Precioso tema amigo AtticElla, me gusta ese aire de lofi, tiene ese carácter típico de chillout tan característico de este genero. Sonido muy adecuado. Excelente mezcla. Que tengas una buena noche. Paz y salud.
Yeah, kind of getting tired of house and I love lofi hip hop so why not.
So I think what you meant by "mixed too good" is that it was too bright. I uploaded a new version with less high end essentially knocking the air out :P It would mean the world to me if you gave it another listen and tell me what you think. You can shoot me a message if you wish?
Thank you bringerofDOOM for taking the time to listen =)
Hey Attic, you got me here immediately beautiful sound the bass the snare the keys the chimes coming in wonderfully assembled. Fantastic chillout, I would love to here this with a very soft female vox too, think it would work great even just occisionly single word good job
dimestop, I'm so glad you liked my tune. I just wanted to get my feet wet with the style but yes, the vox is definitely a great idea and one I will explore later. Thank you for listening!
AtticElla, this is so classy. The keys are wonderful. Your application of saturation and that lo fi vibe is sweet. Thanks for this tune I’m on the road listening.I love your style! Stay safe.

AtticElla, what you’ve got here is an excellent foundation. There’s plenty of space for another layer of atmospheric synth and a mellow synth lead to talk back to the vocal. Like convert the vocals into midi and tinker with some midi editing on that synth track. I like what you’re doing. Be safe.
kingmt77, I certainly appreciate your suggestions but maybe you are not familiar with the type of house I am producing? This style is purposely sparse, any excess instrumentation would kill the vibe. You can check out any mix by Carlos Grau in YouTube, specially the first song of his latest mix - The Grau Club #09 [Urban Edition] · Carlos Grau · Valencia and you'll see what I mean. I sure appreciate you taking the time to listen and comment. ;)
Paz y salud.
Good job with the dirty mix. I like the tape sound in the beginning (and I'm assuming throughout). You have a good ear for sound quality, which ironically is needed to tastefully destroy a perfectly good clean sound.
All the saturation creates a perceived loudness, so you don't have to crank it to hear it. It sounds like you've watched a lot of tutorials... I guess literally :D
I have been crazy about the lofi hiphop and house on youtube and this is the result. Unfortunately, I don't seem to have a natural rhythm for hiphop or trap or I'd be making that as well.
Yes, I have watched hundreds of tutorials, taken a few online courses, read books, gotten ripped off by people who claimed they had a good product to teach me, etc. etc. Makes me wonder how so many talented people here went about their musical journey. I am so happy to be told that I didn't waste my time! You are the best!
Is the mix ducking a hair when the kick hits? I feel like there is a hint of compression there. If so you are miles ahead of the game, just FYI.
I saw in your profile that you don't play any instruments. As far as I am concerned, manipulating samples and using a MIDI piano rolls are instrumentation (and this is coming from a multi-instrumentalist).
If you are making these timbre, timing, and frequency choices naturally (without any formal music education), then you have competitive advantage (just FYI).
You may want to consider binge watching some traditional music theory content (I recommend Rick Beato), particularly to spice up your chord choices and arpeggio shapes (you will love using 9ths and 7ths). A little film scoring theory (for example) could expand your sound immensely as well.
Also, check out some "French House" if you haven't already, you could steal some of their unorthodox production tricks.
It's not like anything is missing, this is just some food for thought. Excellent work, keep it up.
Yes, I use a bit of ducking here and there when needed or when I think it will fit the rhythm overall.
I would give anything to be able to play the piano but alas, I'm lazy af. The piano roll and I are kinda best friends now. Might need to rethink that.
I have watched a few of Rick's videos, but I think I'll find some more. I never, ever snub good feedback. I would be a fool since it is so scarce as it is. Feedback is gold no matter if good or bad. I really appreciate you taking the time to comment and toss in your ideas. They won't go to waste.
You have very good sounding mixes. Super clean, specific, and intentional (and no harshness or tacky autotune). You sound like you know what you are doing.
Wow bringer, I must have missed this comment. I apologize. Sometimes I find it hard to keep up with things. Thank you so much for your kind remarks. And I believe I did listen can commented on your track.
Attic this is a great house track the drum work is great really lights this up, it's raspy and dirty love it the melody is charming a great arrangement and production love the riser you are bringing fire time and again my friend, keep it up the outro is nice too
AtticElla, tasteful use of effects. Working with saturation effects changes the whole perspective of a track. And you’ve done that with precision. Great work and a really great listen. Be safe.
I'm glad you found the saturation effects work well. Was hoping to get feedback on that aspect. I was going from too much to too little and I think I finally hit a sweet spot. Thanks for the listen and comment.
Buena introducción amigo AtticElla, con clase, con mucha clase. Enorme ritmo, muy conseguido. Suena totalmente profesional, con buenos sonidos y una mezcla perfecta. Que tengas una buena noche compañero. Paz y salud.

Nice chord. melodic, and timbre choices.
Mixed too good for lofi :P
But still excellent. Like kingmt77 said... classy.
Wonder what you would sound like if you explicitly avoided possible genre classification?
Keep it up.

BTW, since you are into house, this is what house and fusion mashed together sounds like:
