Just read BOD's synopsis, and totally concur. this is a great example of filtered deep house. But also as a cool background at a trendy 5star hotel bar. The bass is the star in this track. This is the kind of song that lifts your spirits and makes u feel better after you have listened to it. great job on this one, sad I missed it when it came out!
Me alegra mucho. Paz y salud para ti tambien amigo.
I like the Piano on this, gives a nice deep house vibe. The 16 beat Hi-hat gives some motion to the rhythm. Just a curious mastering question. How much DB headroom are you giving before you compress the mix?
Thanks for listen and comment crucethus. =) I usually leave between 3-6 db headroom before I master depending on how dynamic the peak level of the track is.
Beautiful collaboration - gorgeous - I just plugged in my analogue strings and played along around D minor - the track has enough space in the last minute for some more strings
: )
Hi Ella this is more pop than anything, although it has a pace of house to it, Robbie's keys are fantastic, your vocal is strong and sits perfect within the track and a delicate end. Truly great work guys, Ella and Robbie our new pop diva duo :))
AtticElla, your collaboration with doofus in my opinion should continue. The musical chemistry is obvious. The overall mix is pristine and this should be playing in the clubs! I throughly enjoyed this listen. Thank you for sharing.

Paz y salud.
Thank you monkwee. Yes, the collaboration was pretty fun and it went so smooth. I loved working with doofus and his pianos just elevated the song to a new level. Thanks again for listening. =)
Bonez, it's not lofi. I do use some lofi treatment on my music tho but just some distortion and a bit of noise. The ableton live saturator seems so harsh to me.
Bass sounded good to me on this track, AtticElla. You did great job of weaving all those intricate different parts together on the track. And, you definitely know how to place a vocal in the mix properly. Very clean mix. Another excellent piece of work.
Hi, AtticaElla! I just finished reading your forum thread about why more people don't engage more with the featured tracks. Wasn't sure what I'd find with your stuff, but was VERY impressed with this track. I only post a comment when I really like the track, or think it shows that the LM member has great promise and deserves some encouragement. In this case, it clearly is a very polished piece of work and demonstrates that you definitely can create a really good house track. I''m impressed.
My favourite DM genre is trance, but I think house probably is a close second. I really did enjoy this.
I usually try to provide some constructive comments, although (as in this case) there's no way I could come close to making a track that sounds as good as this. But here goes.
I thought the bass part was a bit indistinct in the mix. I think it was actually the bass patch (timbre), not the level. I am not familiar with the original version, but it would be interesting to hear your remake with a tighter bass sound.
Also, I thought the drums were a bit too prominent in the mix, at least at the end of the track. But, that's really a matter of taste I think, and maybe integral to the sound of the house genre. I never know, in my own tracks, how loud to make the drums parts. They often sound OK on my headphones when I'm doing the mix, but way too prominent when I listen to the mp3 bounce in my car.
Anyway, very nice work! I'm definitely going to check out some of your other tracks! :)
Hi Eric! Thank you for checking out my tunes. Really appreciate it.
Yes, I agree with your bass timbre observation. I think it maybe needs more high end or more distortion. Well it needs something. I will work with your suggestion thank you.
The drums don't seem to me any more prominent than my reference tracks but I didn't reference this particular track in my car. I used to reference a lot on my car but eventually got used to 'dialing' in the mix levels that would sound good in my car before and I just trust that. Guess I just get lazy. I'll check again.
One thing that you've made me realize is that this track might need some level automation on the drums at the beginning and the end as they seem more prominent there compared to the rest of the track. A few db might go a long way.
I really appreciate the listen and feedback. I'll check your tracks soon as well! =D
Otra joya para mis oídos querida amiga. Me gusta mucho ese sonido oscuro, potente, que me trae sensaciones agradables, muy placenteras. impresionante pista, muy bien producida, y muy buena mezcla. Que tengas una buena noche amiga mía. Paz y salud.
Nice track Ella, love the pacy beat, with the hi-hat stack the dark synths add a depth to it that keeps you thinking where its leading, then boom the beat and hi-hats are back, well done nice listen

doofus did such a great job with the piano parts, I just love the expanded dimension it imparts to the track. In my opinion, his pianos made the song.
