Definitely hardcore in my opinion, even if it's not generic hardcore (all the better right?). I love the purposeful distortion on so many elements of the mix, and the glitchiness is really fun. Keep it up, hope to hear more!
Ahh, that explains why this song went well in the background whilst I ground some herbs with a mortar. There was something so familiar with this song. I must play it again while I smoke. Thank you for sharing!
Really cool beat creation on this one. I especially like the reverb going on in the high Q kick sound, it really seems to carry the track along. This sounds really late 90's to me for some reason, and that can't be wrong. makes me want to groove in an office chair, and that can't be wrong! Makes me wonder what chemicals reacted unsuccessfully, cuz it sounds okay. !)
Dang listening to the last two of your tracks made me want another double espresso. I liked this track a lot too. I can see that you were challenging yourself for sure when comparing to some of the techno work you've done. I must say that your techno get's me going a little more, and I love electronica. That's all personal preference though. I think your choice of sounds and mixing on this track was very good though.
Nice beat so far, and as I'm learning you have a good ear for voice samples. It's so important to a good tech track, and this doesn't disappoint. I wish I had the guts to use such classic samples without worrying about the consequences. I like how things build up around 2:45 as well, it seems so intense. The track is smokin too, not just you! Oh no way ghostbusters samples!!! OMG holy crap this rocks. I think I'll fav this too!
A hundred thousand thank-you's Spiv. As soon as I heard Joe Pesci going on that anti-semitic rant, I just KNEW, I had to make a techno record around it. Lol. You are too kind mate, peace bro
I think I know that mashed head feeling, sometimes it worth it for a killer track, like in the case of this one! The vocal samples compliment the beat in a very special way. I can't say I've heard a track quite like this before, and I think I'll have to fav it too. The birds remind me of my backyard, they start to get agitated when I play my organ or synth too loud. It's groovy man, I'm going to go and see if you have some more tracks to hear. Thanks for sharing!
Whoa! Steady on Spiv, you'll give me an ego!! Lol. Seriously buddy, thank you soooooooo much pal. The entire reason I make music is so other people can enjoy it, so it's nice to see I haven't totally failed. Really appreciate the review
Great tech feel hereand I'm loving the acid line around 30 sec or so, makes me wanta trip out! I might agree that the volume is pumped a bit too far, as I can't seem to turn it down enough to keep it from distorting. Could be intentional to, so who am I to say. Great groove man, keep em comin!
Definitely sounds aphex, and thus puts me in mind of a horrible time. You must have nailed it I guess. Don't be offended if I don't relisten to this one.
For some reason this song makes me sad... I love it though. Cinematic is an interesting classification, I guess I understand though, not like it matters. What matters is that this new work is fab and spectacular. Can't wait to hear more!
Cheers for the review mate, the tune does have a meloncholic feel to it, glad you got it. Its meant to be part of a concept album with a kinda linear story. The next track will be uploaded in the next few days. Cheers again, Dhar
I really like the song, aside from the siren, but then I've got post traumatic stress... lol. This really sounds very 90's to me, which I can't complain about. Thanks for sharing!
Haven't heard this style of trance before, cool though. Sounds like it needs to be filled out a bit, I was going to say "maybe some high hats", and then they came in... so I guess I'll just shut up. Refreshing track!
It's a cool track, makes me think of the Cure circa 2000 or somethin, minus the Robert Smith sad voice. Almost sounds like those pads are getting digital clipping or something, maybe the sound is intentional, or maybe it's my bad speakers (probably). Nice work!
Edit- I think I did some damage to my ears yesterday, so don't worry too much. I been playing to much gibson organ, I think I got midrange tinitus or something. Cool song!
I thought I'd fixed the clipping problem. It might be an artifact caused by the 128kbps render, or I may just suck at mastering. I have a compressor on the pad channels I'll try adjusting. I appreciate the feedback.
thanx for the great feedback man!!! yeah i love the twisted sound that i put into it, this one of my older tracks but also one of my favorites!!!! thanx again!!!
I really like the steppy bass line on this track. Brings me back to working in an optical lab and playing DJ sets as loud as I could. I'm sorry to hear about the troubles in your life, I'll send good energy your way.
Sounds really good so far. I think if I were working on this song, I'd throw in a little ambient break in the action where the song stops of. Then pull the main theme back in with a heavy build to the end. Definitely excellent playing on this one. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks heaps, thats a really good idea! im just thinking where i should plcae that break. I think after the strings stop on the second half would be a good idea?
Great track! I really enjoy your mixing style on past tracks, and this one is no less amazing! I'm kinda glad I got fired, so I can catch up with the looperman krew. I'll have to go back and listen to some of your other tracks.
I'm really enjoying this track! And I feel where you're coming from. Absolutely nice work, and unique production.
>To Endtransmission : I hear what you are saying, but it's my opinion that we DO need the ego. Who is supposed to drag us all kicking and screaming into the future except for someone who KNOWS that they can do it? I just got fired for this same resistance to confidence. If you know what the future will bring and you try to change things are warn others, the problem is in the skepticism or the underlying resistance to change. Not saying you are wrong, just had to throw my opinion in.
