merci pour avoir pris le temps d'écouter et surtout de partager ton ressenti, qui, je vois, semble positif :)
depuis qqes temps je m'échappe des compos purement instrumentales, va savoir pourquoi? mettre un peu de chaleur humaine dans mes compos avec une voix surement! non pas qu'un morceau totalement instru soit froid, bien evidemment, mais c'est le coté humanisant qui me tente en ce moment lol
j'ai pris en compte ta remarque sur le hit hat et le ride pour leur vélocité :). Concernant la cymbale "crash" vu quelle intervient en fin de "phrase" donc assez rare, c'est pas d'elle dont tu parles lol

Great to hear you enjoyed it. I've only been working on this one track for the last few weeks and, now I've finished it, I'm not quite sure what else I have to work on. I guess I'll find something - probably some older problem tracks.
Yes, the mix is complicated but I keep mixing all the time as I continuously sculpt the sounds and automate the effects. I work entirely on headphones.
I'm a bit disappointed that I didn't manage to come up with a proper intro but maybe just that cello bassline and drums is good enough.

i mean because you only used samples from this site it was surely great fun to create your track. (I should be more curious about the loop and sample categories here...)
i used to do that back in the 90's when i discovered what sampling was about (I bought a Yamaha A3000)It's definitly a very exiting and creative way to make music

Yeah, it's really fun most time (and sometimes your terrible nightmare when nothing wants to stay together, lol). The next one likely will be a horrible one, because i will play all the guitars. :)
However, i have tons of unfinished projects too, one of them are almost ready too so it's possible to finish that before.

You can choose to works on the structure and the editing later,
it's up to you.
Personnaly i first works on demo, let some time and return to it (days, weeks month ?) later, it's bring a "fresh listening".
You can listen to my tracks (some got guitar some not) and if you want some help i can may be replace some of your midi sounds by real guitar parts
Your track reminds me a bit of "english vibe" which i know well
