nice slow jam mate, wow man, got some wicked talent as always. Who sings this?
Like the shaker/tamb, gives it nice chill atmosphere
the horns in the beginning kinda have like a live band feel
Nice man, get it on, hard!

This is a cool song Slap, love the slide guitar and horn section on this. Yeah, it certainly has a dreamy feel to it, very mellow. Look forward to hearing some more tracks from the album. Watts
Slap, this is really fantastic. I like your voice and the lyrics. Also a good recording. I hope you don't mind if I say I get a Sting feeling with this song. Maybe the sound of the voice and clarinet makes me feel that way.

Super Talented!! Fantastic production. Let me get this straight; you actually played all those instruments? WOW. Forgive my newbieness. You are truely gifted.
hi Steve,
a very emotional tune, great sound and playing
i like this kind of open improvisation without using
a beat or project tempo....wonderful atmosphere
chapeau,Rob
Hi Rob, thanks for the kind words. I just love the rubato feel, playing free! The only problem was I had to judge the gaps i'd left when I recorded the guitar first when it came to the sax track, but I think I managed. Cheers Slap...
Thanks splish, I'm glad you like the song, it might have taken an hour to make and record, but it's taken me years to get to this standard and will take more to get to where i'd like to be. Cheers Slap...
Wow when I listened to your track, it made wanna cuddle up with my girl. Actualy I'm going to download your tune and do exactly that! The sax part is just beautiful, very good track Mister Slap.
I just retyped variations of sentences several times over while listening to this track so that my review wouldn't sound like blubbering rubbish but hot diggedy mother licker, that was a magical display of saxophone virtuosity on your part, Slap. This is the best thing I've heard since "you're never gonna see me again, do anything you want to me".
you have the ability to get me down to earth again with your sax ... that's awesome ...
if I'm at high voltage I only have to listen to one of your instrumentals and the world is good again ...
Thanks for having a rummage around my pages and finding this one. To be honest, I'm writing everyday, so it's just part of what I do. Thanks for putting Lover forward for Donnie's podcast, it was a very kind gesture. Cheers Slap...
Hi Slap,
I am finally getting around to check out some more songs here on Looperman and I picked this newest one from your listing. I really like the song and chord progression. You did well on the harmonica and slide guitar as it fit right in.
Thanks for sharing,
Randy
Hi Randy, thanks for dropping by and casting those trained ears on my first slide attempt. I'm working on a few more songs which feature the slide in open tuning, it's such a great sound. I'm practising as much as time will allow and have been bought a book by a friend, this covers all about the great blues players and thier techniques. I'm hoping to get these finished off soon and maybe we can share notes. Cheers Slap...
Slap you are a stud musician. This track sounds great! Well produced, expertly played all the elements are in place. And there is an element of American-ness to it that is unexpected from a someone in her majesty's kingdom. =) A lot of people are feeling some impact and learning from what you do and that can not ever be discounted in value.
Hi sixfingers, I wish sometimes I was just a stud lol. I have always loved the blues, and from an early age liked listening to jazz and blues. American culture has influenced generations and will keep on doing so. I need to hear real instruments being played by musicians with soul and sang from the heart, I know you will agree, that's our bag. Cheers Slap...
this is up there, probably one of the best on this site. i gotta say, u r one talented dude. keep comin up with stuff for us amatures to listen to and wish we were this dam good.
Hi profita, thank you for your kind and positive comments. I do work really hard at being the best musician I can be, and also when it comes to writing and recording songs. Any songwriter wants to have a song that people can enjoy for what ever reasons, you taking the time to listen and review has made my day and made this song have more meaning and life. Cheers Slap...
