not bad? whatever man, this track is DOPE!! The beat is funky, the basslines could easily set someones speakers on fire and if they played it at an event/rave it would get everyone moving..
Good job man, sorry it took SO long to get a comment your way
Peace
DJ Swindla aka Mike
Ok first i have to say, i make Drum n Bass so i'm pretty far from the rock spectrum but i DID take a fair listen to your track...and heres what i thought of it...
I really dig it man, the vocalist is great, and i hardly ever say that about singers because either they sound they they are trying to hard/showing off or they need to go back and practice some more. But NOT this one, amazing voice, i absolutely love her. The music is of course good, without good music the singer woould be left to fail which did not happen in this track at all.
BUT now ......what i didnt like about the track.....ok i couldnt really think of anything....this track should be played at excessive volumes anywhere its listened to....would've liked to hear more though, 2:58 didnt sound like the end...
anyways, i really dig that track, when i can hear the full song let me know, i'll keep my monitors warmed up.
Peace and Respect

Hey man, first...i love this track...its got SO much energy u could power a planet with it!! Second you put this together so nicely....some parts i wanna move my feet, some parts i wanna smash stuff.... ;)
I listened to it in my studio 3-4 times and i gotta say i think my neighbors hate you now.... and that is a HUGE compliment.
oh yeah if youre looking for the "type" of D&B that this is...i would suggest looking up "crossover" or "skullstep" if you werent trying to make that kind of music well congrats because i think you nailed it by mistake.
As for the mastering problem....the only thing i can offer is that i used to go full out on all levels when i was producing tracks...so it would drive the bass into the listeners brain, what i found out playing my tracks live and having people play them on their own systems for me is that if you turn the loudest bass down by even a little bit (if its on a vol level of 8, lower it to a 6 and see how it sounds) itll cut out the huge punch that scares peoples system and make them want to turn it up even louder !! and we all want someone to reach over during our track and yell "Turn It UP!!" at least that way its up to them to blow their system and they cant blame us lol.
think about it...it might work for you
peace DJ Swindla aka Mike
Thanks, Mike! The drum pattern is inspired by the one in Current Value - Strange Peace, and that's a skullstep track. I was going for a dark, yet danceable track, with some skullstep elements, but i wanted to leave some room for basses and synths instead of completely filling it with drums and a sub bass. And thanks for the mastering tip. I'll definitely try that out on my newer tracks. I've always found it really tempting to make the main bass sound really loud, so it stands out more.
Man respect for this track..Basslines bumping, drums are on point. This is definitely the kind of track you pump up and drive REAAAAL slow so everyone feels that groove.
Great work man...i mean it.
Peace

hi mike if you are interested djing on a radio station (londonpirateradio.com) speak to switch he can hook you up but thanks for the comments bro always a pleasure, peace bro
I think the track is good but far from perfect. Some aspects still annoy me a little.
Sexy? I don't know - I never think about that when making music but I guess you're talking about some of the cool grooves.
And different people find different things sexy. For instance, a female friend finds the following track sexy. It's my heaviest ever track so you may not like it at all:
hmmm..comments....does "dope as f*ck" sound like a good comment?...the vibe, groove beats and lyrics -- all good man. keep up the good work. Peace
DJ Swindla aka Mike
i like the fact that you could take all these loops and put them together in a way that makes it sound like it is a live recording. Great job "rocker-gal", i cant wait to see what youre gonna do next.
DJ Swindla aka Mike
hey jamid, that track was absolutely amazing. i could listen to that on loop all night long man. The track certainly has a spirituality that surpasses many tracks i've EVER heard let alone tracks on this site. excellent job my friend..i'm definitely a fan.

Man i So Dig dig your track! The beginning is so light but I knew the heavy was coming...and when it dropped I was so happy. It came at just the right spot and if I was standing in front of bass bins I would have held on right. Excellent job my friend. I can't wait to hear more from ya.
Peace
DJ Swindla aka Mike
Ok I gotta say that I really dig your track. If it doesn't make people shake their ass as well as get sound complaints from their neighbors then they're pretty much dead inside. Lol. I'm totally looking forward to new music from you all the time, if this is a new genre to ya and you killed it this hard then I'm pretty sure that you will be a f*cking dangerous force to reckon with musically in the future. Big up
Peace
DJ Swindla aka Mike
What can I say? I'm really digging this. I can't wait to see what else you come up with in the future...if it's anything like this its gonna be crazy! Big up and respect.
DJ Swindla aka Mike
I So Dig this track. Dark, cinematic, funky...i loved it. You kinda lost me at the end but the song isn't done so maybe it'll tie together when it's finished. Excellent work my friend, I can't wait to hear more soon.

DJ Swindla aka Mike
I apologize in advance, my comment will definitely NoT be in paragraph form lol. What I do have to say is this....this sh#t is sexy and funky. I'm not usually into listening to this kind of jam but I really dig this track. Excellent job my friend.
Peace
DJ Swindla aka Mike
duuuude, this track is insane! wikkid drums man..in all honesty this track makes me want to break stuff lol. anyways, i really dig this track. Good work man, i cant wait to hear whats gonna come out of that head of yours in the future.

Hi, i thought i better leave a comment after checking out your track. i really like it...its so chill but is still so funky and borders on ,dare i say it?, sexy. I think you did a very good job with this track and i cant wait to check out more of your tracks in the future. Again, excellent work.
Peace
DJ Swindla aka mike
man, i'm really diggin this track. i see what subSpace is saying, all you have to do is turn down the levels a bit, just take it out of the red-line and let the listener crank it up as loud as they want on their end. That way when people want to crank it up, and you know they do, they won't blow their speakers because of you instead they'll blow their speakers because they love the track ;)
anyways good track, i'll be looking for more in the future
Peace
DJ Swindla aka Mike
I really dig this track, its groovy, its got good atmosphere...those guitars man , what a good move. My only suggwation ia build up the drums a bit more when the break hits..maybe add some percussion, or switch up on the drums even if its just for the break. But i wouldnt change too much cuz the song is really good,

I guess this might be good for the summer. It's certainly not a cold, depressing, mournful vibe.
Thanks again.

In the end you did actually manage a paragraph though about one third of it (one sentence) was about how you wouldn't manage a paragraph.
Good to hear you find it sexy and funky. Maybe that's only the first couple of minutes as it gets quite a bit heavier after that.
Thanks for the thoughts.
