I wasn't really sure about the genre either while listening but it does feel like pop music. Your tone and the music all suggest that to my ears. Love the reverb but wondering what kind of mic you used. Keep up the good work.
I think you're right, it does have a slight pop feel to it.
And the mic is just a cheap condenser mic that was bundled with the Scarlett solo, although I've used Izotope Nectar =- which I should put in the description to be fair.
I've noticed you like to mix in a high pitch copy of your vocal under your main take. I listened to a bunch of your tracks and thats a pattern I recognize. It works on certain parts, but for this track, it didn't work for me. Not to say that the lyrics weren't dope because they were, I just could do without that aspect of it. Hope you can understand where I'm coming from, no disrespect intended.
When you put that gate on at :48 that shit sound hard as hell. I LOVE the beat and the hook and the effects you put on the lead. I would prefer you all perfect the flow a lil more but either way its good and enjoyable.
Kind of reminds me of clouds and rain like an environment being reproduced in this track. Very soothing but then again its always calm before the storm. Peace and Blessings.
Yooooo! This track is funny in a good way. In my mind I pictured like freddy and jason and all them guys in the gym listening to this shit getting pumped about killing lol. I love the vocals and the way you added that scary feeling, but the music makes it decent enough to play at a place for big kids too. Cool track. Peace & Blessings.
To me, this is perfect music for cleaning up. As I was deleting shit off my computer it dawned on me that this would make cleaning fun and cool. I can picture someone dancing and vacuuming at the same time lol. Peace & Blessings.
Listening to this track whilst vacuuming isn't exactly what I had in mind when making this, but I guess if it makes you get up and do *anything* then that has to be a good thing, right? lol
I'm in love with that piano. It sounds so sexual and seductive. The guitars give it that pg 13 feel but that piano is saying rated r (in my mind and imagination). Good feeling. Is that you playing that piano? Peace & Blessings
Well...that's really nice to hear!:) Yeah, that's me on that piano. I don't think that I'm any good at it, but when you find it even sexual and seductive...well, that's a compliment and a half!:) Thank you so much mate !
I applaud your creativity. Not really my style of music but i'm open minded. The drum cadence is almost like a army of soldiers marching in my mind. 3:51 I needed that release because my mind was beginning to spin. But all in all I'm impressed with your arrangement and your thought process. Those synths are cool and the vocals almost remind me of like a scary movie or something. Not really familiar with the genre so I can't compare it to anything. But kudos to your 2 track. Peace & Blessings.
Industrial is definitely a big listening preference for me, and I definitely like to create it as well... though this is not exactly my style either. I say this since I haven't done a completely live track with vocals for well over a decade. I think of live oriented industrial as being a fairly different thing from what much of industrial has become in recent years, in the same was as I think of most other genres. Some peep behind a computer and a stack of VSTs can barely consider themselves a performer, and most genres are far more potent when they are performed. I'm happy that you enjoyed what you heard overall, and I appreciate that you took a walk outside of your comfort zone! Thanks!
I imagine someone using this song for their highlight reel (basketball or football). It reminds me of watching And 1 tapes now that I think about it. Good track. Peace & Blessings.
Your flow is nice. The beat is a bit mild for my taste but that doesn't mean that it isn't good. Well put together track. Keep up the creativity. Peace & Blessings.
I love the way the beat ends. I love the arrangement. My only CONSTRUCTIVE criticism is I wish the drum samples were different. I feel like the vibe of this track deserves harder drum samples (harder as in deeper, more aggressive, the snare in particular). But even still, this beat is fire.
Around 1:28 I like what you did there at first I wanted to hear that rise get louder with the transition but then I see how you made it a background effect. Dope arrangement very well thought out. Favorited off the jump.
