It's a nice song.
I find it to be very creative.
I like the reverb on the sax.
The voice is very strong, powerful and in tone with your musical company.

Thanks for listening!
I think I overdid it slightly, too much going on. Maybe I'll do a remake some day...

Yes, the voice is amazing!
Cheers/ SJ =)

on Random Acts Of Human Kindness by StaticNomad
Hi. I think the length of this melody is not fine.
I've felt at the end of the melody that that was only the beginning and I won't tell you how many times I've listen to your song before coming now on-line to Looperman...maybe you could say I'm a fan of your music...cause, I guess that's what a fan does..put on repeat what he or she likes (for sure that's what I've done today).
I wait, patient, for the whole song to be upload here..and maybe it will be available for download... :) regards

Thanks for being a fan and for listening so many times.
I think the track being this long is good but I have many parts other parts that I have already composed but not yet finished.

So I will add those to it and you will get your wish for it to be longer.

Thanks for waiting patiently but I won't be making it available for download here. Not until it comes out on my blues album...

This is an optimistic piece of music. I wonder if you managed to develop it more?

on get up and go by doudei
I see you have here different melodies in different genres.
I hope I'll listen to them soon cause you seem to be such a protean composer. My admiration. Rap is something I'm not an expert, but again, I'm no expert in general :)) but, this sounds as I recall rap should sound, and this orchestration has a come here feeling.

Hello again. I've read your profile description before listening to your music. The "About me" section it's very amusing while it has this feeling of gravity.
About this melody, I sure did enjoy listening to it.
I liked the rhythm in it.

on Guitar and afro flute trial - crystal by deciBel
relaxing, creative, intriguing, intense, haunting.
I liked how the piano starts "moving" around 1.08 min.
2.40 min gives another perspective of the melody.
honestly, I think there are many stories one can imagine while listen to this track. Your song is, how to say, artistic - I don't know if I am "politically correct" but I hope you'll understand my idea that your song is a piece of art.
very nice the lingering flutes in the end + the combination with bells.

on lets forget about my inconvincible father by ElenaSatine
hello. at the beginning of your track the mix of your loops is not so cunning and that is "heardable"(while playing the song with my headphone). in the right ear the sound is too loud, in my opinion. 0.22 second is disturbing. the second bridge is very beautiful.
ElenaSatine
ElenaSatine replied 26th Apr 2014 - 11 years ago
Hello
you might be right !
generally i don't know and don't care about mix and mastering too much !
currently my focus is on my composing skill and
electric guitar playing , but i should learn mix later ..
i respect and appreciate your comment .

thank you much much for listening and for you dropped

on Wholeheartedly Acapella Sketch by JJWeekz
JJWeekz, ah, now I feel bad. You're attempt is far more impressive than mine! But I took my chance and did something with your great, great vocals! Good that I didn't listen to your track earlier cause it would have been discouraging for me...

No problem, I tend to give extensive replies. And extensive track reviews. I have a lot to say about music.

This one's not so long but that's because there isn't really much I can say in response to "thanks for the reply".

on The Bigger The Fatter The Better by StaticNomad
an epic journey! I was subdued by your track since the beginning of it. It's a flawless piece. You have great skill but I'm sure you've got plenty of comments like this one!! by the way, great title.
StaticNomad
StaticNomad replied 22nd Apr 2014 - 11 years ago
Thanks. It's very rare that I get any comments from people such as yourself who don't also have any tracks uploaded. I don't know why but those people seem to mostly listen but not comment.

Anyway, hard to say if this is flawless. It's very busy and kind of rough and raw so not some smooth thing with no rough edges. But I take your point - you liked it and can't think of how to improve it.

"You have great skill but I'm sure you've got plenty of comments like this one"

Thanks. I do get some of those sort of comments from time to time.

Yes, it is a killer title but I didn't come up with the phrase. Here's the silly story of how I came up with it as a title. A few years ago, I asked my mother what sort of pastry she would like me to fetch from the kitchen as there were a few different options. Her answer? "The bigger, the fatter, the better".

I heard that and knew I had to use it as a track title. Then I just needed to come up with something massive and powerful that would do it justice. I was never going to use that title for one of my chillout tracks. I'm not sure if the track keeps building and getting bigger and fatter and better but it's hard to top some of the riffs in the first couple of minutes though I did try.

Anyway, thanks for your thoughts. I have a great deal of other epic journeys on this site so check a few out.

This one used to be 17 min track, then I split it in two. The other half is here and contains grunge, blues, rock and hip hop, all as a psychedelic long form, eastern journey:

http://www.looperman.com/tracks/detail/149490

And this is also an intense rocking trip but with much more beauty and way more sounds:
