Interesting project aside from the first cut. I've heard others use that same voice and I know good tones can be achieved with its usage which is what I hear happening here. The beginning does show a pathway, when the unexpected vocals meet up along the way the path breaks into two. Straying from the original road immediately the music meets up down that way. About half way in the music starts taking control and showing quite a scene of imagination. Can picture this as a soundtrack by how it builds and releases. A lot of good ideas mixed in the second half. This sound does seem one is able to see the views in the ones eyes. Good job and thanks for sharing. Peace,Dave
Thanks Dave - I really appreciate your comments and the analysis of the song. This one is probably my favorite and there is a bit of lucky alchemy in it. Radio has been crunching Music, for as long as I can remember and that's been a long time...They are trying to take control of the air waves again, now that they have lost it to the internet... Yes Stations are on the net. but they are more in line with us then the stations outside the box, they are the ones doing the most crying... Because most of them are still running on grandpa's gear, and don't really want to upgrade so they figure lets make them downgrade so we don't blow up our stuff...Speakers...Amps and the like.. cheaper for us..

So, there is not a lot that will get me off my duff and up and moving around, but this track did exactly that. And something else, I felt GOOD listening to this...hard not to smile while moving to the beat.
I never pay much attention to genres, but I do pay attention to great music, and this track fits that category nicely. I loved the break at the 2:55 mark, gave me a few seconds to catch my breath, hahaha. I love this tune!!! Added to favorites and downloaded for those days when I don't get enough coffee (thank you for that). A whole lot of awesomeness right here. I hope all is well.

Ahh okay, well from the positive side you don't hear the genre a lot (or at least I don't) It surely gets people moving, can't imagine that most people stand still on this one haha
And I just realized that your picture isn't a pipe with a bush in it hahahahaha, I kept mistaking it for that for like forever but it's just the shadow that makes it look like that

It was interesting hearing this song, a lot of electronics involved in this one while keeping a sort of tribal feel to it. Also some electro house sort of stuff going on. Sure a crazy track but it was enjoyable to listen to and fun ;)
Thanks for your comments - I think it may be appropriate to share that this is not really 'out there' within the genre. The vocals are taken form Billy Sagoo's samples and are fairly standard to the genre which is designed for dancing and celebration. Granted the house loops add a different level of energy but the purpose is to get people moving. The subtext is not subtle and this is basically a balls to the wall expression of energy with a bit of tongue in cheek. Thanks again - You may ascribe more sophistication to my producing ability than I'm due. I watched most of the second video and it was helpful. Like I wrote below, I'm just a duffer lining up loops - hopefully in unique ways but I mainly produce by ear with minimal changes to the loops and virtually none to the master or effects. This will help expand my horizons of the possible. The loudness wars were not even on my radar so I've learned something new about production. -clindsay

Very interesting style here! I had to go wiki "Bhangra," as it sounded familiar, but I wasn't sure what it referred to. The bass parts are really sweet and powerful! The vocal parts add a lot of course, and you did a great job mixing them! I especially liked the more sparse parts of this track, very clear and open to interpretation. Definitely a cool tech piece! Keep it up!

Like what i'm hearing here. I thought i was the only one who did metal techno so it's nice to see someone else promoting that sound. Really dig the arrangement of the gutars an the way the riffs change (especially like the arabian lick. Now it's gone mellow and the vibe has changed again. It's not easy to make transitions like that and make them sound good but you've managed to do it really well. Like the big pads that come in around the three minute mark. This is a pretty epic track. You can probably guess it's not exactly my kind of thing but I appreciate and do like some elements. Probably a bit too crazy and fizzy (high frequencies) for me but good crossover dancefloor stuff.
As always I appreciate your analysis especially on tracks that are not your thing. By the time I post these (there are several in the bank), I'm second guessing everything. Ironically Hyperspeed is more coherent than my track but I think mine has more power. This is in line with mainstream Bhanghra at this point (I know, go figure)and would not be considered crazy within that genre which mixes hip-hop with dance with traditional Punjabi rhythms in pretty eccentric ways.
I originally had this longer and you are right on about adding the sweaty bits for another round but I've kind of learned that to get traction tracks need to be shorter than 4 minutes. I'll add more in the club mix. Again, thank you for taking the time to provide valuable analysis. It is always appreciated. -clindsay
This sounds well old school with those piano keys. Really like what you've done here. I like the track and the way it's been mixed and i like MOST of the vocal. There are a few places where it sounds a little off key but mainly it fits and the track is good. Nice effort here FR

Yeah, this is pretty crazy. I'm not sure if there is a bhangra-hard techno genre (probably) but this would fit right in.
0:51 killer bass riff definitely gets my attention. The ones before that are decent but don't stand out that much for me.
1:43 another massive aggressive riff.
1:53 vocal reminds me just a little of some of the vocals on The Prodigy's classic Hyperspeed.
