Hi Danke.
I wanted to say it was more experimental than weird, but you work with what you have. Glad you enjoy these celestial vibes.

The pad string sounds are enchanting. Very very VERY well executed. :)

Yo, Toastman.

Here comes The Nomad!

Jaunty stuff here. Piano sound is a bit thin for me but then I'm very particular about piano sounds as there are lots I don't like.

0:23 powerful, low end fill before the drums enter.

0:55 there's a problem (a bit of a clash) with the ending of that lead instrument and the arrival of your voice. You could just lower the instrument's level.

Good first pair of lines (the lyrics).

Ah no - I got it wrong. I thought you sang "I feel I was enough for you". That might be a better opening line but feel free to disagree. Or agree entirely, go back and re-record it and give me a writing credit!

1:14 vocals effects are good.

1:38 the same. Very nice. Possibly a vocoder.

3:15 pluckery is effective but maybe go without the pad in the background. Or lower its volume.

Final ending is possibly a bit abrupt, should continue for 8 bars or so longer. A bit like what Mr E said. But that's only a minor quibble.

Otherwise, more of your quite distinctive, personal songwriting that's pretty well delivered.

This is kind of alternative pop music that would chart if someone like Morrissey made it.

great track as usual

voice is outstanding as I wrote many times...I'm the fan of your dark/melancholic tune in your singing which isn't a biggest smile on your face :-) but it's unique, specially here...

Greetings, Mr. Toast.

Well, ain't this some happy shit! But it's the kind of happy shit I really like. I love happy sounding music with dark and twisted lyrics. This is just great! Mix seems fine. No real complaints.

3:15 pluckery is fantastic. The ending section is a real highlight. Fadeout seems like it should be more gradual, with lyrics continuing through the fade. Thats all I can add. I really enjoyed this. I dig the sense of humor.

Take care.

Vampiric greetings.

Your voice is very quickly quite recognisable, as is often the case.

0:34 synth is cool and right up Cru's street as it's early 80s synth pop (Ultravox?), in a good way. Kind of trippy and beautiful.

That synth part breaks up your verses nicely.

1:12 nice funky little synth. Makes me think of certain violin/cello parts from popular songs.

1:47 aha now you come in with your simple chorus line on top of the interesting, wailing synth. Simple and effective.

2:23 haha - very 80s toms there. Your drums have a good groove. MT Powerdrums is hardly the best bit of drum software but it sounds just fine here.

A neat little ending.

No real criticisms from me. It's just a good little song. And not dark at all, which is kind of interesting.

Thank you for your astute analysis. I can always rely on you to tell me how it is. When I wrote the track I had the idea of an 80's school dance running around my head. So I picked up my Cure and Echo & the Bunnymen LPs and headed for the sonic hills!
Glad you like it. Thanks again.

Ahhh,... tracks like this are what I love about this site. Simple, but it will be stuck in my head all day.

You may like the song "The Creature Lives" by Mastodon. Equally quirky. It's about sympathizing with the stigmatized creature from the black lagoon.

Sometimes simple works best. I'm glad it worked for you.
I'm not a massive fan of Mastodon. I usually prefer Floyd, Rush, Porcupine Tree or Coheed & Cambria... but this is a great track. Simple but EPIC! Thanks for pointing me to it :)

So it was you hiding behind the mausoleum?
We thought Van Helsing was lurking about waiting to jump us!
Spot on with the MT Powerdrums, I see you've been honing your skills as a psychic.

Happy Halloween Pkat :)

Thank you very muchly. I'm a fan of Tarantino's work. I was mainly going for a gothic synth pop kinda feel. But this is better :)

what a refreshing change to hear a mix in 3/4 that sounds so right now...you really nailed the vibe here TA...the expressive vocal delivery really goes with the overall instrumentation (you play well). Guess I have been slacking on my LM participation for a while as I just caught up with this one now...well worth the listen & much enjoyed...bravo...Ed

Beautiful, and minimally epic! I'm loving it! Very good sounding depth to the mix, and the stereo field is equally impressive! The lyrics interest me, and it seems like the ideas could apply in many situations. That always makes for good lyric, I think. It was pleasing to hear, and very well created! Fave!

So, the title and the mood of the song definately work. I was able to get into it and actually make it through all the way! I kinda feel an essence of P.Floyd.Wonderful tune!!!

I could really enjoy this little walz style rock song. Once i did a walz by myself and i wondered how beautiful melodies comes while playing in 3/4 ..... Your track sounds very well and your vocals fit fine to the music you created and have a nice sound.

stay tuned

PS: if you have some time have a listen to my one and only (up to now) 3/4 mostly genre free song :)

I'm not sure if I have ever commented on one of your pieces before, but after listening to this track, I will certainly be watching for your stuff. This is really well done, from the instrumentation to the vocals. The mix is also really good and it hits my surround speakers nicely. Good job!

Hi Musicante. It's always good to have someone new at the party. Grab a beer, but avoid the Vol-au-vents (they're a tad stale).
Glad to hear that the mix worked well on your surround sound. Mine have been massively playing up, so a lot of my mixing is done using monitor headphones at the moment.
THanks for the feedback.

Thank you Orlando. It was one of those rare occasions where the track seemed to build itself and I just had to be careful not to ruin the magic by messing around with it too much. Glad you enjoyed listening.
