Sad news Steven, there will be pain and a dimming of light, i feel you bro, a beautiful tribute to your mother, like Ian says its poignant, its tender, its warm but its got a charming edge, my thoughts are with you and your family mate
beautiful work mate - appropriately poignant and building tenderly and gently triumphant. Ive had a few funerals recently and in each case there's been a slow sad slipping of vitality from the person who has left us and a lot of anticipatory grief equally though its a privilege to see how much courage and love people are capable of - but of course it's tough, grief it tough - all good things to you and your mum and family
Grief is tough, She was at an Assisted living facility when another dementia patient pushed her, and the back of her head hit the inside of a door frame causing a massive hematoma. If it were you or I we would probably not survive such a fall. The Alzheimers sort of protected her, but she can't really eat food anymore, and the surgery to insert a feeding tube would kill her at this point. She is resting comfortably and was transferred to a hospice today. I am en route from Canada to New York and will arrive tomorrow. It is a matter of days.
The sounds are very deep in a beautiful way.
It all sounds really good together.
I like the bass .
I would like to play this track really hard but my neighbors won't be happy with me.
I'm going to put it in the car tomorrow.
definitely in an interesting vibe! while not my vibe I still respect the time and fun that went into this track! Hope you enjoyed your month off im sure your wife did lol good stuff!
Thanks mate, Vibes are always interesting, and when you can impose on someones elses vibe to aknowledge them, well. You have succeeded, I enjoyed my month off, and learned about A5 Waygu!
Plenty to wrap my ears around and absorb. The mix is solid, most times I hear the drum and bass mixed in way too loud in this genre, here they sit in the mix nicely. The piano/bass/vox at the end was a surprising but enjoyable part, nice way to finish the track!
Thank you Wayne, perfect timing as I have been listening to early INXS and this tune came up as I was replying to you this evening. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qCoeTsXN9Gg
And have a great new year as well mate!
CRU, this is a very well spent 8 minutes. Impressive. Man, that cinematic edge gives this such an interesting perspective. The mix is crystal clear all the way through, even to the cymbal crashes. The 2:09 and throughout that smooth drive with the percussive touches is what's up. The 3:36 ax business comes in at the right place. Then the vocals on that beat and the exit low's is over the top. CRU U DA MAN!
Aye, thanks, this was me after a month trying to find my music muscle again. I kind of like the subdued mix which gave some clarity on all the instruments. The Ax ...I really wanted to play around with some distortion FX to create something weird and wonderful (I hope) Thanks Again!
Nice acid works. U got a mix of genres I hear lol HOUSE,TRIP HOP, AMBIANT,AND LIL CINEMATICS. WELL DONE WITH CHAIN SOUND IS IT I THINK MAYBE KEYS BUT ITS THAT ONE INSTRUMENT WHERE I BANG WITH ONE HAND TO THE OTHER. 3.12 IT GETS LIVE HELL YEA
This has a great beat! it's intricacy is to be admired but that just shows how creative you are, it's always a wonderful! listen to your tracks they are filled with an array of driving sounds. I have to be honest tho, my fave part in this masterpiece is the transition at around 3:12 & 4:16 that for me is when the track hits it's zenith and sweet spot IMO but all in all the track is a beautiful! musical maze of delights. nice vox in the track also. Bravo!
Thank you. Some work mates from the mid-west US were talking about Powerman 5000 and like bands, meanwhile I was exploring early INXS and came across this remix, which kind of inspired the driving sound and the glitchiness. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sRrZ4mW7bV0&list=RDsRrZ4mW7bV0&start_radio=1
Phew that was a long scroll lol...WOW! flipping hell this is a track and a half what a delicious! beat this is. I have to say you never disappoint ever, I'm seriously enjoying this it's full of exciting! sounds that are just pulling me in, freaking! AMAZINGGGGGGG!!! on every level. That transition around the 2:35 mark is sublimeeeee!!! so heavenly. Love It! Kosher!
Thanks, Like static nomad stated I was trying to use all these gneres and riffs trying to make a cohesive sound back then. I have become a little bit more refined now but still have that wild ride side every now and then.
Great synth works mixed with the rock guitar, pretty creative Steven. I like it. Raw happy tune! Good Bass 2! Synth sounds with that 80s style drum beat I'm fool for love it
