There's something about this I V VI IV progression that always hits the spot. I love the emotions in the music and the Christmas vibes from the jingling bells.

Merry Christmas to you sir

The backing track reminds me a little of Nujabes. I like where you were aiming on this one. The instrumental choices were a good combination, That's where I get the Nujabes feel from it. Specifically with the flute loops, and the stumble stops.
I have a few suggestions for your mix if you want them. If so, let me know. If not, just tell me to fuck off with it.
Either way. I like what you've done here. It fits your vocal flow very well.
Take care, Paul.
Aaron.

Ah, you are a modern day troubadour, weaving your magical tales with a skill that has been developed over the many years you have done this. I bring up the troubadour because the music had almost a middle ages feel to it (loved that). You are one of my favorite rappers and this tune illustrates why. Great job my friend. I hope all is well.

'tracksuit armour trainers scuffed
graffiti on the shutters

These are such evocative bars that take me back, tight lines brother and loving the tripping instrument stops, not so many people are doing them but their so good.

dimestop replied 19th Nov 2025 - 6 months ago
thanks for the lovely comment sounders, i do try to keep it original, but old skool, thats what attracted me to rap and hip hop, cos the beats were always on point, but the lyrics just gripped me, the rhymes and stories you can't write cheese these days, you'd just get hammered lol, i got some good un' to come, thanks again

hello Richard, its always a pleasure to have you stop by any time, i put a lot in to this one and it was confident, i sometimes brings things to my music that come from others, and your theme is evident, i hope you liked my church references etc, i done that for you bruv all rappers sing about the Lord. yet non have been in a church, well maybe a wedding lol, i just avoid it thats peoples private, nothin to do with me, I been church plenty. i have been struggling with a sore throat and runny nose for the past 14 days, so i havent laid anything else yet, but Im starting to improve, got some powerful lyrics to come, next is a big one too, keep checkin brother :}

dimestop
dimestop replied 15th Nov 2025 - 6 months ago
thanks 500 i have never uploaded an acapella, i was asked before by another and it was just hassle to get permission from LM they never gave me access and tbf i never thought anyone would want my vox, apparantley I'm wrong, I am probably my own biggest hater and critic, but I'm starting to think better of myself now, its good to see you about and get another comment from you thanks bro

hello Rita its great to see you, you know i was extremely concerned about your fall. one step at a time, baby steps so to speak, you'll be fine, you are resilient Mrs, health first, then music, without the health, there is no music.
i loved this track and really felt it, i thought it showed too lol. Ive done nothing for the past 2 weeks tho, i got a few good ones to come in this mini project, but I'm enjoying myself so much more now, i invested a good bit of money and still have the 61 key midi to get and I'm upgrading my mice to a better one Shure or Rode, not made my mind up yet. its great to see you back in my comments,
this is an early Christmas present our Rita is back
I'll be on your new one too

The vocals on this are excellent. It reminds me of either the Gorillaz or The Streets or a mixture of both? Either way, I like it. The song really flows and the vocals are the icing on the cake. Top marks.

Lovely Paul
It is your game and you are good at it. I've told you again, there is an originality that makes your songs unique and distinct. The lyrics are gorgeous and your mood is prominent and clear. You love what you do and it shows. So it sure is one of my favorites.
Friendly greetings, Anthony
dimestop
dimestop replied 5th Nov 2025 - 6 months ago
thanks Anthony, im glad you pick up on the prominent mood, i felt extremely confident with this work, when i wrote it i thought, i like this one and it went so easily everything. i tried to deliver it in a prominent manner and as i said in my description i was really pleased to bring it, i loved what i wrote and how i delivered it, nothing mumbled clear and precise, mastering was easy also i got a slightly better sound than i thought i could achieve, its one of my all time favs i've come up with, so thanks again as you feel the same about it, and it inspires me to continue

Paul! I'm really feeling that melody. Question? Was that saturation on the low end intentional? I would love for you to tweak that low end. Your flow is FIRE and that low end punch must be surgical to match the energy of your flow. May I suggest backing off the low end saturation and gimme some more of that low end sub? Just a touch. See you are a sound smith like me. The track is fly on it's own and that extra touch ain't nothing but the cherry on top. As I have said before, what you do and where you've come from is admirable. Keep on cutting and chopping my friend.
Peace,
Mark
dimestop
dimestop replied 27th Oct 2025 - 7 months ago
Mark lovely to have you write me, yes it was intentional, i can only listen to pros like you, i'm a story teller, that comes natural. but i always wanted to be the band too but could never get the sounds you were all bringing, yeah you have watched me grow, i understand the dynamics of music far more now and things like saturation, stereo separation, low end exciters, using dynamic EQ's etc, i suppose its classed as sound design, these things are as important to me as the vox and beat now, getting the engineering right is the most difficult part because i'm my biggest critic, but i love the tactical battle its the engineering that makes or breaks a work and reading comments from collegues i respect gives me all the inspiration i will ever need, thankyou
