Wow, I don't know how I missed this one! I really enjoy the tribal feel to these drums. The whole mix is a bit creepy, in a good way of course. This song is extremely effective, and it shows in how many faves you've gotten. I'll have to add myself to that list. Great work on this one! Bummer I can't DL it though.

Maybe it's one that's only revealed when it's time? It is a "sonic banishment in 3 movements" and not a party piece. Glad you enjoyed it.

Aaah, this really brings me back. I love the jazz you've created here, and to be presented somewhat raw is very cool. I love the subtleties that tape imparts to music. Great grooves on this track, and a wonderful vibe. I must fave and download it! Thanks for sharing!

on This Is Not A Love Song by EnkiDubstep
I like the feel of the intro - but it does seem to run a little long. The beats sound really nice when they come in though. Cool atmosphere on this track though!

I made the intro a couple of months ago, and haven't really changed it a bit. I hadn't really thought about the length of it. I'll probably shorten it, cheers, (Y).

I really like how this beat sort of pulsates, very cool. The snare rolls you've made are top notch too. This is an entertaining mix of styles for sure. Your melodies seem very well thought out on this track. Thanks for sharing!

on Sorry (feat Marj) by KDLproject
I think you've definitely done the vocals justice with this one. I really like the new school breaks vibe on this track. Very cool bass line when this song really takes off. I also think you chose some really cool synths to orchestrate this with. All in all a very entertaining track!

EDIT- Sounds like you've made some definite improvements with the new mix. Nice to hear this track again!

on STARLIGHT by GHOSTthatcheR
I really love the build up of energy in this track! There's some kind of voicey element in the beat that just kills me too. I like the ambient sound effects you've used intersperced through the track. Very cool work!

thanx man, i worked alot with this track and im really happy how it turned out. im glad u liked how i built it up too, exactly what i was working towards. i seem sometimes to go too complex with some of my work, so i tried to keep it as simple as i could but still be real effective to the ear.
thanx man,

on Processed Percussion (aka Mutilated Beats) by flyindevil
This reminds me of drums on old 80s and 90s electronic toys! This is a really unique style of percussion mutilation. Very enjoyable!

It's really cool to hear some experimental noises on this site! Makes me wonder how you created all the wierd drones. I like how you've used effects on this track. And it's nice and loud, in your face. Nice work!

It sounds like you have a pretty cool track here! It seems like the whole thing is really quiet though, I would really work on that. Like either normalize the audio or master the track better. Cool chill out vibe though!

on TRANSMISSION COMPLETED by brandonjames
Cool track so far! I almost think the bass could come up in the mix a bit. I like the vocoder type samples. I like when the portamento lead comes in, gives this kind of an acid feel. Nice work!

Superb bass line on this track! The melodies are pretty cool too, and kind of old school. Seems like the drums could use a little more work though, like the frequency ranges could be more filled out. Nice work so far!

Yeah, I need some more work on drums.
After all its a demo cut :)
I'm planning on finishing it completely, then mastering ;)

I love this one! Those beats along with the killer pads make this extremely powerful. Very unusual collection of sounds on this track. This track really stands out when you compare with other types of breakbeat. I like that you've fused some acid influence on this one. Great work!

This song is totally crazee! I can hardly hear the music underneath the vocals. Very cool when things get hard core, but I'd lower the vocals and pump everything else up a bit. Cool track!

on Bump Bump (loop showcase 2) by DonnieVyros
You've really done a great job showcasing these loops. The track does have an eerie quality to it. I like the variety in all aspects of this track. It's almost confusingly original. Cool stuff man!
DonnieVyros
DonnieVyros replied Unknown - 2027 years ago
Prech that man. Yeah, this track was in and of itself another experiment. Not necessarily a new one, but I thought mid-mixing 'why not go for 2 bass channels instead of having leads or pads?'. Haven't really messed with that approach since late 07 with And Then There Was. The second part came with the drums where I tried fusing the stylings of both house & breaks/d&b. The vocals were added at the end just to beef it up and to show the nay sayers that they could be used. Glad ya dug it. Later on!

Very crisp and clean drum programming on this one. I agree with Travis that this could use some phat bass. The groove is already super strong though. Nice work!
