yes, mr RoBB, definitely an interesting surprise there when the other section comes in and it seems to work well on initial listening...like the open harmonies and that one really dissonant chord you hit somewhere before the midpoint transition...will have to check out ur other work also...nice studied vibes!!

man, when I think about when my best friend got the first IBM PC and we were using like one of the very,very first sequencing programs available to working now at home with a digital work station/recording studio in your computer it just blows me away..I like how you took my loop and like a great composer, did your own unique theme and variations through decontruction! I need to listen to this a few more times when I'm more coherent..lol, just kidding but not joking at the same time !!

On 5 1/2 inch floppies, no less! My friend had a Commie that we plugged into a cassette deck for storage and we wrote sound programs in Basic. That machine didn't last long...the early Cassio samplers had no storage capabilities. It's about then we started playing shopping carts and copper tubing in underground sonic experiments. And this track was done entirely on a laptop! I like how your "simple groove 2" and "simple groove 1" work sequentially, and how "ol skool funk drums" work as an accent!

jezza, this is really a nice fusion of great ideas, only suggestion, my opinion...would be to beef up the kick and snare..at times it has a Bill Laswell/Material type of vibe and a little ambient...like this a lot!

this one sounds even more industrial to me man for some inexplicable reason, still in the same general area you've been investigating....I wanted to hear an almost intense slightly funky groove to come in somewhere...because u know I like them commercial flavors from time to time :)....another fave for me, I think you are getting close to an entire album here maybe!

Yup - I've still got all my Throbbing Gristle, Coil, and Psychic TV vinyl. I never play it as my spouse threatens divorce when I pull it out. I agree with your assessment and I'm now exploring Ableton Live Lite 7 to get me out of the limitations of doing this "live" with freeware. I'm thinking that I'll be able to do this 'playing' the computer like an instrument, but be able to do the overdubs and revisions necessary to move it to the next logical level. To this point, all my music here you've listened to has been done with a single mouse. Not bad considering, but too hobbyish or amateurish for what I really want to do. Thanks for your encouragement Victor, it's birth cohorts that inspire me the most!

This is definitely fairy tale like, I like the small dissonant subtle touchs here and there...I might like hearing real strings too, or...how about a mix of real and synthetic instead of changing the sound completely to real...maybe...nice, nice work!!

n0mad, I beginning to notice that Slap's so called 10 minute is definitely the therapy everyone 'round here needed I think, it definitely pushed me to work more out of the box and trust one's first extinct's..ie does that sound right?no wait a sec..let me change it, but hmmmm...maybe it was actually better the original way..lol..when the second melody came in around 5:00 or so, everything came together, great mixing as always and loop selection too...The Journey of Unexpected Outcomes perhaps...or in other words, overproducing a track will not overcome a lack of the special ingredients in the foundation of a truly unique creation...need to listen to this a few more times maestro, because i love it!! and faving it!!
