Ahh, I love it. Very catchy!
My favourite genre used to be happy hardcore/trance...
Two things I suggest you look into - Compression/Side Chain and Filter tracks. Once you apply these and get a nice bass frequency your mix will sound that much more professional.
Hey, glad to hear from you again :) Thanks for the kind words and suggestions.
Thing is, it's already doubly side chain compressed. I don't know what I'm not doing right because you're right it still sounds out of sync. I applied a bass booster to it too but it still seems lacking. Hmmm....
oh damn, this is so good.
You got a good voice too, for this style.
Reminds me of a few different bands, but of course is very unique.
Love the steady beat, reminds me of some of Conner Obersts music. Or maybe Elliot Smith.
I would be stoked to work with you on a few tracks, good voice/guitar combination.
I can always provide backing tracks if you want electric piano and drums or something... Let me know and PM me if you want!
Hey, thanks for the positive feedback, and the comparison to two of my favorite artists. That really made my day.:)
I currently have a track I think could use some drums or piano. I just have to add the vocals;probably this weekend. I'll get back with you real soon. Thanks
thanks man.. i listened to all of the samples and found a few i will def use... i will let you know when i get around to them.. thanks for sending those
hey, listened to a couple of your tracks after I saw you were a Kate Bush fan.... Wicked.
Kate is one of my biggest influences, somehow I ended up making electro music. Keep it up, I dig the energy in this particular track - I can also dig the simplicity, some people can't appreciate a track that doesn't clutter itself with needless sound fx or instrument tracks, this is a great blend. I hear jazz influence too.
Hey, thanks for the kind comments. I haven't really kept this page updated, so you may be interested to hear a few tracks on this site http://soundcloud.com/blood-line
especially the CAIRO- Drum & Bass Free Download track as I sampled a Kate Bush track, eygpt I think (can't remember what album), but yeah I agree she is the bomb!
I also revamped the track you listened too and it is now called Zurich on my soundcloud page, so let me know what you think!
Actually, the quality of this song surpassed my expectations initially, so I was struggling to give it a good critique, but after listening to it a few more times....
The only suggestion I can make is in the future you need to make a stronger melody - more layers, more octaves, a secondary 'counter' melody to answer it, maybe some panoramic automations. I would even throw in a fast arp or two here and there to spice it up.
But it truly makes me proud to see this quality work here on the loop.
thanks star. its stutter edit http://www.izotope.com/products/audio/stutteredit/
its even doin the arps. i ran it on send a and ran all the tracks through it. the more sound goin into it, the more varied the sound it produces. its seriously kick ass.
best part, you play it like an instrument. puts the effect right where you want it, and you can have a different set up on each key on your keyboard. seriously, check it out. and thanks again for the listen, glad you liked it.
lol!! thats cause it is a separate production track lol me and my brother started sep. pro. and all my other songs are to much memory to download on here.
It needs BASS, and I mean a bass freq BOOST!
Sounds like church instrumentals... I like the lyrics you got, keep posting these and keep improving.
Oh, and again, welcome to the loop
Cheers
Sick tune you guys created here, spot on collaboration.
The only thing I would say would make it better is to really ramp up that build up that starts at 2:23. Make it go for 4 more bars and add louder synths during the build up, but hey thats my solution to everything ;)
Really nice drum beat you got on this one, and to Becca - well done on your part.
This is what my mind needs right now, thanks guys.
Wow thanks for the helpful suggestions!!! Imma gonna take you up on that on some of my next ones. We really appreciate you taking the time to listen and for the constructive review! I will be sure to stop by again soon and do the same!!! Thanks again brother!!!
hm.. its funny.
this is the first time I've listened to this track.
Great song - check out my remix.
