Kind of hard to keep time on this 1. I hear alot of elements but I can not hear any direction. Try it again but build around the guitar and hit parts. It sounds like you have not quantized anything. Even the smallest percent of quantize, 40-70% will tighten your parts and not have them sound computerish. Otherwise, solid effort and congrats on the upload. Tight work. Only 1 way but up!
Messy, syncopated and childish. Strange, annoying and weird. I have to say that you will have to feel the music, sorry, dont be sad but personally I prefer to hear the truth. My truth isnt universal but is evident in this case. Try to make first a melody, then make a track, if you know what I mean. Again, sorry.
I enjoyed the variety. Good job having multiple parts. I would like to hear you expand the different sections a bit more, avoiding the loop feel. Loud. Keep up the good work. Only 1 way but up!
Sup James. I'm really feeling your synth work here. The melodies are pretty good. I agree with Spivkurl on the drum bit. To me it sounds off, but I need to hear how your vocals will go, maybe it might turn the drums in a different feel. But so far pretty good. I can hear some rap on this piece. Keep at it man, you'll get in sounding best in no time. Thanks for sharing. Have a good one. Peace!
The synths on this are really awesome! I think the drums could be a little more on beat, but I could see them being good as a backing for some rapping. This is a very original style, I like it!
Hey James, i'd agree this is probly your best track yet, you've turned down some of the chaos and seem to be pulling things together a little better. There could but a little more variation to spice up the track, but it's a step in the right direction. Keep workin bro :)
Hi James. I like your ideas behind this track and I look forward to hearing more of your future works.
I think there have been some very encouraging words and sound advice offered to you regarding the arrangement and mix of your tracks, which if you take on board, will help you massively as you continue with your art (I know it certainly helps me and I find the advice invaluable).
A lot of your songs are very fast paced and chaotic. That's not a bad thing, fast and chaotic can be sweet, but i'd be interested to hear you slow a track down and keep the instrumental a little more basic (particularly the percussive aspects). Hearing a track from you using a looperman drum loop at about 90 bpm would be cool. just my thoughts.. in the end, keep havin fun bud :)
Whats up man. Def stick to rap and don't worry about singing. I think with alittle practice your going to be one of the best rappers on the loop. Your young so you got time. I am really impressed with what you put together for only being 13. Keep it up man!
Interesting concept. I didn't hear a bass line. Don't worry i had the same problem. Tune your drums down. Add some transitions. Nice try do. I alway respect the hustle
I recommend you get your drum tracks down first of all. Get very familiar with quantizing; it seems you may need to make quantization a very good friend. Try tapping out the tempo of one of your favorite commercial tracks. No one always keeps a perfect tempo or rhythm and that's fine. What you gotta do is find a groove for your music.
Solid beat from DollarMenunaire. Although the singing is shakey, you have an interesting style of rapping, which i enjoyed. Keep working at it man. You're young, i wish i got started when i was 13! I look forward to hearing your progress, just keep makin the music you love and it'll fall into place over time. All the best man,
Brent
