if I clap every 1.1 seconds and you every .9 seconds or just at random, again it sounds like chaos.

These are the things you have to keep in mind when you're playing an instrument, but also when combining loops or samples like you do. That's a learning process, and it makes sense you don't get that right the first time, but if that's something that's hard for you, then try to find a friend, a family member, a teacher, somebody who can show you how to fit things together. Or look on youtube! There are boatloads of good videos.

Here on the site, often you will see the "BPM" indicated (eg 118), and for most vocals and loops people indicate a "key" (eg C major or A minor). It's unfortunately not always correct, but try to stick with all loops the same key and BPM, and then in your DAW (I use Ableton but there are loads, some of them even free or low cost) you need to make sure the same BPM is set, which should make it easier to move them around. Use all samples with the same BPM and key, and you'll have a better start.
