Nice, I like the vocal syncing and the stacatto synths. Now I want to hear more complex elements of arrangement build on this one.

Hello Steve!!

Now you are killing me - arrange it more complex? I already outdid my capacity here I think, it was really hard to get it all together with that crazy beat and the vocal behaving very stubbornly...
But I'll try!
It's a bit monotonous with that beat all over. And I was going to add more complex melody upon the synth but got a headache and decided to post it like this.
However - challenge accepted.

Thanks for listening!
Cheers/ SJ =)

First off nice chords matching the vocals. The timing of the vocals sounds pretty good and timing is always helped by adding echo. I use FL studio which has a "Fit to Tempo" facility that helps. Vocals could be EQ'd a bit brighter? Sound a bit muffled. I also find the rapid kicks a bit distracting over the vocal and a bit repetitive. Overall though a good feel track!
Cheers Steve

Hi Steve!! (How many Steve's are there in here anyway? =D )
About the muffled vocal, yes, it was kind of tricky to bring it out from under the synth stabs so I'm going to look in to that some more.
I also use FL but that "fit to tempo" feature always backfires on me so I usually timestretch manually and repitch if nescessery.
Noted about the rapid kicks, I like them but I guess you have a point there. I could tone them down a bit and see what happens.

Thanks for listening and for the great feedback!
Take care/ SJ =)

Really stunning how you have progressed since you joined this community. What I love about this particular tune is the concise tight mix and the fact you have mastered arranging sounds in a very interesting way (to my ears at least). I am so happy to hear you become one of the elite composers on this site. congrats to your talent!

Tjena, SJ...

Your "toying" with different loops always brings great results and this one is no exception...I think very special talent is needed for that..:)

I'm not a fan of this particular style. But, I have really enjoyed watching, or listening, rather, to your progression as a producer. As a fellow FL user, it's always interesting to hear what other people can do with it.
As far as this track goes, I really like the contrast between the soft and almost caressing piano, and the hard and aggressive percussion.
Nice work!
Take care.

Hi there!
Thanks for commenting although it's not to your taste, appreciate it a lot.
I've just been extremely lazy and decided to use a lot of loops in this one, mainly because I could not make Sylenth to work in the DAW...stupid, stupid FL (yeah I know who the stupid one really is).

But other than that, agreed on it been really interesting to hear what others create in the same DAW.
Thanks for stopping by and take care!

Very well put together track! Kind of have a little fusion on this track, as it have a lot of different genres in one. Good one!

Yeah, I tend to do the same everytime, all genres in one...but this time it's maybe a bit more coherent anyway.

This isn't what i was expecting. This is leaning more towards chill out than drum and bass. this is what drum and bass sounds like https://www.looperman.com/tracks/detail/155362
The lyrics and the singing are nice and it's a pretty good track but i was expecting something more upbeat.
You should alter the genre.

You are always very productive and I can see that you have tried to capture the idea you had into music very quickly too.

I was expecting more heavy drums and basses but this one is quite soft and subtle. I would try to bring the vocals down especially on the male. Other than that keep on being creative. Blessings - B.

I would be interested in listening to a version of this with out the male vocals. And maybe with a synth or guitar lead over this sound. The chord progressions are nice. The choices of synths are excellent. reminds me a bit of a throwa away song from Roxy Music called Always Unknowing. the vocals are not needed for this tune at all..

BTW I make these comments as a fellow colleague. You have done an amazing job at refining your looping abilities and I am impressed at how much you have improved since I first heard your early work. Don't ever stop!!

Fine work for only 3 hours.

First complaint: can you remove the sound of him opening his mouth at 0:08? And anywhere else the same thing happens.

Not sure I'd call this d'n'b but I can see why you've put it there. I actually really like the drums. Those main hits are a type of drum sound I don't seem to have but would like to use.

Piano chords hold it all nicely together but the drums are kind of the star.

Are the male vocals at all detuned? I like the sound of them but they have a slightly unnatural quality that makes them distinctive. I can only think they've been detuned a bit.

This has a good, lazy, dreamy vibe to it and I can also hear your sort of style in it (hard as that is to exactly describe).

Might give more detail later but that will do for now.

Sounds great! - think you can lose the intro and start at about:30. Love the background choruses (airy chants)not sure what to call them- they are very effective. I hear a little Indian vibe in this 1:06 and 4:04. Very restrained and the production values are quite good. Loved the break at 3:59. I have a fairly unreserved love for this one. You have a signature style which I think comes through very effectively with this track.
Much respect.

Very creative track SJ. Like the others mentioned I love the element of the sax in this piece. The drums seem okay in my opinion. However I believe its the synths you're using that is clashing the most with the rest of your instruments. I don't know...maybe it's just me but I'd try a different synth. Anyway it was a pleasure to listen to your work again. Peace my Sweden friend! Dan =B-)

Tjena Orlando! =D

Thanks for the very kind review.
I need to check in to the final mixing and try to do some mastering before it's all there but that will have to wait, right now this is just an other highly annoying song. Also not happy with the drums for some reason. But enough of the moaning.

Thanks for stopping by - I'm heading towards your musical corner now.

This works - I still think there are too any vocals and they are a little hot but that's old news. The break at 1:18 is excellent - the bridge at 1:40 is very good.

You should try muting the vocals at 2:28 and picking them up at 2:40 and turning them off at 3:05.

This is very good - like it a lot- my ears just take it in slightly different directions.

Keep em coming.

Hi again Clindsay!
Noted about the vocals, I need to take a break and come back later with fresh ears before I decide what to do next.

Thanks for the feedback!
