I never got a chance to really listen to this genre. This kind of is music is refreshing. Do you have any recommendations of music to listen too in this genre?

Well, I got inspired by teh Supperclub albums. Mixes you can find on Soundcloud. Otherwise Paul Oakenfield(as mentioned below) also makes this kind of music back in the day.

Awesome, Very 2002 house with trance elements, stuff Paul Oakenfold might play back in the day.

Housey greetings.

I'm not much of a house lover but this is really good.

You have a good, sparse groove to kick things off and the delays in that intro work really well. Very chilled and funky.

0:30 fatter beat and new synth riff kicks in at just the right time. Some bits of vocals in there, I think. Great mix and I can hear everything really clearly.

A breakdown now that you've got people moving so that they can sway gently in anticipation waiting for the big drop and the fatter beat to return.

There aren't really melodies I can particularly remember so far but that's not meant to be a criticism. This is about atmosphere and groove, in a dance format, so I appreciate that.

Final dancey section has some nice reverb on the synths and then you conclude on a warm but fuzzy pad sound.

Quite a short track but that's fine.

Overall: no real criticisms or suggestions.

It's just a good house track.

Thanks Static. You really know how to make atmosphere in a track so to have your seal of approval i know i am heading in the right direction. There is no melody in it as i didnt feel necessary to make it as the chords itself stand out good enough.

The talent on Looperman is unreal. Love these synth sounds and the way the hi hat is dancing all over the place.

Wow thanks man. Appreciate it. If you put a litlle pingpong delay on the hihat with the pan sliding left to right you create this effect.

That totally took me back a bit. It even reminded me of Future Sound Of London's early stuff, which is no mean feat.

Such a nice feel to it as well and it left me wanting more. I've actually really missed this genre, and it's made me want to dig out some of my older stuff and give it another listen as some memories have very much been evoked.

Really enjoyed that, and thanks for sharing :)

It definetly has a bit oldschool vibe in it. Love the good old beachparties with this music in your ear dancing till morninglight. The genre is still there but is more underground now because all of the boombastic EDM nowadays.
Thank you very much for your comment! Love to see mindlike people on here :p

Nice tune and production, Maddie's vocal parts works well for this track. The delay on her vocals was nice, my only critique would be that her vocal track sounded a little muddied (not the clearest). I was using headphones when I listened to the track. Other than that it's a awesome tune and a fav. Great Job!

Her vocals are very good indeed. I received the vocals not in the best quality. I really had to boost the sound to fit it into the mix. With headphones you can hear that. But her singing really made up for that. Thanks for the comment.

(Something I wrote to this beat)

.love ones - pass away
.they motivate - tracks today
.live on - thru the beat
.new life - so to speak
.going deep - 4 & goal
.hail mary - bless ya soul
.treasure trove - bars glowin'
.4M@ - mudhoen...

I know these tunes aren't made for rap vocals, but I just can't help it, too good to pass on. Sorry for your loss, Great beat man.

Thank you! I think it might fit very well to this track. I already have a version with vocals in it (collab with Maddie). It might be good to use your vocals. If you like I can send the one with the vocals to you so you can add your flavour. Just PM me!

Sorry for the loss of your father mudhoen!!!

This track is greatly mixed but I have to agree with jesus about to put some piano as a main melody maker...kinda peak of the song...

Handshake, Danke

Hey Danke,

Thanks. He listened to the track we made together and cried. Was a very nice moment of gratitude but also of sadness. But he liked it very much. Piano music I love but find it hard to make it sound good as it often sounds to synthy if you know what I mean. But will learn that in the future.

In all honesty. It's too tame, sort to speak. Throw in a piano and some strings to bring the life in it. At least that's what I hear. Great quality though mate.

Thanks for your feedback. I have a struggle making synthpiano music sound good as it mostly lacks the human touch. Definetly something to learn for me in the future.

Sorry to hear of your loss Mud.
I can empathise as I've lost them all over the last few years. Leaves me as the oldest male in my family now which I find a little odd.
I keep trying trance buit it has a habit of falling apart around my ears!
This sounds good to me for a comeback track.
I would go for a few louder bits here and there though.
All the best.

mudhoen replied 22nd Jun 2016 - 9 years ago
Thank you! The same is for me now as being the oldest male around in the family. It is definetly odd but thats life. Maybe there could be added somethings but wanted to keep it basic. I might change things in the future.

Sorry about your dad, must be hard. But as you said, life goes on, and making music is surely a good healer. About the track, you know trance is not really a genre I am familiar with, so I can't give good feedback. But the production is great, sounds nice and clean, and it is not boring, some nice changes all along to keep it interesting.

Hey matey

Long time, saw this one in featured so had to come check it out, as you know my fav genre to do is trance, even though have none on site at moment, personally I wouldn't change anything in this track to be honest, only thing maybe and I say maybe is bring in another synth in spots, but like I said don't think you need to do more, it kept me glued to the track all the way through and did have that nice trance fix feel...PS yep I know where you are coming from when losing your father same happened to me back in 2013 after not knowing he was sick, found out about 2 weeks before he past so came as a shock, Yes I struggled to get the head around doing music, but when I did it was a big help in getting out the hurt and sadness, as the saying goes in some way music is a healer (helps anyways) Peace man...mosaic...fav...

Hey Mosaic. Thank you for your comment. i know you are a talented trance producer and hate to see you not posted trance in here anymore. I know the reason and fully understand it but you were a prodcuer i could learn from a lot. I am glad you liek the track. That means im on the good way to learn to make tracks like these. My condoleances for your loss eventhough it is some time ago. It will be a part in our life that always will be there. Music definetly helps out a lot.
