I'm grinning from ear to ear. The original and the nostalgic woven together seamlessly.
are you using an amp modeler? how are you recording the guitar? I know how hard it is to mimic a live- mic amp sound without all the noise.

either way, quite impressive.. added to faves.

Hello there Goosemeyer,

Now yours isn't a name I have seen before listening to my tunes, as I remember most everyone. So welcome!
I usually play/record country, rock, and blues.

I am glad to have to listen and review any of my tunes that you might be interested in.

As far as the particulars in this one, I used my Framus electric (Les Paul lookalike) and plug in direct usually. And yes I have amp modelers with in my Pro Tools software.
In fact, I think I have too much software.

I have real sounding natural pianos to electric pianos and many other various instruments including synths, such as the old ARP 2600 for weird sounds and the 'MOOG' instruments.

I use effects and EQing to acheive the sounds I want to hear. In other words, a lot of experimenting. I usually use www.betamonkeymusic.com drum sets as they are recorded live, usually 24 bit I choose.

Altho a drum machine will probably do the same....except cost lots more.
I usually record the rhythm track twice to give a song a fuller sound. This can be just the same guitar or combo of different guitars including acoustic guitars.
If you'll look at my profile and gallery, you'll see some of the different instruments I use and play myself. I also have learned the 'Mastering' side of music as well so I don't have to take my tunes to a studio anymore for mastering.

So again, thanks for stopping by and I'll give a listen to your tracks as well.

on Ghost stories by Luzuko
as a fan of Trojanmic, and someone who's tried to use his 'pellas, I must say this is about the best one yet. beat is catchy and supports the vocal well, never falls out of sync,. my only criticizm would be it's a bit busy, and sometimes it seems the vocal is fighting for room. Other than that, it feels as if the track was crafted around the vocal, instead of the vocal being glued on a track whether it fits or not. Very, very nice job.

It took me a second, but it grabbed me. Definately has hints of nine inch nails, and the oddly melodic mechanical bassline reminds me of the genre-bending, ahead-of-it's-time "Rock on" by David Essex. Much like the wine, it has a nice body, a clean finish and some fruity notes..

keep it Loopy..

The Goose.

I liked it at first, but at about 2:22 I LOVED it.. If there was a vocal spit on this, you could push the accents further back in the mix and bring out that bass for a "Dirty Vegas" feel.

as a guitar player who had a giant metal hair helmet back in da day, this is something I can really wrap my head around! the

with the percussion changes and guitar picking, I has almost a Dave Grohl type feel to it, but with more ballz. top notch

already added to faves..If Coney's right, I have to listen to everything on your page.. I really must say 9/10, I'm reserving a point until you get some vocals on it.. hell, I'd pay for that download..

Peace on ya.

Hey Goose. I feel honored with the Dave Grohl-type-feel-with-more-ballz-comparison. And 9/10 is also a great compliment - thanks mate, it means alot :)

very nice, there's nothing I like as much as genre blending and bending..

I'm curious to see what sort of vocal would work with that. nice job :)

Usually, when I click on a track labeled "Metal", it's sounds as if the drums came from a store in a can, but this is a refreshing change..It sounds like a BAND, not a dude..

lol - thanks. I know what you mean, I was able to get some more thickness beef with stacking natural kits and electronic beats.

I really liked the smooth feel.. I think more guitar is in order.. I know it's hard to find something in A minor that doesn't sound like Santana. Check out Robert Plant's "Big Log" for some sonic ideas.. it's a close match in tempo, same key and guitar sound. but remember, no stealinz allowed!
