Hey Neo every now and then i come to a crossroads where i notice something and i follow it for a while until another crossroads appears here is my crossroad provided by you and this superb track. I checked out Meshuggah too heavy for my baby taste at the moment i find this more palatable but i will now build up to the full undiluted Meshuggah :) Best regards peaceout Robbie.
Hey Neo your guitar playing is amazing i am totally in awe this is truly a boneshaker indeed makes me feel i was 30 years younger i need to listen to more of your work if this is the effect. Best regards and peace out. Robbie.
X man, thanks heaps for your most awesome comment bro. I know I'm so late to respond, sorry. I get so involved with other projects I don't have much time to check in here that often, but I'm very pleased to get the response from you guys. I try to work up a Halloween track each year which are primarily designed for fun. My whole reason for making music is for fun and enjoyment so yeah hopefully you will give a listen to some of my other tracks and like them as well. They are not all as novelty as this one but you might find some you also like.
mindheist this is amazing, the original bladerunner music was epic for me an iconic movie. I will always remember the Belt of orion speech made by Rutger Hauer he played the replicant so well. The music was a critical and essential element of that movie and i am looking forward to seeing the new one. I am sure vangelis would be proud of you this is superb, faved. Best regards.
thank you so much. blade runner was ahead of its time. did you know that Rutger adlibed that speech? he felt it was deeper meaning the what was scripted.
Spiv really thought provoking track i like it a lot agent Smith in the matrix expressed it rather well quote "I'd like to share a revelation that I've had during my time here. It came to me when I tried to classify your species and I realized that you're not actually mammals. Every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with the surrounding environment but you humans do not. You move to an area and you multiply and multiply until every natural resource is consumed and the only way you can survive is to spread to another area. There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern. Do you know what it is? A virus. Human beings are a disease, a cancer of this planet. You're a plague and we are the cure. Cool track Best regards. Robbie.
The connection you have made with the Matrix makes sense to me in a way. If the "virus" theory is indeed the truth, then I must think that it is what became of humans. It seems like this harmful, insidious disregard has become prominent since the time that white man "evolved." Possibly they are a mutation. Possibly they are a product of interspecies mating with aliens. Who knows really? I know that there are still remnants of societies who live in harmony with nature, more like the other animals than they are like "civilised" people. Their lifestyle benefits the ecosystem where they live rather than consuming and poisoning it. I can see the only hope of this sort of lifestyle supporting the entire human population if most of them were wiped out. There are indeed too many of us, no matter how people choose to live. We'll see if it ever happens though. Thank you for listening and leaving your words!
Hey Gotybeats funny you should say that i was thinking yesterday that at 63 my life has disappeared at an alarming rate and that the physical realm does not get any better its a blur all of it. Music gives hope direction and a reason to get on with life. This is a fab track very subtle and sophisticated. Best regards. Robbie.
lol... :) Thanks Robbi... for passing and listening, We really appreciate it....! We carry the youth inside ... and sometimes, when we think that we grow old, there is when we become like the wine, the older the better...! ;) Blessing and Keep on PLAY!!!
Staticnomad I'm glad you pointed me in this direction very inspirational track innovative in its own right. I will now dig out my slide guitar and possibly banjo both of which have been languishing in the darkness, let there be light. Than you my friend . Robbie.
Thanks for following my link and checking this one out. It's right up there with my best ever tracks. I'm not sure which other piece of music it sounds like. An unusual merger of various elements.
"innovative in its own right"
That's my aim with every track but I don't always manage it.
"I will now dig out my slide guitar and possibly banjo"
I can't tell if you're joking. If not, yes, why not dig them out?
Really fantastic almost viking type warror feel to it. I think you have done an exceptional work here the vocals are in a different class faved best regards Robbie
Love the intro and the acoustic vibe also that slide guitar is amazing dirty and very effective thats a first for me never thought of that before slide being a hard instrument to pin down accurately but you have that well handled my friend. The arrangement works very well nice steady drum line too slightly ominous vibe to it which i really dig. You have created a super track here to be proud of faved . Best regards Robbie.
As simple as that initial piano intro sounds, I fiddled about with it for ages, trying to get the velocity and timing of the notes right and so on. Then that lone piano gets joined by another, heavily delayed piano and a cello part. Then the drums arrive and we're into the proper track.
"that slide guitar is amazing dirty and very effective"
I've used slide resonator guitar in so many different types of track. I still have quite a few on here. Try this one out:
But I rarely play slide anymore. Or even just regular guitar, which I'm a bit ashamed to say. Nearly all the guitar parts in this are recycled parts from leftover bits from other tracks recorded in the last few years. I'm good at making good use of old, leftover material when I'm not sure what the hell to do or where a current track should go.
"slightly ominous vibe to it which i really dig."
I agree. It gets darker in the second half. Kind of dark trippy. A bit druggy, perhaps.
Thank you so much!
Means a lot to me, but chill isn't really my genre 'feels' is something I made simultaneously while working on trap. I must say your tracks are next level, just checked them out.
Nice one Divady very cinematic and has an orchestral feel to it i like the way you have linked up the various components building the crescendo into a nice outro, well done best regards Robbie.
thank you very much for your com
I will still work the parts because I am not satisfied with the result because I lack the master level structure, mixing and sound but I would do the best I can do
Im glad youre not dead and able to make music like this epic sounding track right from the getgo loved the whole deal it took me on a very pleasant journey and gripped my attention the whole way through. Super job faved best regards Robbie.
cool mix with the Reagan intro which fits the content admirably really nice job i think its the same shitty world humans don't deserve it. . regards Robbie
Xylient you have some fantastic sounds going on there really clean crisp and most of all interesting i hope you turn it into a full work of art you have a superb basis for a really nice track there. Best regards Robbie.
"hope you turn it into a full work"
Yeah maybe, doubt id add much too it. Maybe add an interesting intro and some cool stuff for the 'verses'. Was thinking of maybe finding a rapper and getting them on it too but not sure about that yet.
"Best regards Robbie"
Cheers Robbie :)
Hey Spiv this one is fantastic i really like the direction you are going with your new friend this really is pumping. TOO STRONG heeeeeeee faved. best regards Robbie.
Hey Robbie! Thanks for taking a listen! I'm pretty happy with how this one turned out, and also happy that it is finished... these long songs can be a real strain on the ears.
My new friends are taking me where they want me to go, even if they don't go with me... soon they will be with me always, as long as they don't get angry.
Ha ha, that "too strong" part worked all too well. So true though.
Thanks again! Hopefully I'll have another new song soon, or at least a finished album to share.
Joe i have added a synth line to this and also a beat i will post the track here or send me your e mail and i will send the mp3 direct to you i use ableton if you want the project i can send that also. let me know what you want regards Robbie. my email is robbiespeirs@gmail.com
I am really pleased that you have made the effort and have played something new to it.
It would be absolutely great when you post it here so I can listen to and also others what you have done.
Since I still work on this piece it would be nice if you can somehow give me the two steems as wav. If these are too big for you to send, I also take mp3 files. Unfortunately, I work with Magix and not with Ableton, but I would be really happy if you can send me also the midi files.

I'm really curious about what you've done Robbie and can not wait to hear it.
Joe i really enjoyed this track and listened to it more than once its different from the usual tracks here on looperman makes a refreshing change best regards Robbie.
Hello Robbie.
Good to read that you enjoyed the listen more then one time.
Being a bit different is always something good.
So thanks a lot for your friendly words
Definitely works for me super vocals You have lots of downloads on this every picture tells a story. i like the whole thing good work keep it up. Robbie.
Hey Neuromance that is a sold chunky track right there you have done a good job of this for sure. Nice mixing clear as a bell i loved the arrangement too cool guitar my fav instrument. best regards Robbie.
Glad you liked it! I added a bass that you can't even hardly hear, but it seems to add some chunkiness, also landr.com is my friend. I too like how the bells and the Guitar compliment each other. It kind of gives the guitar an extra kick.
Hey Midi nice n spooky intro followed by interesting arp sound. All in all avant garde sounding piece lays out a story in its path which i enjoyed greatly. As the great Robert Burns said in Tam O Shanter " Weel done cutty sark " You have your own sound which is a very good thing i.m looking forward to more from you. well done best regards Robbie.
thanks Robbie. have had some creative/life inspiration from a new acquaintance lately. I am grateful if I have achieved something of a unique style. I would like to keep the music accessible on some meaningful levels as well - that is the overarching goal these days. Thanks again for checking things out. Dan
Hey Bleep,
I really like the bass playing on this which has a vintage feel to it it also had a nice back beat. Nice combination of the various instruments too i loved the outro Good work Bleep. best regards Robbie.
I tried to render a sensual groove with the bass line but i didn't thought it could be vintage too :) it's a good surprise to read this kind of feeling ^^
I'm always afraid when I mix the piece at the end that the duration can be boring in the listening. It seems not to be the case :)
thanks for listening ;) and your joy bomb was a real good surprise for my ears too :)
