im so happy you feel that way too Dan, I am involved in loads of online chats about AI and music, I'm not a fan but all the people who don't like it that i follow have tried it, so i did too, i was shocked by the quality and how long it took, i done it a couple weeks ago and was never gonna bring it, but i wanted my Christmas track off so put this up cos I haven't done anything else yet,
that was my reaction too Dan, oh shit, i gave it a few directions uploaded my file and pressed a button, this is fraud bruv, i might use it to make myself a backing vocalist tho, or is that cheating still, if i use it as a resource, i still have to put the work in like a DAW plugin, i don't know it just felt like i was cheating on everyone :-(

i tried it Fanis my take was awful, i couldn't get on it like this, that's why i went to Suno, i dont want to use AI but we may have to embrace it as a tool,
now if i want a female to back me and ad lib i can write the exact lyric i want and make it in Suno, i can also create a vocal that gives me a break, and shares the stage, first time using it as a resource, more work but maybe a better finish, it wont stem my creativity i may look a little deeper into it and how to get the best benefit

i love this time of year, having 4 grandchildren makes it even better, im so looking forward to spending the day with my son and his family, had my daughter and her family 4 days ago, i too enjoy all the food and chocolate, the treats are everywhere, why not indulge, its Christmas, I'll also have a few whiskey's too, my favorite tipple, that'll be after wine with my dinner and a couple or 6 buds, who said it was just for the kids lol

thanks aboe, i agree when the music gets louder it gets a little lost, i very rarely use side-chain on vox, i tend to multi-layer and chop, then i keep the main vox centred and pan everything else, all on a separate channel so i can fx everything separately I am still trying to master this engineering game, im not bad but theres lots to learn & bags of improvement to be made lol, it was just a quickie one take and minimal production, but it turned out better than i thought, thanks for ALL the feedback its appreciated

having pre-sets that I've built is great for workflow and your own signature as i only need to tweak things on future tracks, i occasionally add a different plugin depending on what my end result is, I've learnt so much from my own perseverance and this incredible community, thanks again for your time and support bro

thanks Paul, i've always fancied doing a xmas track, i was happy with it tbf, i did want want my 5 year old grandson to say 'tell me a story grandad' at the begin, as the intro but my son said no chance pops he's 5, music's your thing lol, thats why its a pre-chorus opening :-)
i do agree with him if i stop to think about it tho, exposing him to social media what was i thinking. I've got 4 altogether 2 of each from my son and daughter

thanks for the stop off Jared, Merry Christmas bruv, i think its a tester to write a Christmas track but i thought the lyrics i wrote were cool a modern take and wow, it was Beatle like, i feel honoured. my pops was a massive Beatles fan i grew up listening to them, i have always wanted to do a Crimbo piece, so that's that box ticked. its so far from what i normally do but i love the festivities too, i got 4 grandkids

thankyou Dan, its quite difficult to write something for Christmas without being cheesy or sounding like a remix of a classic, so I was really pleased with this, although i spoke of loneliness and war , i tried to keep it bright and delivered it positively,
