Very cool production. That tempo change was nice. Good electronic/dance/club type of feel combined with some fine latin elements I can hear around 2:34. Good choise with vocals. This is definitely my favourite song from the contest. Great job. Congrats, Alex
Thanks! - I think the latin element was caused by uptempoing hip hop drums. Now that I hear it it does sound a bit latiny but it was supposed to sound dance/hip-hoppy. Thanks again for your kind comments.

This is very cool...unique mix of styles, truly I've never heard before funk and dance elements together...stunning bass and animal groovy...fix headbang throughout...
Realy enjoy the listen. fresh stuff with a nice crazy mixture of sounds. Ok, i dont hear to much of the Funktastic stems, but i am sure thats because you mixed all so well into something own.
Thanks Joe - this one was a lot of fun - This is set to 128bpm(dance mode)so the funktastic stems were adjusted accordingly and they form the basis of the bass and rhythm lines.
Used:Funk Strat, Slap Bass, Clav Updated, Grand Piano, Drums1, Drums2.
Thanks for your kind comments.

i like the sound. very clean mix. great organ work. panning of percs is beautiful. strings coming in and bells is such a nice new color at end. you got my vote friend. great work!
now this is different..unique...its had my ears paying attention all the way clindsay....it has the characteristics & freedom of indie music done with imagination and yet there is something about it that could attract the main stream....A tip of the old hat to you...I like your musical imagination...and I admire the talent.....keep doing it......Ed
Indian techno? I thought it sounded a bit melodic to call it techno but now it's kicked off I can see what you mean. This is f**king cool mate. There's loads of big sounds going on, the effects are excellent and it kind of reminds me of something from the wipeout game. You have some good ideas and I wasn't sure about the piano bit to begin with but it leads nicely to the outro.
Good ideas.

It’s good you checked Imogen Heap out. Very popular not-quite-mainstream artist who does a lot of impressive stuff. However, she does so much vocally within a single song that she often does some things that I really don’t like. She basically does a bit too much and can be a bit too quirky and weird at times for me. But the best stuff is excellent.
It was Farisha’s breathy stuff that reminded me of Imogen, as well as some of the higher articulations.
Good luck on a better ending. You have so many vocals to choose from to try adding delay to as I suggested. Or you could do some mega time stretching eg make a vocal phrase a few times slower so really long. I’ve done that in a few tracks (eg see my track Cult Of One, you’ll probably like the female Asian vocal in that plus its mega time stretching in the second half).
“lobby for 'ambient acapella' as a new genre”
Please also lobby for ‘psychedelic’ and/or ‘psychedelic rock’ for me as it’s ridiculous that there’s only one catch-all 'rock' genre. Hell, there’s even 8 bit chiptune, which is a seriously specific, narrow thing.
Hi. It's really a lovely piece of music and I respect that it's vocals only.
Reminds me quite a bit of some of the stuff Imogen Heap does, though she's also an excellent music producer and instrument player. Even won the Grammy a few years ago for best engineered album. Check a track from it called Last Train Home to see what I mean.
The autotune is mildly annoying at times though not really too much of a problem. The beauty of pretty much all those vocals still shines through.
Even if it is just lining up loops, it's still a fine creation and also a suitable length.
My only significant criticism is the very end. Not quite definitive enough and really just seems to cut out. If there's no obvious end vocal I suggest taking a long one and adding big delay in order to just let it drift and fade away. Would be a fitting way to conclude this fine vocal piece.
I think this genre might be called 'ambient acapella' but who cares anyway.
Thanks for the comments - as always, very constructive and informative. Listened to Imogen Heap - see the resemblance especially with 'Hide and Seek' although this doesn't touch her work.
I'll work on the ending - and lobby for 'ambient acapella' as a new genre.
Thanks again - regards,

Unique track right here...
I've never heard same like this at these pages...
Very atmospherical tone with those (autotuned :-) but heavenly voices...
Brilliant effort!!!
Much respect, Danke
Thanks! - all props to you - 'indians vocals 1' really lays well and the 'choir bells song' has a lot of beautiful layers. Thanks for listening and making these beautiful pellas available.

Well, this is pretty cool effort of a track made from only vocal parts, and I applaud you for that! I too feel that Farisha goes a bit far with the autotune effect, and would like to hear her do more without it. Hard to say if fusion is the best description of this, as I couldn't place what it is fusing, seems more like an ambient or chill out sort of piece. It was musically pleasing though. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for you comments - I originally had it as Pop and that didn't seem right- oh well - hard to classify. Fusion would be Indian and Choral vocals although that is a stretch. Thanks for listening.
-clindsay
Thanks for listening Danke - this was an exercise trying to fit lyrics and additional sounds to transform the tone with a bit of irony which I hope comes through - basically 'The Doors' meets 'Franz Ferdinand'.
Regards,
clindsay
This is really quite hypnotic. I was getting lost in those vocals. This is great! very minimal and well put together.
This is something a little bit different and we like that round here!
Well done.

Hi clindsay....I really like the way you have left the vocal clear and uncluttered here plus mixed in the additional vox parts....even better is the fact that leaving out the drum stuff allowed the vocals & choir to create their own rhythm...very cool indeed....great job my friend really enjoyed what you have done here and the sensitive way you developed the composition...take a well deserved bow....Ed
Thanks Ed - I'm glad you liked this - I think it works but it is definitely different from my other tracks. Farissa made it easy and it kind of wrote itself.
