I like the unusual sweeping percussion that you've used on this track. The synth loop gets a little repetetive, despite being very cool. I like how you've mixed this track though, all aspects seem to be well represented. Nice work!

on The Power - Electro house type thingy by aktolman

This is a very enjoyable track! I really think the mix is good, the bass sounds just right on my equipment. That said, the bass line is killer. I really like all the filters sweeping on the transitions. Very cool track!

This is a very cool groovey tune. I might be confused, but there are hardly any vocals on this, intentional I'm assuming. Really nice guitar playing and tone. I really enjoy the relaxed rhythm of this track! Nice one!

EDIT- Seems like you got the upload problems sorted. The vocals are great! This is even more groovey now!

This is a very exciting track, and so expressive! I like the frog atmospheres a lot. I feel unqualified to do a good review of this track, as I don't fully understand it's production. I do feel the psychedelia that you speak of though. Powerful track, I really like it!

Thanks Spivkurl - this track is in many ways the direction I'm planning on going, it that it's a combination of sampling (loops) and my own analog instruments. The original geng gong (bamboo jew's harps) were recorded on a mulitrack and then brought into Ableton Live 7 LE where I added the percussion tracks. Mixed that all down, and then reloaded the "master" track and brought in the water drums and 7 tracks of frog field recordings. Sprinkle gris-gris say an incantation or two and voila. "Frog Song." Thanks for the review.

This is one very well developed trance track! I really like the cool piano vibe. The bass sounds very good too. I like the unusual percussion sounds that you've used. Very nice melodies and progressions. This track is not very repetitive, which is nice to hear from trance. Nice work!

Mind you when I first put it together, OF COURSE there was a part that went on and on doing the same thing. But fortunately it was so bassy that I removed it, with the added side effect of not having like 60 seconds of the same sound. thanks for noticing! :)

This track really shows that you were paying attention to details. I like the acidic style of the song. Very cool drum beats and drum sounds. I like the samples you've used to. Very cool arrangement and flow! You never disappoint with your trance tracks. Great work as usual!

I saw this remix opportunity, but haven't heard the original song. I really like this remix though. It's very atmospheric and the music seems to compliment the words. Nice work!

Definitely a cool dance beat. It's nice to hear this pella again. I like the synth lead sound you've used, but It sounds like the delay on it is out of time with the tempo of the track. Maybe it was intentional though. Overall a cool track!

This is a very cool track. I agree with others that the bass is quite infectious. The bongos sound very cool too. Nice transitions between sections, the track flows well. I would love to hear this track with some vocals! Nice work!

This really stands out when compared to much of the ambient I've heard. The atmosphere really works with the vocals. This track has a subtle intensity about it. Nice one!

Thanks. I've put it as ambient because of what it seems to do emotionally. Thought I might put it up as Hip Hop, but that seems to be pushing the boundaries of generic definition. The vocals are actually transposed about 3 or 4 notes below the original specifically to tease out that intensity and make it feel like it's compelled. I'd really like to make a long version of this one, but it won't work without the vocals, and uncredited (I've been searching for the source everywhere I can think of) they make me a bit nervous.

I like the style of this DnB! I enjoy the variations on the drum beats. Kind of gutsy using a sample from Psycho, but I like it. Hope it doesn't get you bumped from the site. Nice work!

This is pretty cool! The sound of the track really fits the title. I must say that this sounds very much like it came from fruity loops, which isn't all bad. Maybe it's the drum sounds. I like all the cool beeping. Nice work!

Thanks Spivkurl. Really, it started as a personal challenge to see if I could approach "commercial flavors" while maintaining the sonic style(s) I'm exploring right now. I'm not sure about how successful the attempt has been, but it's a groovy tune, in which I've learned a lot in the process of creating. Thanks for the listen and review.

This is a pretty cool dubstep track. The bass line does sound really good, especially with all the variations you've created. Some elements of the drums sound a bit off beat, but that might be intentional. I like you build up the intensity around 3:30. Nice track!
