Certainly a bonkers track! Just keeps changing. A lot of good sounds in there but maybe sometimes too many at the same time? Good effort and I can tell you enjoyed making this.
Well ur right about it being too short. Not really into drum and bass much these days but still have a listen now and again for old time's sake. Liked ur track. Liked the droney delays on the bass. Could be expanded into a dubbed out drum and bass monster!
yea may just work on it more. but unless i finish something off i get bored of it and just move onto something new. may just duck this one and start another track nextime i get some free time!!
thanks for listening though...
Big thumbs up for experimentation and being a bit different. I was'nt sure about the track to start off but as the different elements came in it all worked in a strange way and turned into a nice little groove.
Cheers for the listen and the review. I've been trying to mix the slightly expiermental sounds with ones that are more familiar, and sometimes they work together and sometimes they don't.
Really like ur track. One of the best deep house tracks I've heard on here for a long time. Only criticism is that the little vox sample is a bit overused? Personally I would have dropped it out for sections and/or added some variation to it. Good work tho!
Elotium's right about the low end stuff it gets a bit muddy in places. All in all, not too bad. A bit one dimensional. A bit more variation would be nice. Everyone wants to be Deadmau5 at the minute. It would be nice to push this genre forward with some experimentation.
Yeah i know... EQing and that stuff is not my strength. i've got learn a lot about it... but i listened to it again i think you're right. i also tried to make it better... i think i will upload it soon
Really enjoyed parts of the track and I thought the first 90 seconds or so was really good. I will reserve judgement until the track is complete but it's sounding like it will be good.
Really good poppy/chill track. Very catchy and the vox sound great. Can definitel feel that jazz influence coming through the music. Interested to hear the completed project. Good work.
Not too bad. Like the bass kick. Think it could do with a little variation in the percussion. Does have a summery vibe and I can imagine some Diva singing over the top of this. I think your synth and piano could use a little fx (delays) giving them a bit more depth and a little more dimension. Good effort!
Parts of this track are brilliant. Well done on that bass. My chair is still vibrating. Some parts i felt were a little out of time and I think at some points there may be too much going on. I did'nt think that the vox sits well in the track. Overall a good effort tho!
Yes, there's some parts "out of time". It's some effects I like. But, on the OLD version they was too many and some time a bit disturbing. So I corrected some of them to better groove.
The voice don't sits well all the time. Once again, this is exactly what I want to ear to give that specific atmosphere. Like it was a misunderstood complaint.
Thanks guys, will check out some system 7 later & see what you mean, I vaguely remember the name from the early 90's along with Drum club, Orbital etc
Thanks again Ryan for review
peace as always
It's funny for me to see your connection with Nick because if someone played this blind to me I would have said that he made it. Although he would have thrown a few hoovers at it ;0
Anyway, have'nt seen you for a while. I think maybe the vox is overused? Aside from that the track pumps well.
It's Sven Vath - Barbarella (Irresitable Force mix) You should really check out anything you can find by Irresistable Force (aka Mixmaster Morris). You'll love it. Anyway I could'nt hear your song without imagining all the plinky plonk noises in this mix and I think something similar bouncing around your floaty pads would be great. Good work.
yeah thats the waldorf plonking lol, thanks, ill check them out, havent heard of them, but tehn ive been out of it for a while (musically i mean lol)! cheers
Hi T. There's a good track in there trying to get out. I think your transitions between differnt parts of the track need to be smoother. I think some of the sounds are really good. Learning how to use them together will come with practice. As will the volume each part should be set at.
Nice ark! I'm not really much of a hiphop head and I can see that the music has to make room to accomodate the vox. Personally, I'd like to hear a voxless full on dubbed out version and really let the music go crazy.
thank you ryan! trying somthing a little differnt for me lately, useing full vocals. i like to throw an occasional shout out dj toast into my dubs, but ive never used full accapellas before. always been a bit apprehensive. but by the way this and the fruits mix have turned out i think i might try a few more tracks with vox. but i do love me dub! allways be a dubwizer at heart bro!
be well and Bless!
Ahhhhh! What a refreshing change! Some proper techno. There was a Belgian guy on here called Uflash used to make proper techno tracks like this but I think most of the peeps here did'nt get it. U might like some of his stuff. Anyway, really nice to hear this pumping little number..... takes me back. Good job!
thanks for the review man, must admit I aint heard much proper techno on here as yet but I hope more people get it, thanks dude will check out Uflash & have a listen. Will have a check of your trax over the next few days, peace out :)
I had a look at who listened to ur track and I'd say you have been a little unlucky in that you have so many unknown users and
guests listening rather than proper members. I think members will dig this. The playing is good. A few tweaks here and there on the volume required I think and a some variation in the background too. Good job tho.
