n0mad, I beginning to notice that Slap's so called 10 minute is definitely the therapy everyone 'round here needed I think, it definitely pushed me to work more out of the box and trust one's first extinct's..ie does that sound right?no wait a sec..let me change it, but hmmmm...maybe it was actually better the original way..lol..when the second melody came in around 5:00 or so, everything came together, great mixing as always and loop selection too...The Journey of Unexpected Outcomes perhaps...or in other words, overproducing a track will not overcome a lack of the special ingredients in the foundation of a truly unique creation...need to listen to this a few more times maestro, because i love it!! and faving it!!
thanks for sharing your artistry man!

victormusic01x...in the nyC...beginning to think that finding this site and the great creators/artists on it was just what the doctor ordered!

Victor! I wish the medium was more conducive to communication as there are things I'd love to talk to you about. Funny that we're so late to discovering this site and how there's an obvious artistic/philosophical affinity we share. Ya Man, Doctor Slap's Sonic Colonic was just what was needed. It was YOUR attempt that convinced me to give this a whirl last night, so thanks to you for that! The honor of sharing artistry is all mine - thanks to you and all for the encouragement. It means more than you can imagine!

loving the clean mix on your track, i wanted it to go on more too!!I'm really new to trance and some of the other genres and it helps me to hear people's tracks where they are hittin' the style hard, great for using no loops....great absorbing track!

on Polyglot Pidgin by n0mad23
Right now, I'm listening to this and wanting to hear a Carlos Santana like guitar ripping over this, but at the sametime could hear an even more dubbed out mix with a Robbie Shakepeare like supa bass line, minimal, and maybe coming in on a downbeat here and there, then again I'm a big fan of reggae in general and Bill Laswell;/Material..maybe finish this in a few different ways and then remix it using elements of all the diferent mix options in some kind of way...I really dug Traffic years ago when they had Rebop Baah on percussion...wow, after sayong that, I can even hear Steve Winwood's voice over this too...loving this draft n0mad23!!
thanks for sharing your artistry with me and everyone on the site!

Thanks! I've been feeling a bit discouraged by this one - I keep going back to it and really think I've hit the limitation wall of my freeware approach. It's a review like this that really makes me wonder if I should take the next step and get some software/equipment that will allow me to edit my stuff. I love the live-one shot recording approach, but it really can only go so far. Llloopp, Argo, iamthepcjungulator, and TrackAxPC are sweet low end tools and they've pushed me into evaluation mode. Is this really the direction musically I want to explore? I'm not sure I would have even experimented like this if I had a network of like minded musicians nearby.

It's actually running at 126, but we wanted to get a real funk groove to the perc and bass, so with some carful sequencing, i think we kinda got there.
