Thats the best word I have to describe it! I love horn instruments in rock-y songs, very nice :D
Sounds like a montage song for some kind of funky grindhouse detective movie directed by Quentin Tarantino!
Pure genius....very professional sounding...nothing unexpected from the legendary Slap...looking forward to working with you...in if we can pull something like this we'll definitely win...
superb as always. I hate all of these rappers who have got a world wide audience and all they can say is 'she wore apple bottom jeans and the boots with the fur'. you have done something i look for in a song. it's all about the music.
this is more than music tho.
and i don't really hate rappers also, that was a little harsh
keep it real homey

Hi Slap,
Great song here. Everthing was good about it. Wish I could sing tho as it's harder doing instrumentals and keeping a song interesting. It is great that you can play several instruments as well, so you can add in variety to a song.
Thanks for the upload, and keep making more...!
Randy
I am always impressed by your tracks' technical mastery and the feel you have for sound and now I can add your impressive vocals to that too. I don't know if I just forgot or if I hadn't heard them before but you got the gift.
Hi Jack, Kind words buddy, thank you. I'm always trying to improve my writing and sound, so if I've impressed you, then I'm doing something right. Cheers Slap...
I knew you were excellent by everyone elses comments. But used team placements for a reason to get around to checking you out, Glad I did. You're definately one of the best. Good vocals too.
This was an interesting setup. It began more like a sample from what could have been a Bjork song...then the ballad had a cool calm feel to it..but then to the 80's pop culture with sax made an interesting twist. All i can say is that you should try doing a mix that puts your voice through a vocoder..it would have made me believe it to be a song about a robot or computer's problem with it's owner...Now THAT would have been the ultimate twist.
Listening to this I'm trying to pick my favourite part of the song?......it's all too good!..but I do like that bass line.....it's got a down and dirty vibe to it...top effort!...I can see the Slapmeister is moving into a 'Blue' period ala Picasso ....Brilliant!...that trip to Chicago had an obvious effect on you....cheers planet
Firstly can i say what a great song. its like two for the price of one ..a soft ballad which then jumps up and wakes you up. nice finishing touch at the end .. would love to hear this played live mik
Hi Mik, It must be silly season with you now! Don't work to hard buddy. I hope your team effort is coming along well, I can't wait to hear it. Thanks for the review.Cheers Slap...
when i came this web for the first time, first song which i hear was yours..now when i here half year and listen your new song i have to tell you that you are legend of looperman:-)big respect...i hope that i will be legend of this site too...sometimes in future:-)great work...
Let me be the frist to review this one matey - you use a good choice of software and the arrangement is great as is the production - great effort matey.
P.S. I play ALL instruments and vocals on all my tracks bro - barring the drums which are done with Drums On Demand.
Would love to have you in my studio playing some horns on my new EP coming out end of 2008!
Slap - its great to know that a fellow Yorkshireman is coming up with tracks like this - loving the horn section man, such a chilled out kick back tune - keep 'em coming man!
much emotions in that vocals man ... very very smooth and gentle!!! brilliant ...
the horns are very interesting, love the harmonies ...
and the percussion in the background is perfect, it's essential for the song, perfect!!
Oh wow!......this really is the personification of what music is all about....like a walk in the sunshine..the pleasure is in just doing it..these little moments, these little insights, these little treasures are the brightest of gems.......I've just had a music lesson....brilliant...cheers planet
Hi Dave, I think you've just given me the highest praise a musician can receive, a player's player, thank you! But in this game, your only as good as your last note, so it's back to the woodshed. Cheers Slap...
When we create,an extraordinary process takes place as with this song...here an encapsulation of one persons deceit and it's effect on others....it's a very Zen like balance not without mystical overtones.....were a negative has inspired such a positive...we are lucky to have someone like Slap who is able to connect the left and right side of ourselves and make sense of it..........beautiful work........planet
Hey mate that slide playing's coming on, your a quick study....I love this slower tempo..it gives everything a rich, full quality..dappled sunlight through the trees.....the vocals sound super!....with some great articulation in the phrases........it's a pity about the track length constraints on looperman...this piece could handle a lengthy bridge..beautiful song!....cheers planet
