Ear candy...

The bass in particular is quite lively, nice work.

Enjoying the over saturation on the keys, too.

Thanks for sharing :)

on MFs From Balkan Ft Godfather And Balkan Boyz by DanMed
Always a pleasure to listen to your polished tracks, Dan.

Personally loved the very brief, scratchy horn chord swell which made a cameo at around the 1:56 mark.

Great vocal performance as well...

Very reminiscent of the sorts of tracks which get the crowd jumping.

Thanks for sharing :)

on I Feel so Lost by crucethus
This is bringing back memories of the old Wipeout games on the original Playstation, especially in the first half or so, from about the 0:45 mark... as it has echoes of Future Sound Of London and also a bit of Sasha... it has that industrial edge to it and yet it also sounds warm...

Really liking the persistent bass throughout which has an anchoring effect and so allows some of the other elements license to dance around more freely.

Nice track - thanks for sharing... is there a link to Buy ?

:)

on Where I Land by PaulCreaney11
Nice track - loved the stripped-back, high-cut section introduced at about the 1:30 mark in particular.

Very bouncy and upbeat overall.

on Rainbows by Gizmo1205
Couldn't edit the previous message, hence this extra one -

Sorry for the loss of Gizmo.

The slight 'awkwardness' that is apparent in the tune makes more sense when you listen to it knowing that the pain of loss has been the reason for its creation.

Honestly, some of the bass progressions and timbres in this are, as the kids say - sick! (are they even using that word nowadays? lol) Thick, raspy and dirty...

And is that one of the Window's error sounds that can be heard in the background? Nice touch :)

Like someone else said, though - the string section (a great counter to the heavy bass, btw) probably needs to be tightened up a little in terms of quantisation so it sits a little better rhythmically.

Tune is quite reminiscent of (but heavier in terms of the punch it packs) to some of the stuff Phonat has done, in that it offers up randomness, is ever changing, keeps the listener on their toes, so to speak, and uses syncopation well.

Thanks for sharing :)

You are welcome. Thank YOU for sharing and your detailed feedback, especially taking into consideration the motif and background story of the track. My main goal was to process and convey the ambivalent feelings (hope, joyful memories, despair, anger, pain, regret...) that come along with the loss of a beloved one.

Nice track... know the feeling of 'on with the next one' all too well, personally.

Liked the bass at around teh 2:30 mark - nice n deep and quite raspy too.

Track gives me a slight Far Eastern vibe... enjoyable.

Thanks, glad you like it. Didn't like to needed to fallback to Podolski to find a proper ARP sound; In the "next one" I learned to create a ARP in Vital ;)
The bass = Hype --> Lead Soft --> Lonely Lead --> play low notes i.e. C2

on In which I see me and am disappointed by Zootman
The best thing I can say about this track is that it sounds organic to my ear - as though I just plucked it from a tree, ripened and ready to consume. No adulterants. Just good, wholesome ear-food.

Thanks for sharing.

Zootman replied 2nd Feb 2026 - 4 months ago
Organic is the best possible descriptor to me. And I agree. When I came up with the little sequence thing that runs all the way thru, that's exactly how it made feel. Thanks a lot.

IMO, it's chaotic, threatening and tense.

Really like the snare and kick on this - powerful and nostalgic.

on Simulation ft Silver Bella by DanMed
Get better soon, Dan.

Nice track - lush pads, deep rumbling bass... quite varied as well. Sometimes, perhaps, the vocal gets a little lost in the mix, perhaps because of where it sits in the register - she has a quite bassy voice which seems to sit low... but this is nitpicking: great track otherwise.

Love that 'bass rise' at about 2:06 as well.

Thanks for sharing.

on Stand Alone by the47
Those toms stand out the most to my ear - love a tom tom :)

To be fair, though, the whole track is, imo, well put together, and the performance is impassioned and, at times, blood-curdling, in a way I like.

Clean and clear but also thick and raspy.

Probably not a stretch to say that this is top-tier stuff...

Thank you, I'm glad you like it. Yes, it does sound a bit trance-like, because trance is one of my favorite genres, except for the breaks. I've always had a love-hate relationship with trance: love because of the immersive experience and hate due to those long beat-less breaks. How can you possibly keep on dancing without rhythm? My brain can compensate for a lot, but without a beat up to a minute?!
