yeah i agree with epic maybe a touch of low end on the mix just to give the drums a thump , like the vox ,like the tidy beat edits , like the chords that under pin everything and the piano touches
really cool track

Hello mate,
Sorry I can’t write much in this piddly things (iPad)
What I meant to say your mixing is great and the track sounded beautiful.
Well done again.

A good thing I like to do is put the song on my laptop, take an aux cable and plug it into my car's stereo system. The sound you get out of your car/truck is a good representation of what most other people will hear when they listen to your song. Make sure all the settings are flat.
I listened to your song and it doesn't sound too bad imo, maybe the vocals could be just a little louder. And maybe just a little bit more low-end on the drums but again, it's actually a decent mix.
In my person opinion (You know this is my opinion, right?) that you are not lacking anything. The reason i may say it is missing something because it lacks presence, maybe compression or proper equalization. I do think the grunt is overkill in the beginning but the beat is hard. By the way, that 'Watch the Throne' sample gives off an feeling that you are trying recreate oppose to inventing. Drop the voice samples and allow the emcee to add his own adlibs.
And just a tip. You want to create a space for the emcee to rap on. So adding to many sounds will hinder an emcee from exploding on this but if i decent rapper gets on this he will demolish it. GREAT JOB.
Thanks for the advice. I always have a problem with overkill so i'm not surprised. I'll more than likely cut the grunt (I always forget that watch the throne used the world pack too) I never know if I have too much, so I appreciate the feedback. Thank you for contributing to the final mix
yeah I agree with what soundhound said but I know the situation when you get an acapella with noise it can be hard to get rid of without ruining th vocals, sometimes impossible... for me anyway lol. I would turn the kick up I couldn't hear it over the subs in my headphones, but I like the piano the violin kinda sound in the back, melody, cymbals are on point, and the womans vocals were a really nice touch great job keep it up!
The vocal sounds like it has a mask on it...
I would clean that up for sure, lyric is strong
vocal timber is right on....
Simplifying the EQ would give the track body and depth
a clean vocal can sit on top of that and rock the house...
Yea, haha in regards to the filter comment, that's what I said. But this was how the acapella came so I tried to deal with it. And I'll take your advice and re-eq it. Thanks
I like it, though I feel it didn't need the reversed vocal at all. It's not bad or anything, I just feel like it distracts a bit from the really dark feel of the beat a bit. I would def go on this beat if the vox were removed. But as it is, it is still a very solid piece. Nice work man. I like the little breather you put in the middle there
I like the concept! But I don't knw why I feel like the snares coulda been adjusted a bit, and feels like some of the sounds were sought a bumping to each other, but I like it though!
ilike this one! someone should def hop on this one! i would say just a bit of mixing required and it should be even better. but otherwise good skills on incorporating the different sounds! i do that on some of beats too, but try not to make it too complex..
First, Im really feelin the vibe off this. If I were to change something, I guess it might be the beat of the bass drum and how many reapeats the vocal "yea" was played, I think that would make a more dramatic effect on this nice piece!
I like the sound of this alot. I can see (or better yet, hear) where you meant to put the percussion in the certain areas. I must say, it is pretty flowing, and I am digging it altogether. I especially the like synth you use which starts at 0:14. I'm sure with some more work, the drums will be accurate and on beat, and this will be one hell of a flawless soundtrack. Cheers!

I thought the vocals were a bit repetitive and maybe you could boost the low end a bit.
Other than that it sounds decent in my cans.
Nice Job!
