Yup I'm echoing what everyone else has said to you guys. Great work on this one. It my personal favorite from the group to this point. Keep them coming guys!
Wow, thank you, brother! That honestly means a lot coming from you. God bless you for always listening and supporting, and Im so glad it came through. Much love.
Very, very unique! I like the sounds you used in this. I'll be honest I don't know how people get some of the sounds they use but that makes it better for me. It's good being in the dark sometimes. I also really enjoyed the drums on this one! Really cool! So did you go into creating this with the story in mind? That seems like a really neat and cool approach.
Good job like always man! I am always glad to see a new track from you!
Thank you so much, James! Honestly, the music and the story kind of built off each other at the exact same time. As I selected and tuning the sounds and grooves patterns, the narrative for each portal began to form in my mind, and that visual guided the rest of the mix. Really glad you vibed with the sound choices and the bounce, bro!
Cool track man! So I am always open to working with others. I actually have songs on my profile that were specifically intended for that (song starters or just the beginning of something like a minimal song). Check them out and if something interests you or you have any other ideas don't hesitate to reach out to me.
I found this track really interesting. I tried to go lookup the original and I'm not sure I found it but this version is really good. I like what you have going on here!

here is his profile page he only has teh one vocal up but been on here for 17yrs lol thanks for the listen and comment man glad you liked this version :)
I think it is awesome that you are doing this at 16! Happy birthday!
I think adding a beat and possibly a counter melody might enhace the track.
No matter what keep creating and exploring music. It is something you can spend a lifetime doing!
You know when it comes to drums, I have not that slightest clue of what I'm doing. And yes I did realize I didn't have a backing synth/instrument in there, which is very unusual of me, I have other songs and all of them are soft with no drums/beats. So I tend to try to make my songs diverse while kinda minamilazing as much as poossible. So I will edit the song and add a backing synth when I can, but it will be difficult with my schedule and time crunch. I appreciate the feedback!
So I don't know the original song so no comparisons. Two things stood out to me on my first listen. I've quit looking at wave forms when listening to songs. I've found it just distracts me from listening. So you dropped the drums for a pretty good portion and my brain didn't notice or miss them then once they came back I kind of focused on them and really appreciated the fact that they were just right not to much or to little. The outro was really cool as well. I really enjoy your stuff. I think it just fits my personal music taste well. Keep it up! I always enjoy listening to your stuff.
I did get the guitar out and jam with one of your tracks the other day. I just couldn't find a sound that fit your mix well but it was fun playing around with it.
Thank you so much for such a thoughtful comment, man! I love that approach of listening without looking at the waveforms, it lets the music breathe and hit you naturally.
I'm glad the drum drop worked out and didn't leave a void; finding that right balance where they lock back in without overwhelming the mix is always a fun challenge! And it really means a lot to hear that my style fits your taste so well.
That's awesome that you jammed along with the guitar! Don't worry about finding the "perfect" fit for the mix, the fact that you picked up your instrument to play over one of my tracks is honestly the coolest compliment. Keep jamming, brother, and thanks as always for the incredible support!
Hi - Glenn very nice chill track! I wanted to say thanks for sharing that you use YTJams. I looked at jam tracks on YT last night and saw tons of them and think I might try doing something with some of them at some point in the future. It seems like a nice appraoch.
I like the hard guitar in this one. I'll just share my one thought I had while listening. It is around 2:50 where the word fury is used twice. My brain expected a throw on the word fury with a repeating delay on the word. Not sure if that's a good idea or not...
I didn't even know weird was a musical category... now that I know I might end up posting some of my stuff under the category.
I like this track. It is good weird. Kind of reminds me of the 80's which were also a good kind of weird :)
Youtube is a great place to start. Google your question's and if you aren't anti AI get one of them to write you up an intro to mixing document be specific and tell them the tracks you have and style you are going for.
It's cool that your just having fun but you did som pretty cool vocal chops in this. I actually drive a truck called a ranger (it's old too, It was my fathers) here in america. I'm guessing you are refering to range rovers? IDK other countrys seem to get some pretty cool version's of cars though. oh and I"m also a wnkr :)
Thanks man. You don't sound like a wnkr! Vocals I processed with a free plug in I'd forgotten I even had (dblue - glitch). It works pretty well. And no, I refer to Ford Ranger. Chances are you have them maybe, but sometimes they call them different names in different places. Cheers Chris.
Like I told you I used Suno in the past. You might already be doing everything I'll mention.
So when you feed it your music. If you have lyrics I would sing them so that it would know the cadence I wanted them to have.
You could take it one step further and once you have the A.I. song run it through a stem splitter then change it back up or put your playing back on top and use it as a backing track.
I think you can do all of that within suno if you are a paid subscriber. I wasn't a paid user so that's how I took the vocals and put them onto my music. I use mvsep.com for my splitting. I know some DAW's have that built in...
Just thought I'd share what my old process with suno was.
So most of the time when I listen to your music. It just makes me want to get out the guitar and rip some power chords at "11" jamming along with it. I think you could do a different version of this song like a rock/rap hybrid with an acoustic rock drum set and it might sound pretty cool. Don't get me wrong though it's great the way it is! I'm just telling you how it makes me feel.
Man, that is one of the best compliments I could get! Knowing my music makes you want to crank the amp to 11 and rip power chords is absolute fire!
I love that rock/rap hybrid idea, a version with heavy acoustic drums and raw guitars over this energy would sound insane.
Also, good timing! I just re-uploaded the track with a fresh mix and master. I tweaked the multiband compression to tame the 808 low-end so it stops bouncing wildly, and adjusted the drum bus compression and saturation. The drums have way more punch and presence now, and the overall dynamics feel much cleaner.
Give the new version a spin if you get a chance! Thanks a lot for the incredible feedback, brother!
Did I just get to hear Oli's voice?
I would give this a 10 out of 10 on the creativity scale! I think it's awesome you are experimenting and trying new stuff. Keep it up you two!
Busted! The ideas just won't stop coming, so I'm getting them down while I can. Funny thing is, they're still only about 25% of what's in my head! haha Thanks a million for the encouragement. I'm really glad you enjoyed it.
No, no, you did not offend me at all. I just describe how it works for me. I do consider this technology the new synthesizers, or even a major part of the upcoming DAWS or the upgrades of the existing ones...it is a pivot of technology for now and time will tell..
Thank you very much for your kind thoughts though, never offended my friend.
Best regards, Anthony
Cool track like always. I really like the sound you bring in at about 0:50.
I need to get the guitar out and just try playing along with some of your songs sometime.
Thanks man! You definitely should grab that guitar and jam over these dark/melancholic trap always hits different! Let me know if you end up cooking something up!
Bro - first off the old track was worth sharing! Just remember you are your toughest critic! But once again. I'm blown away by this! It is epic! I'm at a loss for words again. Keep it up dude!!!
