Very ambient song and very danceable. I like it a lot. Great construction, clear and concise verse, chorus, and i love the breakdown. The strings low in the mix is really a nice little touch and nice to hear some syncopated drums & perc. fills at the end of a 4 bar in this track. Only complaint is that one of the melody synths is way too high on treble, it's really screechy and annoying. Other than that, this track is wonderful.
Sick track. great use of VST's. I love all of the weird spacey liftoff sounds in this, it really creates a mood.
Some Constructive criticism:
great sounds but needs more layering, not just everything playing at once. You should try making a clear breakdown and a couple clear and concise verse sections. I at least try to make on chorus, one verse, and one breakdown ( or two breakdowns and two choruses) If you don't select sounds out of the mix to be shown in it, people will be hearing too much and it's just noise.
All in all, cool song but needs less loopage.
crazy stuff the effects are insane, once again spotless production and great arrangement, keep it up. these guys are wrong about the melody. it works great with this track, i think adds a very melodic scary tone to the song.
lol i think i changed it, honestly i don't even know any longer, it's been a long 4 months of college, it's all a big burr lol Thanks for so much for your review, but i was not expecting scary haha

on another looperman track called tunnel vision by Donnie_vyros. i really enjoy how this track builds, nice steady beat with little FX thrown everywhere. very tastefully though. wow this is all put together well. sounds like a movie soundtrack almost.
ive never done dub genre so i wouldnt know what it sounds like. i like this though its very laid back, reminds me of like one of those tracks in action movie when the plot is building with something seedy in a back alley, as usual everything is well mastered and production/sounds are good quality. rei you are very dependable
great track, mastering is a little strange though, volumes are out of whack with the synths and bass. i really like the theme of this one, just in time for Halloween too hmm?
this is some great funk!
i love the guitar very flangey. This is great stuff! mastered to perfection but the kick drum is a little heavy for funk, other than that it's absolute perfection! im going to sit here and guess that unmistakable sound is slapjohnson's sax? This is the golden music of looperman, i haven't ever heard this funky of a tune on looperman.com before!
thanks very much VM, i get you about the kick but i liked it that way , i have a different version on my http://soundclick.com/alank that i shortened the decay of the kick drum. Thanks again for the kind words.
its a very smooth-transferring mix of DnB, Latin, House, and Techno. the mixing is well done, all very good sounding loops. nice chime sounds translating to synths, i like that a lot.
though i dont feel the synth line fits... and it needs a little less repetition. the mixing and arrangement is very good though. i really like the drum loop, very house style.
awesome piece just has mixing issues, take the the lead up a little and the sound effects (music box) up a LOT. sounds like the rain sounds are very distorted and compressed, i suggest adding some reverb to the clown stuff and bringing it down a notch. the drums are very soft also. i cant really compare to soundvisionz but i can just say it has volume issues at most. keep working on it because it's a killer idea. lol killer idea.
thanks for the helpful advice man, im not much of an expert on mastering. as always your ideas have formed a valuable part of my learning curve.
cheers
i like the rushes in the drum beat, it keeps it interesting. the bass could use a little more "oomph" to it, it's a great song. Keep up the good work :D
cool yeah i'm starting to think more and more that there's more that could be done here so thanks for tips! maybe i'll reupload when i can work on it more.
lol its tron music reinvented... this one made my head go bop bop bop bop bop bop bop
and at the same time i was mesmerized with the amazing ambient sounds.
wan that is some amazing piano... but there is no real bass sound to the percussion... it sounds like one of those 80's roland drumloops and the heart monitor beeping is cool too.
the bass ties in nicely with the piano
it's ok i guess with the singing and all
needs major work on the mastering and i'm getting some weird feedback noise on the track too.
i love the fusion of elpaso style country and then the mixture of a basic rock tune, then its a creepy depressing song. and then it melds into this funk/jazz thing, totally awesome i wish i could play strings like that...
wahey, can you give me the raw guitar/bass for the funk/jazzy section i want to maybe do something with it seeing as the drums are kind of lame
Hello there Vicious_monkey!
Well,I don't believe I've had the pleasure of listening to one of your tracks yet....but I will do so this weekend I can assure you.
Yeah, this was a medley as I call it, as it wasn't a real song like you'd hear normally. So I just put together some chords and rhythm and did about 8 bars each in the first part of what I liked to hear.
Then I added in the Guitar & Bass by itself so you could hear it without anything...sort of raw.
As for the drums, I found a large set of double kick drums and I like that sound, so I added them in, and I felt it fit nicely.
I think double kick/bass is made for heavy metal, but...again, it was my choice.
I have everything separated out so I can give you just the Guitar and Bass. I will contact you via your profile page and send them along as a mp3 shortly. OK?
If you post your results on here, I would just appreciate a comment/credit as to where you got them from. :-)
Thanks for your review and comments,
