Maybe you are right. After the vocalist rejected early version of the track because he find it still too instrumental, i did not put too much energy to refine it, it's "reduced" to a guitar practice. I just "decorated" a bit then call it a day. :)

thanks Orlando. I enjoy creating this kind of track. I think cranking them out now is a good idea in terms of polishing and refining my work in this genre. Not sure how/where these fit in the clubs but am gonna explore that for sure. regards - Dan

Hiya Leon! Jim has the ability to play the rhythm and lead parts at the same time and the little tasty crunches between the phrasing, I think, adds to the whole way he plays. I asked him to give me separate rhythm and lead tracks too and with the bunch of tracks he game me I had way more than enough material to make something.

The vox I just went for, I'm not a lead singer, more a backup singer. But it's fun to belt it out so why not throw some singing down, it is what it is, ha!

Ha ha, yes my friend, I see what you mean about Halloween. I used to spend most of my time in that state of being. Possibly it is what has diminished the holiday itself within my life. Then there is the cultural bias that it is a holiday for children, which was forced upon us in youth.

As I mentioned to toastedavalanche in the previous comment, I needed to contemplate the idea of satire a bit after reading the comments which were coming in on this track. Since it was not my intention, it made me curious. There really was no mocking in my intention, but simply adjustment of spoken words to serve my literal purpose. Is that satire? I don't know for sure, still.

This track is only a try on what i could do with some new (free) vst's i got. So i produced just a (kind of a) dark pad, added a cool trap beat and looked for some lyrics i had who fits to the sound. recorded the vocals and mixed it all together ..... out came this track that fits in a way to this Halloween forum threat from Cru.
Good to know that you think it work.

I can think of very few received comments which were quite this positive and encouraging, and I thank you for it. The list of qualities which you expect from a song of mine - "creativity, inventiveness, extravaganza, healthy dose of craziness and sarcasm with loads of entertaining spirit" - they give me a lot of hope that I succeed in my intentions. It doesn't get much better than that!

Since these field recordings were open air and crowded, they are not prime in any way, yet they still add some atmosphere and interest to an electronic song. I'd love to have better equipment for this sort of thing. My digital recorder is much better suited for small rooms. It does also seem good for EVP recording as well, since I picked up one of those in the local clinic waiting room.

Good to know that you could enjoy the listen.
All I tried was to create an unusual mix between lyrics (a socially critical challenge to think) and music (a relaxed offer to dream and chill). And it turned out that it worked well.
Actually, it is not like Kraftwerk but somehow a little as in the spirit of them.

Not been around much myself mate.
I like the basis of this number but it sounds awful on my speakers only good on the headphones.
I posted it and removed it and altered it a number of times last night or in the wee hours of the morning because I can't seem to get personal satisfaction from it.
So .... it might get deleted again tonight while I mess about some more.
