Thanks my man! Pretty much a given though considering the quality of my palette here. We got rei4real and jahknow on guitars, jah on organ, and ultrabase on bass and DJatro (aka loopytunes) on drums (and me, too). Arrangement and dubbification was a blast having a virtual band like this to play with! Cheers.
Well I'm guessing the track name is a reference to Aphex judging by the start of the track. I would say that the piano and woodwind sounding instrument are definitely chill but I would have preferred something less obvious. I'd be interested to hear it if u stripped them out and took it in a different direction. Good effort though!
I like it and agree with the others that the glitchy stuff gives it something a little different. The track is way too short though. You have a good opportunity to build it into something really good!
the main loops have an infectious quality about them and also a nursery rhyme simplicity that sounds great. mot sure about how the vocal sits in te track though. i probably would have preferred it as an instrumental piece,
Nice track TT and as someone else said probably ambient rather than chill out. Only negative comment I have is maybe over use of the wide left and right speakers. I would have preferred a more subtle use of stereo, but hey, that's just me. Good job.
Good work on the track - like the voice and vibe, Production wise tho it needs afair bit of tidying up. Got hissing all the way thru and a few clippy bits. I think with that done the track would be xcllnt.
I listened twice so I could give a more accurate critique. I like parts of the track. I think the transitions should be more gradual and that each section of the track longer. As it is, it sort of jumps abruptly (in ambient terms). I love the heavily compressed slowed down snare sound near the start. I'm not a fan of the artist guiding us as to what the journey should be like. I think with ambient works u should let the listener decide/ imagine what the journey is about. The end part sounds great but is ridiculously short. That mood can be repeated for a long time before it would become boring. Check out Brian Eno Ambient 1.
Generally I like it. The only thing is some of the snyths are very trancey sounding synths and personally i aint keen on trance. Really liked the start and i would love to strip it down and dirty it up more. Good effort.
It's sort of like 2/3 of a boc song in that u have basic structure there but not all the weird noises and vocal snippets. If I were u I would go at it full bore and weird it up a little! Nice so far tho.
